I Like ItI Don’t Like It
Osama Ad

Today's polling indicated a slight upward trend for Senator Hillary Clinton in Pennsylvania, with most numbers tacking above the margin for error. Still, there might be something to the rumors that tomorrow's primary is expected to be a tight contest, and the clearest sign that the Clinton campaign is taking that seriously is that they've released a new thirty-second ad called "Kitchen," which "detail[s] how tough the job of President is...asking voters who they think is ready to step in and handle it." And, hey! Look who makes a cameo appearance! None other than stock footage of Osama bin Laden, presumably on loan from the defunct Giuliani campaign.

And now, for the rebuttal, please welcome President William Jefferson Clinton:

UPDATE: And in a rebuttal to the rebuttal, we have campaign newbie, Geoff Garin, who says: "It states the reason why Hillary Clinton is the right choice to be president now...the premise of this ad and this campaign is that we're at a moment where we need a president who's got the strength and the knowledge to take on very tough challenges...To say that she is the best choice on those things, there's nothing negative about that."

Indeed, the most "positive" thing about the ad may be its efficacy. As Talking Points Memo notes, "Dropping a last-minute bomb in order to sow doubts about Obama among the late-breaking undecideds -- and doing it in the guise of an ad only mentioning Hillary -- worked in Ohio and Texas. Camp Hillary is hoping that the tactic will deliver a second time."

MORE UPDATES: And, so, this little spat escalaltes to "Defcon: OMFG!" From Obama spokesman Bill Burton:

When Senator Clinton voted with President Bush to authorize the war in Iraq, she made a tragically bad decision that diverted our military from the terrorists who attacked us, and allowed Osama bin Laden to escape and regenerate his terrorist network. It's ironic that she would borrow the President's tactics in her own campaign and invoke bin Laden to score political points. We already have a President who plays the politics of fear, and we don't need another.

So, uhm...Hillary Clinton is to blame for Osama bin Laden being at large? Really? That's what you're gonna go with, Burton? Can't wait for this primary contest to end in that bring-the-party-together "Dream" ticket!

UPDATES GALORE: The Obama campaign has produced an ad in response to today's Clinton ad. Man, when this primary is over, just think about how "bitter" all the out-of-work political ad people are going to be!

Thalia, I want to hear from you on this matter - can you still argue for a Clinton presidency?

Come on Thalia......you are a feminist who wants a woman in the Oval, eh? You want Roe v Wade.

Here is my prediction. Say the SD gives her the nomination. The liberals, progressives and populists will stay home. Yes, Thalia, they will stay home. They have had it with the GOP wing of the Democratic Party.

President Mc Cain will unbelievably win. He will appoint justices in the SCOTUS that will overturn Roe and send it to the states. He will make tax cuts permanent. He will destroy the middle class. He will make Boomer retirement a peasant retirement greeting at Wal-mart.

If Obama wins the nomination, then we will not count on your vote or any Hillbot. We should since we voted for your wing twice. Given the real choice, President Obama will save everything you cherish,,.,.your nation if not your party.....and your civil rights.....THALIA YOU ARE COMMITING POLITICAL SUICIDE SUPPORTING THIS THIS THIS THIS WOMAN.

Clinton warns Iran of U.S. nuclear response
Senator: ‘Massive retaliation’ for attack on Israel would likely include NATO

Wow! That Hillary Clinton sure is tough! Man what a leader!

Who knew?

Mark this down as a big coup for Mrs. Clinton.

She can obviously talk a great massive nuclear retaliation.

I wonder sometimes...Is there any politician in the free world who has EVER encountered a little thing called the PRINCIPLE OF MUTUAL DESTRUCTION?

What a phony wannabe Bushbot this Hillary is.

Any sane person would say of course there would be retaliation and we would hope that the situatiion would never arise. Until that day comes what's the point of batting around wholly fictional scenario's? All it does is inflame. Oh that's right. That was Hillary's objective.

These lying, preening, phony, stink of fear, screwpantsed criminals are getting to be too much anymore. Hillary most reminds me of Richard M. Nixon.

These monsters love war and killing and power and domination.

Hillary lives for adulation and relishes laying down the phony knee-jerk ultimatum. Purely for effect.

Is this how you achieve Peace? I think not. Shame on Hillary for her extemist rhetoric which in fact serves no purpose whatsoever. She's a horrible hateful evil person. We need someone who is willing to start the peace and normaiization process with the Middle East now. For real. Not some bombastic puppet of the military.

For the first time since 1960-8 the youth (Gen X and Y) are engaged. They have no land lines. They have cell phones and are not polled. They usually disengage from the political process. The DLC does not want them to engage. They are not DLC or DINO wing. They are liberals, progressives and populists. The MSM does not want to have them engage, either. They will destroy the profits of their parent companies.

So, let us say that the MSM is successful in giving the nomination to Senator Clinton. She leaves the Denver convention as the Democratic presidential nominee. At that point, the Obama delegates will leave and stay home. The presidency will go GOP and the House and Senate will be lost as well. The Senate has never really been in contention, and many new House members from 2006 will be defeated by their predecessors.

The Professional Pols think that when push comes to shove, that their core base, whom they despise, will vote for them. THE ANSWER IS NOT NO, BUT NEVER EVER NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

Link to info about the Bush administration effectively repealing the Second Amendment right to bear arms:
http://www2.ljworld.com/news/2008/apr/22/sebelius_signs_machine_gun_bill/

Meanwhile the Democratic governor of Kansas has signed in legislation to allow Kansas to own automatic weapons, saws-off shotguns, silencers and other guns that were formerly banned.

It isn't the Democrats who want to take away your guns.

Huh? Is this because Charlton Heston isn't around anymore? Where do I have to turn my Mauser in?

There has been two parties runnig our country for how long now? And your writing like this was just discovered? Great post. Revelatory. Truly groundbreaking. Bravo.

What a topsy-turrvy upside down alternate universe you inhabit my friend.

See how I used "my friend". Just like John McCain!

Here is a video that I think will shock you.

This is Gov. Rendell of Penn. praising Minister Farrakan and the Nation of Islam. Will Hillary ask for the Gov. to denounce and reject him?

After all in last week's debate she claimed that she was so offended by the fact that Jeremiah Wright praised Farrakan.

Please copy and paste the following link. Thank you.

P.S. I know that you are running a different campaign, but this is another example of hipocracy from the Clinton campaign.

For the last 48 hours, the MSM Gaming Shows were abandoning journalism for off track betting parlours and ratings. Aside from supporting the bottom billions of dollars line for their parent companies, especially GE with MIC generals hawking their wares, we have been witness to what "INFORTERTAINMENT 24/7 IS ABOUT."

They want John McCain as the 44th POTUS. The ONLY way that they can continue the BUSH BONANZA is to allow HILLARY AND BILL CLINTON to game the system, and hurt the Democratic Party in the general election by probably fatally hurting SENATOR OBAMA, whom ALL AGREE will be the NOMINEE.

THE CLINTONS KNOW HOW MUCH THE THEOCONS HATE THEM. In fact, they are counting on it.

The Bush administration wants to curb your gun rights.

That's right - the Bush administration recently tried to interpret the Second Amendment in a way that would restrict gun ownership by ordinary citizens and it was being decided in court and where has the media been with reporting the outcome of that?????

Meanwhile, Democratic Governor Kathleen Sibelius of Kansas has signed legislation allowing Kansans to own a whole bunch of additional types of guns that have been banned in the state. http://www2.ljworld.com/news/2008/apr/22/sebelius_signs_machine_gun_bill/

"Bush wants to take away your guns and the Democrats are giving you more guns."
That statement is parently untrue.

"The bill had bipartisan support among legislators and passed both chambers with more than the two-thirds majorities necessary to override a veto."

Its good to see the old Urinal World though.

Hillary worries me with her almost pathological need to prove she's strong and decisive. The degree of pathology appears to compete with Dubya's. Where is the sense of nuance, discretion, or measurement in her approach? Why would she feel it's necessary to use the most bellicose language possible to describe our response if Iran attacks Israel? Why would any American want the blood of innocent civilians in the Middle East on its hands simply to protect Israel? If Israelis long to drench themselves in the blood of children and other innocent peoples, then who can stop them from such infamy? But why does Hilary Clinton think that her willingness to drag Americans into the muck and wake of Israel's politics help her with Christian white male voters? It turns my stomach to think that she would ever lead our country into such sickening murder. And now she seems to gloat in the possibility of doing it.

Unfortunately for you, most Americans don't agree with you.

And should a nuclear strike ever be made upon Israel by Iran, all 3 candidates would retaliate . And will do so with overwhelming majority support of both parties.

it is what it is.

Iran hasn't attacked anyone since 1750. It's not going to happen now, that's a paranoid fantasy and a ludicrous piece of propaganda. It would be suicide for them to do so. Believe it or not, they are not that far gone with fanaticism.

Anyone who believes that tripe should reexamine their reasons for doing so. They will find that the only evidence for the argument is assertions made by war drum beating hawks.

If the U.S. is going to provide Israel with a nuclear shield, then why isn't it in the form of a mutual defense treaty like NATO and SEATO ratified by the Senate?

As far as I know, Clinton is the first president or contender for the office that has stated out loud that the U.S. would retaliate if Israel is attacked in any way, much less with nukes.

I don't want Clinton or any other president committing the nation to nuclear retaliation entirely on their own hook.

Troops Out NOW!
McSame sees an ongoing occupation of Iraq while Obama and Clinton propose troop withdrawals after the election. Why wait that long??

Ronald Reagan began troop withdrawals shortly after the Beruit bombing. If a withdrawal of forces was good enough for the Grand Wizard of the GOP then why can't someone talk little Bush into making another Mission Accomplished announcement and begin pulling our troops out of Iraq today?

I'm personally sick of the "It's politics" excuse. Hillary supports the character assasination of a good man for the sake of winning. She lies for the sake of winning. Bush is good at politics, and look at the tragedy this "winning is everything" approach has cursed us with. Obama is the best candidate for the job and for unifying the country, and Hillary does everything to distort that reality under the dark cloak of "it's politics.".

Hillary in her MSM "interviews" the night before the PA vote played it nice and sweet like she would melt butter and was given free ad time at length to explain and campaign. Why? I believe that the future should make it that candidates cannot go on MSM the day before the votes. SHe has done this every contest and still people give her a pass and an interview. Just getting her on cable to play act nice is MSM openly supporting her and it is a disappointment to me that she is allowed this. Like SNL I have no doubt people watching her on MSM last night thought they saw a human who isn't what she has been for months in her nastyness. Not fair and she will get votes out of it. People have said there is clinton fatigue and she is getting too nasty then she is pandered to like she is the front runner on MSM. Keith O did it. Larry King her good old friend did it and gave her a pass on all of the lies and nasty and manipulations. DID anyone else? Do not know as I won't watch Fox and with her now right wing support from those very people who she claimed were out for her and Bill 10 plus years back can we doubt the MSM owners/bosses are happy for the interviews and the votes today.
