Former President Bill Clinton, speaking to reporters after his wife's event in Pittsburgh, PA Monday, said that under the republican primary system -- his wife would be ahead by hundreds of delegates.

"I did not actually get the delegates necessary to have a first power of the nomination under the crazy system the democrats have," Clinton said. "If we were under the republican system which is more like the electoral college, she would have a 300 delegate lead ...It's an eternity 'til the general election, an eternity."

"Hillary would be winning under GOP primary rules," says Bill Clinton.

In that case, she should join the Republican Party.

She uses Karl Rove's tactics, she walks the walk and talks the talk...

Bill and Hillary Clinton have sold their souls to the devil. All for the prospect of getting back into the White House. They are so deep in debt not only to those they owe during the campaign, but also to all the lobbyists they have made promises to over the last 8 years when they originally began to strategize their return to the White House.

Sadly, they will not only lose their place at the table in the White House, they have lost their souls, they will have drained their checking account and they will STILL be indebted to the lobbyists.

They are a prime example of what greed and the thirst for power does to people.

Love the picture. Talk about a uncomfortable, strained, forced embrace. I bet that's the closest they have been to each other in years. Ah, what the hell. It's all for a good cause - right Hillary?

Bill Clinton incorrectly assumed that Barack Obama would campaign the same way even if the rules were different. He's almost certainly wrong -- under the Republican rules, Obama would adjust his tactics, and might still win.

I can't believe I actually used to kind of like the Clintons. What happened to them? They completely sold out their ideals, and severely tarnished their legacy. All the while inadverdently helping to elevate Barack Obama.

What's even scarier is, what if this is the way they've always been and it's just now becoming visible? Makes one wonder what we don't know about them during those days we actually thought he was doing a good job!

His process of logic becomes more inverted, warped, and impossible to follow with each passing day. Listening to him is like being interrogated by a sphinx with a learning disability.

Many would prefer Bill and Hillary join the GOP. They mimic their actions and now they are claiming victory under their rules. It is time they made a change for the better, join the GOP.

And if I had a nickel for every time Hillary & Bill lied, I'd be Warren Buffet. But we don't live on the planet Clinton, where you get to make up your own rules in the middle of the game...

I think that once again, Bill Clinton's blood supply has been diverted to his second brain. I wonder
who the unlucky bimbo is, this time.

To FORMER President Clinton -- this is NOT A MONARCHY or a COMMUNIST REGIME. You cannot dictate the rules to suite yourself. You cannot change the rules to suit yourself. You CANNOT STEAL THIS ELECTION.

From a former devoted supporter of you and your wife.

But it's ok for you and the other Obama-crats to change the rules.

Nowhere is it written that who ever is ahead in pledged delegates by the last primary wins.

Wonderful spin by Obama-ites I must say, to act as if pledged delegates added up to some sort of de facto election win when nothing could be further from the truth.

The Democratic Primary system is a selection and vetting process, not a mini-General Election for Democrats. It was set up after 1972 to pick the best candidate to win in the Fall, not the one that activists liked the best..

If no candidate reaches the number needed to win, then no candidate is viable. (viability, remember that? It's a term that is a caucus favorite...).

It is then left for Super Delegates to decide who will be the Party's candidate and, yes, Obama will probably win them. (I have my problems with the Super Delegates ranging from the "lemming mentality" to dis-loyalty)

The real problem will come if Obama leads in Pledged Delegates and Hilliary leads in popular vote. Won't that be a fun free for all.

By the way, the Republican primary rules are exactly like the General Election rules. Winner take all.

Ok lets just wait till the primary is over then. Then we will see who is the nominee ok?

""lemming mentality" to dis-loyalty"

spoken, or should I say whined, like a true Clinton supporter

"if Hilliary leads in popular vote"

given she's about 800,000 votes behind (and losing badly in the national polls) that shouldn't be a problem

"the Republican primary rules are exactly like the General Election rules"

"The Democratic Primary system is a selection and vetting process, not a mini-General Election"

Sheesh, make up your mind. Are you going to chastise people to remember that it is a system to vet and select a candidate "not a mini-General Election for Democrats" or are you going to whine that it's not more like the republicans?.

Perhaps Sen. Clinton should switch parties. I'm sure she'd feel more comfortable, and she wouldn't have to explain all of that CorporateCash she loves so well.

The Dem primary would be more effective if it were run like a general election. It's amazingly short sighted to have such a messed up system.

If Obama gets the nomination and blows the swing states, it'll be yet another colossal screw up by the party that can screw up anything.

Bill ran twice under the same rules. He had 8 years after that to change them if he thought they were bad. He was leader of the party, he could have done it if he wanted to. The first time I have heard him complain was when Hillary was behind.

Bill Clinton raises a very pertinent point.

But let's think globally

If this were Zimbabwe, it wouldn't matter what the final vote was ... (though maybe that would mean that Pan would stay for more terms)

If this were the PRC, the Party "elders" (and I do mean elders) would pick the candidate who would be assured of winning (though the elders might favor McCrazy as one of their own)

If this were a hereditary monarchy, then presuming the right accident of birth Sister Yoda could be Queen Yoda ..(or we could have a War of the Roses Lancaster (Bush) and York (Clinton)

Pity isn't it.
