Laura and Jenna Bush continued their media rounds to promote their new book Wednesday night with a stop on CNN's Larry King. Larry managed to eek out some political conversation from the ladies. Laura told Larry she doesn't like it when Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton speak badly about her husband. And Jenna Bush dropped a bombshell by saying she doesn't know if she'll vote for a Republican. Watch the videos of Laura and Jenna Bush and then read the excerpted transcripts below.

Laura Bush on the "pounding" her husband is getting from the Democrats:

Jenna Bush
on the possibility that she might not vote for a Republican:

Laura Bush transcript:

KING: Laura, has it been difficult putting up with all the flack that your husband has taken? And, you know, low polls, is it tough for you emotionally?

L. BUSH: Well, in some ways, of course, because I want George to be popular. But on the other hand, I know that he does what he thinks is right for our country and that he doesn't think he should try to be popular, that that's the easy way out.

But I also know -- and I've been watching the campaign, just like everybody else has, and it's been great theater -- that he takes a huge pounding from the other candidates, not all of them, not my candidate, John McCain, but I think that is -- that's demoralizing to me. I don't like that.

And for people who are running for this very office, I think it's sort of a good thing for them to think about --

KING: You don't like the way the Clinton-Obama campaign has been run, you mean?

Jenna Bush transcript:

KING: Do you have a favorite between the two, the two Democrats?

L. BUSH: My favorite is the Republican.

(LAUGHTER)

KING: Yours, too, I would imagine.

J. BUSH: I don't know.

KING: A-ha. J. BUSH: But, I mean, you know --

KING: Are you open to --

J. BUSH: Yes, of course. I mean, who isn't open to learning about the candidates? But, I mean, and I'm sure everybody is like that. But I really -- I honestly have been too busy with books to really pay that much attention.

L. BUSH: No, no, the way they talk about the president.

KING: Oh.

L. BUSH: For somebody who wants to be the president, I think maybe it's a good idea not to talk about the president that way. But anyway, that's my advice to them.

Even Reagan though he was an idiot way back then. Read below from his diaries.

"A moment I've been dreading. George brought his n'er-do-well son around this morning and asked me to find the kid a job. Not the political one who lives in Florida; the one who hangs around here all the time looking shiftless. This so-called kid is already almost 40 and has never had a real job. Maybe I'll call Kinsley over at The New Republic and see if they'll hire him as a contributing editor or something. That looks like easy work."

from the REAGAN DIARIES------entry dated May 17, 1986

Is that a real quote? Why didn't anyone ever bring that up in the last two elections? Democrats have all this so called compassion for the little guy, but can't even call a retard, a retard!

No one ever brought it up because because it isn't true.

'Tis a hoax. I think it first appeared on The Onion website or something.

How about Laura, though? Stepford Wife Deluxe. That smile looks like The Joker's in the Tim Burton Batman movie.

Poor little Georgie taking such a "pounding. The Midle East is in flames, our economy is tanking, and a generation of service members who can not readjust to society will end up on our streets as homeless and all Laura can think of is "Poor Georgie." What a shame!

Laura Bush is a vacant drone. Whatever.

As for Jenna, I actually have compassion for the kid. I don't find anything particularly likable about her, but I do feel compassion for a young woman raised by such a despicable father figure like Bush. As privileged and insulated as she might be, she will inherit the world he has created, and no amount of money will spare her ALL of the repercussions (many, yes, due to her wealth, but not all) of a psyche scarred by enduring a sociopath father. As we all will, she too will live with the horror of his legacy.

Jenna will vote for Nader. Not too much thought needed for that choice.

military draft they have planned for McCain's second year.

Jenna doesn't know who she's going to vote for at all, because in the past they always told her who was going to win anyway.

Too bad they didn't show just 10 more seconds of the second video when Jenna says she's too busy with books and her life to know whats going on and then realizes by her look what a careless statement she made.

What pounding? The media and the congress have given this creep a blank check for 8 years.

She needs to wake up and smell the coffee-the man she married is a sociopath and deserves to be imprisoned for the remainder of his sordid, shallow life.

In an alternate universe somewhere out there, the 30+ coalition countries continued to do nothing about Iraq for an additional 6 years tacked on to the pre-existing 11 years of pussyfooting, Saddam successfully bribed Germany, France and Russian to lift sanctions, Iraq acquired then gave terrorists a weaponized small pox virus, terrorists then infect 2 million people, and the Huffington post of this alternate universe is full of Truthers claiming Bush "knew" about the danger and did nothing just to create chaos in the alternate USA a reap the financial reward of bio-med companies creating vaccines.
Sounds pretty ridiculous, doesn't it?

Wow, are you just a simple apologist for this regime? It's obvious that you are only able to type knee-jerk reactions to other posts. If you so disagree with the posts here, why don't you stick to your own kind? By 'your own kind', I mean IDIOTS.

It's a shame that Jenna Bush is being held captive by the Conservative Party. People tie their own hands by pledging allegiance to a group, regardless of ethical or moral conviction. It's akin to selling their own soul. Jenna should feel free to express her political feelings without being suppressed or oppressed. I think the structure of political parties may be outdated or archaic. I think it could also be argued that political party structure can exclude many citizens from advancement or privilege. FREE JENNA!

Poor George and Laura. He endures, somehow, the frightful pounding of the liberal moon-bat radical left, which now includes about 70% of his fellow Americans and maybe half of this world. I bet Cindy Sheehan and countless thousands of Americans would give everything and more to trade the burden, sorrow and loss they feel today and will every day for the rest of their lives. Sympathy for the devil anyone?
