Senators Slam White House Over Budget Priorities

Senators Barbara Mikulski and Pat Murray blasted White House budget czar over spending priorities during a Senate Appropriations Committee meeting on Wednesday. Think Prorgress reports:

One of the most combative moments came when Sen. Barbara Mikulski (D-MD) chastised Nussle for his "snarky, scolding, dismissive" responses to the senators and the Bush administration's attitude toward funding the nation's law enforcement officers.

Why is it that bush has no problem sending billions to iraq, but when it comes to america, oh no we can't afford to spend money in america. Meanwhile, Iraq sits on 100 billion dollars while they cash our checks. This fact alone is why we can't afford four more years of republican rule.

Excuse me but the Republican base is the "Have's and Have More's". It is not now nor has it ever been the average American whom they dispise, disrespect and lie to on a constant basis. I defy anyone to show mw Republican legislation that even slightly enhanced the lives of the poor or middle class without greatly enriching their base at the same time.
