Chris Matthews: The Media Created "Delusion" That Hillary Can Win (VIDEO)

Chris Matthew started off the Pennsylvania primary coverage with a bang tonight. Shortly after 6, seated by co-anchor Keith Olbermann, Matthews called the primary, and thus his coverage tonight, basically moot. "This contest is essentially over," he proclaims to Keith. "Barack Obama is going to win the most elected delegates."

He went on to say of the media, "Trying to keep this game going, we've created the delusion that somehow this race is still open."

HUGE difference in the coverage last night.....

In ONE MOMENT...I turned on CNN when the results were about 50% in and her lead was at 6%......their expert concluded she would, indeed, hit double digits as she had "clobbered" him in the Philly suburbs....

Turn on MSBNC the next minute....­Olbermouth is asking "will this 6 point lead hold?", and their "expert" concluded that it will not get larger because obama "did so well in the philly suburbs"

Conclusion: MSNBC LIES FOR OBAMA AT EVERY TURN.

The race is still open because of FL and MI. At least in the case of FL, it it very unfair to strip their right to vote. Howard Dean was very stupid in handling this at the very beginning b/c he never foresaw a tight race going into June.

The PEOPLE of Florida and Michigan are being disenfranchised by their legislatures and by the DNC. The PEOPLE of those two states did not make the decisions which took away their right to representation, their legislatures and the DNC did. I don't care who the ultimate winner would be, but let the votes of the PEOPLE count. The Constitution makes no provisions for political parties . . . . as it should be. It's supposed to be about we, THE PEOPLE, not THEY, the POLITICAL CORPORATIONS.

Let their votes count, no matter who they are for or not for.

Eh, FL and MI broke the rules. Hillary agreed, along with Obama, that those two states would not count, and then went back on it when it turned out she was losing. She turned right around and campaigned in both states -- Obama did not, because he actually held up his end of the deal -- and so it's not fair to count those states or those votes because it's not representative of a fair race between the two.

Don't get me wrong; it is not Clinton's or Obama's fault that these states weren't counted, nor is it the voters'. But it's the way it is. The people in MI and FL can complain to their higher-up Democrats for the blunder. Either way, those delegates will be seated in June.

Wow...80% of Hillary voters think she is still viable for winning the nomination. And they talk about Obama supporters as Kool-aid drinkers..­....amazin­g. Like she wasn't expected to win in PA? Very similiar to Ohio, and we see the same margins. What will it take for the Clintonistas to understand this is about delegates, and there is no way for her to win. I haven't done the math post-PA, but I'm thinking it has to be that Clinton needs to win 67-69 percent of all remaining delegates (pledged and super). She couldn't even do that in PA where she was favored the most.

Chuck Todd did the math this morning. She has to win 80% of remaining delegates. The final out of PA will not be double digits. As of this morning she is only leading by 8% with 99% percent counted. Some are already calling the final tally at only 6%. The press will pick up on this. The Billary machine will try to spin this as long as possible. They are in 10 million in debt and need to do whatever they can to keep legally fund raising. As long as she is in the race she can still squeeze those donors.

Oddly, the odds just went up after Pa. Instead of 60 some percent of delegates needed to win, she now needs to win 71% of all delegates in all the remaining primaries in order to win.

I used to watch Hardball and Countdown every night. I especially had a great deal of respect for Olbermann - no more. I can't even watch these two. I feel bad for Tom Brokaw who has to sit with these hacks during election night. You can tell he is uncomfortable.
