Speaking to Sean Hannity on Fox News Friday night, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich told the conservative pundit that "the left wing of the Democratic Party, frankly, kind of admires American terrorists." Gingrich then went on to say that "they don't mind at all that Farrakhan is anti-semitic. They shrug off Jeremiah Wright."

Gosh - let's see: Eric Rudloph and Christian Identity; James Kopp and the Army of God; Tim McVeigh and Elohim City among other fans; now James Hagee, Parsley, and all the Dominionists who think they're called to kill us all off so Jesus can come again. And then Pat and Jerry and all the nutters who seemed to approve of 9/11 as evidence of God's punishment for the rest of us. I don't see Newt dissing any of these and, in fact, seemed during his brief Presidential aspirations, to be courting them. So an angry Black minister is a 'terrorist' but fomenting white ones are prophets? But then what would you expect from a serial adulterer who justifies his existence by saying he's "repented'. Must be nice that his oral relativity is that simple. Wow. He's just breathtaking in his hypocrisy!

This coming from the political wing that venerates the Confederate flag, emblem of a domestic terrorist organization bent on tearing America in two in order to remain in the Dark Ages.

It's the same old Republican tactic. Make a monster out of the people you want to ruin so that you can keep your big tax cuts, health care for the wealthiest, throw ethics out the window so you can support your greed, make the separation wider between the wealthy and the poor, throw out your wife while suffers from cancer in her hospital bed to marry your aide (then cheat on her)--then impeach and condemn someone on of those who dared to defy your ways when he strays sexually. Make a monster out of the people who might take a little portion of your vast wealth that has been accumulated by shafting the working class and the poor. Play the fear card over and over. It's worked for eight long years, why should the Republicans stop now.
What's that? Winds of change are blowing. Oh, ring he bells, bring out the terrorist cards, call those who listen to the winds of change unpatriotic, call upon the public to fear anyone whose skin is darker, wreak havoc upon the reputations of those who work for change. Spread false rumors of hate and mistrust of anyone whose religion doesn't fit within your boundaries, and hold your breath that they don't begin to question the past eight years and the corporate-owned MSM and the scoundrel that you have become. Hold your breath that they don't begin to see through your masquerade.

I really wish Hannity would choke on a pretzel. Seriously, I know that Newt's the center of this story, but Hannity is just the biggest douche in mainstream media since... well, since el-Rushbo! He makes the most ridiculous statements that sound like they came straight from the mouth of a Right wing conspirator and people just eat it up. How can anyone accept his drivel as facts? It's so obviously opinion. And crazy ones at that.

Must be true. Newt has unimpeachable credibility as one who has his finger on the pulse of the left wing of the Democratic Party. Right? Oh, and he gets to decide who the "American terrorists" are. Sheesh. Why is this guy still be interviewed about anything?

Why do these "people" get to make this stuff up? Why does it always work? I must be an elitist, because I just don't get it.

I wonder if Gingrich ever asks himself why he went from nearly the pinnacle of politics to just another hack political observer in a few brief years. His descent was meteoric in its rapidity. Like most conservatives, he is not very self-aware.

That is probably the nicest and kindest thing one could ever say about Newt! realpolitic, you have a good heart! He on the other hand, seems not to have one or a good mind at all.

Yeah the Republican Party has sure given us a fine demonstration of what it means to be patriotic over the years.

Interesting. I just saw a PSA with both Newt and Nancy Pelosi sitting side by side, smiling into each others eyes and talking about Bi partisan fight on Global Warming.
Here I just found a link about the spot. http://newsblaze.com/story/2008041808330300001.pnw/newsblaze/POLITICS/Politics.html

So , is Pelosi on Newts side, or is Newt on Nancy's side? They both are amongst the biggest lying and deceptive Aholes this side of Uranus.

Does Newt have any credibility at all with his dirty character in the past ?
I did not even bother to read the rest of the story.

Whatever he says is Junk..and dirt...

I think Newt is alright when it doesn't have to do with caricatures of other people. He is good for understanding policies, but was NO GOOD when it came to applying those 'compassionate' policies to people he did not like.

BRILLIANT mind (in the way that he can cut through complex social phenomena). HORRIBLE FOLLOW-UP or follow through.

I think he believes he and all the people he likes are better than everybody else. He is what gave partisanship the bite it has today. He can take the Contract on America and his belief that people on the left don't care about the underlying social condition of their fellow man and stick it.

Yep. We all know that only right wingers love America. Everyone else is unpatriotic, terrorist hugging scum.

Where have I heard that bullshit before? Oh, yeah. German Worker's Party circa 1932. They loved the Fatherland and they were fond of patriotic lapel pins just like Newt and company.

Yep, another comparison of the Republican Right Wing to the Nazis. Just seems so apt. Maybe that's why it keeps coming up. It may be the Nazi party prior to Krystal Nacht but the odor is certainly the same.

Right Wingers don't love America. They are in love with their idea of America and they would rather destroy the country rather than allow any other vision for America to prevail.

I'm sorry, but Farrakhan and Wright are not terrorists. I haven't seen either of them kill or terrorize anybody.
