Connor Cruise Gets Movie Role

Connor Cruise, son of Tom Cruise and ex-wife Nicole Kidman, is going to make his bigscreen debut in a Will Smith movie called "Seven Pounds," People reports:

Connor, 13 - who has grown up around movie sets with mom Nicole Kidman and dad Tom Cruise - will play a young version of Smith in a very minor role. Even with such famous acting mentors in his corner, Connor had to audition for the part.

"Tom is so proud of Connor," says a source. "He's proud of him for really doing this on his own."

The Columbia Pictures film, which is still in production, also costars Woody Harrelson and Rosario Dawson.

Tom Cruise and Will Smith have become increasingly close friends over recent years. Tom jetted to New York for the "I Am Legend" premiere and supported his friend when he got a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame. The Smiths and Cruises (with wives Katie Holmes and Jada Pinkett-Smith) co-threw a party in honor of the Beckhams move to Los Angeles. Smith has also defended Cruise and Scientology and both home school their kids.

The sceintolog­y people are salivating at the thought that Cruise might turn Smith. Having Smith as a scamology dupe would be a huge prize for them.

AND is anyone surprised that Connor got the role? Seriously is anyone? Sure he had to "audition" just to make sure he wouldn't get stage fright. BUT then again, what is Hollywood anyway? OR as has long been said, "Behind the tinsel you will see the REAL tinsel".

This kid looks just like I did at that age. OMG. Thinking about it, if I didn't have a wise black mother to guide me, like this kid seems to not have...aww s#!+
