I Like ItI Don’t Like It
Eliot Spitzer

New details of Eliot Spitzer's bedroom habits have emerged. The New York governor resigned March 12 after it emerged he paid for time with an Emperors Club VIP girl named Ashley Dupre. The NY Post has a cover story today about a second prostitute familiar with Spitzer telling all to federal investigators about the ex-governor, including his kinky bedroom habits:

It's unclear whether the second woman was associated with Emperors Club VIP - the brothel that dispatched Dupre to entertain Spitzer in Washington, DC...

The second hooker-informant also told investigators Spitzer was fond of using sex toys to enhance his own pleasure, the sources said.

"The full portrait of Mr. Spitzer's sexual interests has yet to be told," one source said.

Spitzer's spokeswoman, Anna Cordasco, had no immediate comment.

The feds found the second hooker in the course of reviewing records, following the money and checking out the mountain of tips in the case.

She expanded on the portrait of Spitzer's sexual fetishes in graphic detail, the sources said, also divulging that he had a penchant for props.

Sources said the second hooker also noted that Spitzer liked to keep his socks on during sex - a claim previously made by Republican political operative Roger Stone.

The scandal broke March 10 after Eliot Spitzer was identified as Client 9, who had paid to have Dupre dispatched to Washington DC. Irregular bank transfers triggered the investigation.

Sounds like this all could have been avoided if Spitzer had gotten some of these:

This is an excellent opportunity to remember the point in the previous post by Chris Kelly wherein he asks; "why was Spitzer paying for sex?" and the answere was "because there was no corrupt lobbyist willing to buy it for him". In condemning this effective fighter of corporate crime over these irrelevant and for the most part inconsequential crimes we are almost literally shooting ourselves in the foot. The fact that he was so successful is indicated by the degree of schadenfreud being expressed by those who have felt the effectiveness of his office.
Why do men, like Elliot Spitzer want extra-marital sex? Why do women think that only one sex partner is enough? Good questions the answer to which have remained elusive throughout human, and dare I say it, primate history. It's how we're wired, at least many of us. And what is a single man or woman to do for sex? Just do "without"? What a recipe for a screwed up society and one that the traditional churches and their insane notions of sexual conduct perpetuate by their continued meddling in our nation's legal system. Put religion back in the caves where it came from and let sexual understanding open up.

All this sniggering! I don't see anything funny about society's 'ducking-stool' approach to Spitzer's "moral downfall."

The problem here is that prostitution is not a victimless crime. Too many connections to the underworld. Spitzer understood this intellectually and legally. That is, he knew from a societal legal point of view that prostitution is wrong and, as a prosecutor, he acted against it. However, as an individual with certain sexual needs which he felt, rightly or wrongly, he couldn't satisfy within the confines of his marriage, he turned to prostitutes.

Spitzer is dubbed a hypocrite, but was in the grip of peychological and emotional forces beyond his control. He had to know that his behavior was reckless and yet he persisted in it, risking everything.

Pilgrim is right, the intensity of the schadenfreude, the high glee, tells us that society has shot itself in the foot in this instance. Spitzer's downfall is a an occasion for laughter and mockery by people who envy him his abilities, his wealth and his achievements. His fall from power is a triiumph for a lot of seeming pillars of society who are in fact really very bad guys.

Wait, how did Roger Stone know that Spitzer likes to keep his socks on?

That's the real story.

I still think Senator Vitter ( the shitter) still wins the prize for kink. Diapers, for goodness sake. I know his intellect was infantile, but Vitter proved himself with the diapers.

I think the fact Mr. Client number nine did not want to use a condom says something about the man's judgment . . .

If gambling is legal everywhere, why isn't prostitution. Think of the tax dollars we could raise!

We all knew he would go down. Hell, we loved him. He went after the bad guys. He could have been the next U.S. Attorney General, and there lies the big story. Damn him for being so SIMPLE. Wasn't our admiration enough. Damn to him and double damn to the Bush FBI for noticing his potential and destroying him.
And yes Arriana , enough people come to this site, so you do not have to drop to the Neo con level with this and your attack on Hillary.

AND??? If we knew what everyone did "in the bedroom" we'd all be astonished. It's always the ones that think of themselves or are portrayed as being somehow holier than thou that have the most to hide. When will we all learn that we are not all alike. The diversity of race, religion, bodysize, shape, hair color, eye color, ability to think(or not),teeth configuration, having a spine, etc. sets us apart from one another AND, the makeup of our sexual behavior is no different. BUT, alot of people get mentally screwed up by trying to live by the morals that are considered standard by a bunch of hypocrits.

Perhaps this is a good time to consider making this legal. How we ever got to a point where having a little bit of sex and enjoyment between two consenting adults is illegal is far beyond me.

I agree that this is total nonsense until I got to the part about: "a claim previously made by Republican political operative Roger Stone."

Now how do you suppose he knows that?

What I want to see is a story about how this developed. Where did the original intercepts come from? A legitimate investigation OR warrantless wiretaps?

Or from Wall Street private investigators?

Is anyone naive enough to think Bush and his crew of criminals wouldn't target political opponents in their illegal wiretaps?

Or use information developed by Wall Street mafioso?

Did the Justice Department attorneys scandal include Spitzer?

Possibly not. But i would like to see the evidence before I make up my mind. This is all a little too pat. And too much right out of the Karl Rove playbook.

Roger Stone, if you remember, was caught for leaving a screaming, cursing voicemail on Bernie Spitzer's phone. Do a little research on Stone - he's one of the most powerful people in the country, and he's got sources.

Ridiculous!

Why can't we get back to something more important like the story of Julia not using deodorant?

Arianna, Huffington Post is one of my favorite blogs, but this sort of thing is really beneath the intelligent woman you are supposed to be.
