Publisher's Weekly reports that teen queen Miley Cyrus has signed a mega-deal to write about her life, due out next year:

For tween girls, there's no bigger name these days than Hannah Montana. The Disney Channel show starring Miley Cyrus, Montana's real-life counterpart and daughter of singer Billy Ray Cyrus, reaches more than 164 million viewers worldwide, and her 2007 concert tour sold out each of its 70 dates. Now, Disney Book Group has signed a deal with Cyrus for world rights to her first book, to be published in spring 2009 by the house's Disney-Hyperion imprint. The book will cover Cyrus's upbringing in Tennessee, close relationship with her family and rise to fame, and will include family photos and stories as well.

Nearly 15 million Hannah Montana-related books have sold globally to date. Jonathan Yaged, v-p and North America publisher of Disney Book Group, negotiated the deal.

Cyrus' hit tv show "Hannah Montana" airs on the Disney Channel. The initial printing will be one million copies. Last week OK! magazine reported there was search on for a ghostwriter for the tome.

What could she possible talk about for more than 10 pages? "My dad had a really crappy, obnoxious song and I parlayed that into a career as every young girl's idol"? Done. Save the paper, Disney.

Thank goodness for this book.
Finally we will get a lesson in how to be successful and rich by the age of 15.
Sure it helps if Dad is already a TV and music star but I'm sure there will be very real life lessons in this tome that we can all apply to our sad, non-famous lives.

Please tell me you are being sarcastic right? I have socks that are older than her, and there are plenty of people who have been in the world longer than her, who have experienced more hardships than her and she gets to pen a book where she can bestow upon us the many wisdoms she has gained during a 2 year career and 15 years walking this earth? You know the end of days is nigh, when such tomfoolery is given the go ahead. Who needs the four horsemen of the apocalypse when Disney is giving us a book about the life of a 15 year old....

A teenager with a two-year career "writing" her "memoirs" -- funny if it weren't so sad. I'd love to know who her ghostwriter is. What will she do next -- endorse a presidential candidate? Except she can't vote yet.

Memoir? Don't you have to get addicted to heroin, watch your fortune waste away, be a comeback musician or be a failed President to have have a ghost writer pen your memoir?

F-U Disney!
