Hillary Clinton

Boston Globe:

AMERICANS have learned to take with a grain of salt much of the rhetoric in a campaign like the current Democratic donnybrook between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. Still, there are some red lines that should never be crossed. Clinton did so Tuesday morning, the day of the Pennsylvania primary, when she told ABC's "Good Morning America" that, if she were president, she would "totally obliterate" Iran if Iran attacked Israel.

The question we need to ask is WHY HASN'T THE AMERICAN MEDIA COVERED HILLARY CLINTON'S COMMENT ABOUT OBLITERATING IRAN, WITH THE SAME FERVOR IT HAS COVERED THE REV. WRIGHT STORY OR OTHER ANTI-OBAMA STORIES?

One can hardly wonder why this bias in the media exists for Clinton and McCain , but not for Obama. What other reason could there be for the media in the United States to remain basically mute on a statement by Hillary Clinton, that speaks clearly to her lack of concern for the safety of the people of the United States.

Hillary couldn't have made it more clear for whom she is willing to nuke a region in the world and by making the comment made it clear she has no regard for the safety of her own people here in the country or in that region fighting a "war."

Keith Olbermann has been on this story. Nobody else. as per usual. countdown is the only source for real news on television.
so Israel fears an attack by Iran. This is akin to the Pentagon claiming it lives in fear of an attack by Lichtenstein. the analogy is not an exaggeration

... I'm guessing that her "Precious-Bodily-Fluids" fuel gauge is reading empty... hence the foul running engine. It's tough to fire on all cylinders when fumes is your only asset.

will she go so far as to abandon her "pullout strategy" re Iraq? If she's trying to consolidate the middle/right can that be next?

Hillary has more personalities than Sybil. She plays to her audience. She blasted NAFTA in PA to the blue collar vote, but downplayed it in TX for the Hispanic votes. Her right wing rhetoric panders to the more conservative crowd, but she unequivocally declares to the more liberal wing that she will bring the troops home from Iraq immediately. Critics say we don't know Obama or what he stands for. I say we don't know Hillary or what she stands for, because she says nothing except what is politically expedient on any given day.

Hillary not only thinks that left-leaning voters are idiots, she also thinks that voters on the right don't see through her ridiculous chest-thumping.

Such a transparent attempt to appeal to hawks will fall on deaf ears, just like the latest debate schtick.

What is that Hillary?.........Like....Strike ten???

The media has been somewhat concerned about McCain's physical health and medical records, and of late Bill Clinton's gaffes that could be due to some sort of physical malaise, should we be also concerned about Hilary Clinton's mental state, that she may or may not be slightly deranged? After all, she does lie and embellish without any kind of remorse or regret, and one minute she is all loving and proud of her opponent then she lashes out, mocks, and throws a tantrum the next, breaks down and cry and claims that she has finally found her voice, and now she is threatening to obliterate an entire nation of 70 million people. At least, from where I stand this is someone who is deeply conflicted and troubled, someone who is unable or unwilling to face facts, that she is losing, and reality, that she along with others in the congress are directly responsible for the deaths of thousands and the displacement of millions.

She actually looks deranged on the campaign trail with the eerie fake smile always on her face and the clapping and pointing. The Globe may have figured out the perfect comparison, Hillary Strangelove, Perfect!!!!!

My pet theory is some metabolic disorder, hyper or hypo thyroidism, that later of which can make the voice strained, harsh and shrill. Both of which force you to run on cortisol/cortisone.

In a previous post I commented that Hillary reminded me of the crazed General Ripper from Dr. Strangelove, hellbent on launching a nuclear attack. It's not surprising that the MSM mostly ignored her "obilterate Iran" comments, focusing attention to Ayers, Rev. Wright, bitter comments, and flag pins. She is a neocon in sheep's clothing...........

Who are these Catholics and Blue White collar workers who keep inflicting these mindless war mongers, on America and the world. They need to understand that they are complicit in the carnage that is now Iraq as well as the slow destruction of this country. The blood of American Soldiers, Innocent Iraqis
including women and children are equally on their hands for voting these simple minded and belligerent people into office. AND THEY CLAIM TO LOVE THIS COUNTRY? If this is love, show me what hate is. The tragedy of it all is that they are bent on doing it again - They will rather vote for McCain as Rove suggested than for Obama, just because the latter is half Black. Sheesh!!!!!! Wake up people THIS IS NOT ANTIQUITY. IT IS THE YEAR 2007. The world is much smaller than you think. THINK GLOBALIZATION.

Uh, the most stable form of world government
is small independent republics. Republics are
even more stable and prosperous if they have
parliamentary systems and limited monarchies.
That's the conclusion of recent studies.

We see that her new love affair with the far right and her neocon philosophy has completely taken hold of her and she is now as big a fool as any republican. The democrats must choose between their humane values or taking Clinton's neocon madness and merging their party with the republicans.

Lets see Iran has a population of over 70 million so if she wipes them out sne would have committed a genocide that dwarfs anything Hitler did.Wow what have we become as a nation that would even think about committing such a crime against humanity.

That little beauty by Hillary raised the eyebrows of even those whose eyebrows were already raised - yep, raise the brow and lower the bar, that's the ticket.

LOL... that statement raised the eyebrows of botox injected staunch supporters as well! We're missing the chance to run an ad of Hillary in a splice cut with Cheney, to show what change would like with Hillary in office! 3 am access to a whitehouse phone? I think not!

1. The comment was NOT IF "Iran used nuclear weapons" - It was if Iran attacked Israel.

What's troubling is that there is no way in hell that Iran is just going to attack Israel. Israel has numerous nuclear weapons, Iran is years away, and any direct attack on Israel would be met by Israel's nuclear weapons. It's called deterrence. If HRC is the policy wonk that she claims to be then she would realize this.

If Iran wishes to attack Israel, they would do, what they consistently have already done, and that is use proxies such as Hezbollah, or provide support to terrorist groups. While concerning, this hardly justifies obliterating an entire country.

And yet she has the chutzpah to criticize Barack for saying 1.he has no problems with direct contact with Iran - something that would decrease the likelihood of war; and 2. criticizes Barack for saying that he would strike parts of Pakistan if the Pakistanis were unable to take out known terrorist that threaten the United States - Something the CIA actually has done this year.

And she's the person to answer the phone at 3am, even though she couldn't remember the details of her landing in tuzla on about 5 occasions because she was tired.

Come on HRC fans. Spin this one. Sexism, Barack's all style no substance, She didn't really mean what she said, just political posturing. Deep down she wouldn't be so rash. Hmmmm, no. Face it, she really would be an awful

As a non-American, I am always fascinated by the irony of the fact that Iran has signed the nuclear non-proliferation treaty.
America and Israel are two of the few countries in the world who have NOT signed the NNPT. This means that Iran is within its rights to pursue nuclear energy. Not nuclear weapons, but nuclear energy.

Why do you think the rest of the world wont sanction Iran? They are within their rights. And until the US and Israel can prove otherwise, they are bluster and false intel. Just like with Iraq.

America, please dont make the same mistake twice.

I don't think there's much danger of Hillary
running the country if Bill gets near the
White House.

America thinks it is so moral, I can't even
fathom why we would let those people near
the Oval Office.

I had to relate to Laura Bush when she had
the Oval Orifice scrubbed down and replaced
all the carpets.

Boston Globe points out that the story did not have as much hoopla in the US as it does around the world...

Because here in the US we already know that

HILLARY IS A LIAR AND EMBELLISHER and

HER CLAIMS ARE BEST IGNORED.

that's the problem with the MSM, they have become the lap dogs of the Clintons. This was a BIG DEAL and should have received more scrutiny and attention. Instead, they would prefer to revisit Wright. Which turned out to be a blessing in disguise, because Moyers Journal provided a wonderful insight into a good man that the media has intentionally maligned for political purposes. They are disgusting tabloid sensationalists that no longer cover the real concerns and issues.

The press has eluded to the pressure that the Clintons put on them for positive press coverage. They whined and cried on camera about how unfair it was that Obama had this love fest, and not one reported labeled it was it was... plain old jealousy! the Clinton's have consistently told the press that they had information on Obama that would prove he was unelectable, and suddenly we end up with the Rev Wright clips being played in endless loops! No one can convince me that the Clinton's were not directly responsible for this campaign tactic! Just look at the double speak from Bill on the issue of race! It's disgusting! And now Hillary is threatening to obliterate Iran? It's starting to look like it's time put MoveOn.Org into motion to do some of this skud work!
