One can expect a fulsome dollop of campaign spin to begin to ooze from both campaigns tonight once the votes start coming in, but at least one of tonight's major players has recused himself from the expectations game. Via Time Magazine, Senator Barack Obama, in an interview he gave to XM Satellite Radio, said, "Let me cut to the chase. A win is 50 plus 1. So if Senator Clinton gets over 50% she's won the state and I don't try and pretend that I enjoy getting only 45% and that's a moral victory. You've lost the state."

Obama will move on tonight to Indiana, the next race on the primary calendar, where he will appear at a rally in Evansville with singer John Mellencamp.

Barack Obama, still anxious to connect with the working class, enlisted the help of Indiana's Elvis. John Mellencamp, sounding as though he has been smoking and drinking scotch for 25 years, played a wheezy, craggy concert in support of the Illinois Senator Tuesday night. So if Obama cannot receive the endorsement from Edwards, perhaps, to the working class, John Mellencamp is the next best thing. He was, reportedly, born in a small town.

But now Mellencamp has been scheduled to play a rally in support of Hilary Clinton. The walls come crumbling down. How can a celebrity endorser play for two rival candidates? That's like Chuck Norris jumping the Huckabee ship and putting his muscle and skill behind Mitt Romney. Thank God it never came to that. Or rather, Thank Chuck.

The battle for Mellencamp rages on. What is the significance of this? Should they share a ticket? Does he want this race to blow up like paper in fire?

It is clear to me which side Mellencamp is on. His own. Mellencamp is on Mellencamp's side. Oh, yeah. Life goes on.

Check it out. This is war. This is gonna go off like a Cherry Bomb. Don't stand for it, America.

Vote No On Mellencamp.
