Clinton Camp Won't Rule Out Another Bin Laden Ad

A New York Times article on Sen. Hillary Clinton's strategy heading into Indiana notes:

A senior Clinton aide said that she would tailor her message in Indiana to appeal to lower-income workers in the cities and to voters in rural areas and small towns.

The aide said Mrs. Clinton would continue to raise questions about Mr. Obama's readiness to face the many economic and national security challenges facing the country. He did not rule out running some version of an advertisement that the campaign ran in the final days of the Pennsylvania race showing images of the Great Depression, Pearl Harbor and Osama bin Laden and questioning Mr. Obama's fitness to lead in perilous times.

This is truly frightening. She wants to go to war--again. Is this how we elect our politicians? The one who can make us proudest of our ability to maim and kill and OMG even torture soccer moms, their offspring and their working class husbands, are the candidates that are most deserving of our vote. With all her much vaunted "experience" in foreign policy and swipes at Obama for what she has termed "naive" and "irresponsible" comments about bin Laden and Pakistan, Clinton has yet again demonstrated that NOTHING is more important than winning the nomination, including America's reputation abroad. What she has apparently not noticed in that THE WHOLE WORLD IS WATCHING EVRY DETAIL of this primary season. All over the world, people sit up or get up at all hours to get the latest primary returns. They are watching what is happening here at least as carefully as we are, and reaching the same conclusions about her character and her campaign. If she isn't careful, she may find (in the highly unlikely event that she becomes president) that all the foreign leaders with whom she famously had tea as First Lady are less than delighted with a return visit from her.

Not much to add, but how come no Huff Post link to Garin's (HRC's new 'strategist') WHINING in the WaPo today that Hillary has been the victim of Obama's negative campaign and not the other way around.

I haven't seen much in Obama's t.v. ads or speeches about OBL -- except the need to fight/catch him rather than entering into or continuing a useless war of choice in Iraq -- but certainly nothing that uses him as a boogeyman.

I haven't seen anything in my local papers yet.
Yes, I have seen international response, and it has been markedly "reserved".
I guess there is a difference between obliteration and wiping off the map.
Like you could still mark the map as the Obliterated Former Islamic Republic of Iran kind of thing.
But, if you do nothing but wipe Iran off the map, well then, what have you really accomplished?
