Clinton On Larry King

Speaking with CNN's Larry King Monday night, Hillary Clinton said "without a doubt" she would campaign vigorously for Barack Obama in the Fall should she lose the nomination fight.

Watch the video:

But Clinton hedged when King asked whether Obama was better prepared than John McCain to be President. At first she answered that she thinks Obama "can" win, but that she "will" win. When King pressed her on her answer Clinton responded, "that's going to be up to the voters to sort through."

Watch the exchange with King:

Clinton also downplayed the "double digit" talk that has surrounded her chances of winning in Pennsylvania on Tuesday, saying "a win is a win" and promising to stay in the race.

I hope she stays away from Obama - she is dangerous - she's a scary woman - she's a scorn woman - I hope she goes back to New York and stay there - I'm sure Micheele does not want Hillary anywhere near her husband - and never let Bill Clinton near any woman -

snore... you're ignorance is showing.

Are you for real?
Maybe a lot of black women find him sexy, but white women don't.
Hillary has so much more class in her little pinky than Michele will in her lifetime.
At least she got rid of that stupid flip.
Now, with that being said, understand that this is politics and not the laundry ladies sitting around smoking and drinking coffee all day in their slippers.

Please PA do the right thing. Hillary is a snake and dangerous to the DEM party. If she cannot win then the party should be shattered. I am digusted by her antics.

That would look really fake after the last several months of jugular-slashing politics she's put us through.

PA, give Hilary a break, by voting for BO, she needs to address her campaign debts and she cant fire Mark Penn, she owes him over 10m. If he goes, she will owe money to a foreign company that might make her liable. NY is next door from PA she can go home and take a rest.... and it has been a Heck of a job!

I believe Hillary should not campaign for Obama. Hillary is damaged goods. Her endorsement would come off as totally phony because it would be. Totally. Phony. When Obama finally pulls away she should lay low and be quiet until December. For the good of the nation.

riiiiiiight. and ignore the half of the democratic party that voted for her? that's a clear way to lose in november, dumbass. if obama does get the nomination, he'll NEED hillary to campaign for him all over the country, otherwise a good portion of hillary supports will vote for mccain.

your ignorance is astounding. obama can not win in nov without hillary supporters, the math is not there.

When she finally does leave, she should make a simple statement saying that voters should support the Democratic POTUS ticket. She should thank her supporters, urging them to continue to work for change. And then disappear. If she is such a turn off to me, a life long democrat, I can only imagine how ballistic she makes people who never supported the Clintons.

And Obama she politely refuse "help" from the senior parts of her campaign and her mouth pieces like Carville. I want to be distanced from these personally interested, beholden to the Clintons, people as soon as possible.

i think the PA primary is going to be largely anti-climactic. i think it will be a hillary win by about 8-10 points. they'll both give victory speeches, and the math will be basically unchanged.

hillary is losing real estate, though.

Show me a lik to this Peter Paul story.

Because everything I've read shows the case was thrown out in 2006.

She has to pretend to be optimistic or the rubes won't keep sending her money to pay herself back her 5 million and pay her huge campaign debts.

The best thing Obama must do is to distance himself from the Clintons. He doesn't need them. Neither one of them can be trusted. Obama must also minimize to the nth degree their role at the Demo convention. John Kerry started out doing this at the 2004 convention recognizing what a snake in the grass Hillary was but he missed the boat (swift or otherwise) and let her have some prominence. She of course according to her selfish plans did nothing to help him win in 2004. Obama-- keep these two sharks away from you!!!!

I'm not sure how much you can trust her to campaign for you. She might be good as an attack dog. But she might deliverately sabotage the effort out of spite.

I don't think Obama should allow Hillary to campaign for him but I also think there is no danger, as she is already BITTER BITTER BITTER and will be even more BITTER when this nightmare of a primary season is over. Bitter Hillary needs to go home and see if she can get her soul back. Now.

I think you're naive if you think he doesn't need the Clintons endorsement in a general election.

He will never win against McCain without centrist voters from both parties.

Well if he does not win so be it - just stay away from that Hillary - I'd rather see McCain win rather than see that woman anywhere near Obama - she is a snake in the grass - if the america people would rather have McCain - that's fine - they would deserve him and all the suffering he will bring to them -

And let me add to what NoChickenHawk said: As Obama distances himself from the Clintons, which he should do, I recommend he embrace the new wings of the Democratic Party that are behind him. It appears both Republicans and the Republican Wing of the Democratic party (the Clintons) don't like the new wings. A political party cannot survive without new and energetic wings. Look at the shape we're in, for God's sake. The Repubs are down to bone chewing on their meatless wing. But if Dems don't cut to the chase, we'll have a Meatless Wing in the White House.

Hillary, you would campaign for someone who hasn't met the Commander-in-Chief Threshold and makes whoop-de-doo speeches?

I think you should ask Obama if he would even allow you to campaign for him.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 10:41 PM on 04/21/2008

indeed! you should ask Obama if he wants to lose in novemeber by alienating 1/2 of his party! great idea!!!

I made sure that I didn't watch Larry King. She was smart she waited to the last day to go on all of the talk shows. she is just what I hope can change politics as usual. She is not different than what we have seen in the last 8 years. I love Obama and will vote for him but maybe we haven't suffered enough to vote our real interest yet. It is so hard to watch her. I noticed that Chris Mathews changed his tune today since she would not come on his show. I will be glad when this is over. I really did not want to really dislike her but I feel that it might be to late. I think that the media is really our problem. It would be so nice just to have a station that just played the speech as it was and left the opinion of the crazy people get out of the mix.

I agree. The media is poisoning our democracy and gaming the elections. They always try to spin one side or the other in the last few days before a vote. Shamelessly and blatantly so.

Instead of being a gracious loser she is committing suicide and taking the nation and her party down with her.

Hillary is no Democrat. She does not deserve to call herself a Democrat. I cannot vote for McCain but I will puke if I have to vote for Hillary just to prevent an even greater evil.

Clinton vs. McCain. Now there is a terrible choice - a lesser of two weevils kind of choice. What a terrible end that would be, after the Democrats produced so many good candidates, most of whom dropped out early.
