Obama Not Playing Expectations Game In PA (Even If His Campaign Is)
One can expect a fulsome dollop of campaign spin to begin to ooze from both campaigns tonight once the votes start coming in, but at least one of tonight's major players has recused himself from the expectations game. Via Time Magazine, Senator Barack Obama, in an interview he gave to XM Satellite Radio, said, "Let me cut to the chase. A win is 50 plus 1. So if Senator Clinton gets over 50% she's won the state and I don't try and pretend that I enjoy getting only 45% and that's a moral victory. You've lost the state."
Obama will move on tonight to Indiana, the next race on the primary calendar, where he will appear at a rally in Evansville with singer John Mellencamp.
