Not that it matters much, but Clinton's got better celebrities.

You really think so? Clinton supporters are misinformed or willfully evil, in any case.

Totally disagree, unless she is aiming to please the geriatric set. Barbara Streisand and Ted Danson and Elton John? Please tell me you are kidding.

Since my favorite celebrities have all gone to the Big Casino-- Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Audrey Hepburn, Bogie, Astaire, Miles Davis-- I was mildly surprised to see some names on this list of people I do kind of like: Jennifer Aniston, Scarlet Johannsen (sp?), Robert De Niro, George Clooney (but not the Ocean's 11 remakes), Ben Affleck. I was on the fence about Obama, but this story seals the deal (just kiddin', natch).

I like this Idea! send the Oman to Hollywood, but please keep him the hell away from DC.

Too bad the POTUS election in November isn't confined to the left coast, NY and IL. That way, Obama might actually have a chance to win.

The rest of the country will say otherwise. Obama might win five states total, if he's lucky.

Maybe he will do another version of "Candle in the Wind" dedicated to Hillary. It kind of fits.

This must have been written before the Springsteen endorsement. The Boss would be #1.

He would certainly be up there, but Oprah probably has the most influence and deserves the #1 spot.

"Top 10 Celebrity Obama Supporters"

Shows just how shallow the HuffPo perceives their viewership to be. Or, it tells us just how shallow HuffPo really is.

Frankly, I had my mind made up long before I saw who the top celeb supporters were. And, now that I am celeb-edified, my position hasn't been in any way affected.

I will have to hold my nose to vote for either but I do think that the Obama supporters have probably already lost it for him with the non-stop insults, sarcasim and bitter hatred that they put out there every day. And just FYI - remember it was Oprah who gave us that moron, Dr. Phil. Maybe she should have stuck with her policy of not endorsing.

It's truly amazing to see how many groups are targeted for hate mongering by liberals.

It's amazing to me that anyone would decide anything based on a candidate's supporters, rather than on the candidate him or herself.

their careers depend upon us and therefore they are relying on us to support them And they will therefore play to their audience, which has followed them due to their actions & beliefs.

Stars present themselves to the audience and they surely do NOT want to lose their PAY CHECK!

That's one endorsement that Obama probably trying to distance himself from.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 07:41 AM on 04/22/2008

I am not sure Mr. Moore would be described as a "Hollywood" guy. More of a "Michigan" guy.

Speaking of celebrity endorsements, seems Eddie Rendell, Gov. PA, can't say enough good things about Louis Farrakahn, to him personally! Oooops Hillary! Bet you didn't know this was out there. Time to "denonce and reject," both your shill Rendell and Farrakahn. Seems Eddie can't say enough good things about the man, or the Nation of Islam! lol

Shouldn't you be in school? "Hufftard." Clever, for a 12-year-old.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 12:13 PM on 04/21/2008

I guess I'm what you'd call a Hufftard (clever; did you think that up yourself?). For the record, I'd rather be a Hufftard than whatever it is you are. Anyway, I don't watch TV. I guess I'll have to hear what the candidates say, find out where they stand on the issues that I consider important (hint: flag pins and their spouses extrmarital affairs don't make the list), and make up my own mind. Just like I've done in every election since 1972.

celebrity endorsement...can't wait...not superficial are we....maybe that is why under scrutiny, Dems totally collapse

Yes, we Dems do collapse under scrutiny - at least since JFK. But it is not because of superficiality or celebrity endorsements. We are not more personally moral than Republicans, we are more socially conscious and philosophically expansive. In short, we tend to get caught up in our emotions while Republicans get caught up in their economics - a far more cut and dry quality.

Given the vicissitudes of the world of nations and the internal issues of our own, it would seem that a fair mix of Republican expediency and Democrat collectivism might be in order. McCain offers all of the former and none of the latter; Clinton offers a lot of the former and some of the latter; Obama offers a considerable mix of both. So we Dems collapse because we offer to the American people a vision that is not immediately clear, that is nuanced and encompassing. Republicans offer a straighforward posture of survival of the fittest, of rugged individualism, of you and you alone are responsible for your personal failure or success in this capitlalistic society. And pride makes us buy it. The same pride that comes before a fall. Which explains President Bushs' ever-declining ratings.

Larry King has endorsed Hillary by giving her a FULL ONE HOUR interview the night before the Pennsylvania Democratic election. You might also say that by so doing CNN has endorsed Hillary.

It is unheard of that ONE candidate be given prime time publicity by a popular television host just before an election.

Only in America eh!

I've never seen a man who could raise the hair on the back of my neck with such regularity when he speaks. Men like this come along -- if we're lucky -- once a century. Hillary needs to get out of the way and let the man open up and run! Go Obama!

This is exactly why countries such as France require equal air-time for their candidates. One person is not supposed to be given more exposure than the others. In this situation, it is clear that the only thing giving Clinton any steam is name recognition. Any time the two go into a state where they haven't campaigned all that much Clinton has a huge lead. As soon as both candidates get fairly even exposure the numbers move closer and closer.

We need to DELUGE CNN with protest letters. I'm damned well going to write them right now!

Same thing, in Britain, everyone gets equal airtime to hammmer home their issues. All in the name of fairness and equality

CNN has become the new Fox network. Fair and balanced news, not anymore CNN.
