How The Presidential Candidates Will Look In 4 Years: See Photos

The gurus at PopPhoto have digitally altered photos of John McCain, Barack Obama, and Hillary Clinton to show how they might look after four years of holding the most stressful job in the country.

Below are photos of each candidate, and an explanation of how PopPhoto achieved the aged look (click here for larger versions of the images):

Aging takes time, even when you make it happen artificially with software. Each candidate took about four hours of retouching. To mimic the ravages of time, we did the following:

- Used the Burn and Dodge tools to deepen wrinkles and paint in age spots.
- Cloned the eyebrows and moved them lower.
- Used the Liquify filter to hollow out cheeks, make jowls, thin out lips, and enlarge ears and noses.
- For Clinton and Obama, brought in forehead wrinkles from separate photos and used the Match Color tool to blend them in.
- For Obama, painted in gray hair on top of his current hair; for Clinton, desaturated with the Sponge tool to make her grayer.

Whom ever did the "projection" was VERY generous with McCain and Hillary - they look now as old they assume to be l in 2012! Minus the botox, at least Hillary's. What the author forgets about Obama is that he is an athlete and he doesn't need a rail when climbing a 3 step staircase. Obama will not look like the projection in 2012 but all the others will be much older.

McCain doesn't look much different than he does now. Let's face it, he's old as dirt. I've noticed that Senator Obama is already turning gray. He will look great in 8 years. Couldn't say the same about Hillary and McCain and I'm a white woman.

I like the photos they showed on MSNBC last week to show how they would look aftert hey served 8 years:

For Hillary.... they showed a photo of "Dog" Chapman (The bounty Hunter guy)
For Obama... they showed a photo of James Brown
and for
McCain... they showed a picture of the Crypt Keeper.

I thought I would fall in the floor laughing at seeing Hillary morph into the "Dog"!!!!!!!!!

The job typically has a different effect on different people.

Look at Bill Clinton from the time he took office vs. the time he got out, vs. Ronald Reagan or George W. Bush. One would assume that Clinton internalized substantially more stress than either Reagan or Bush did...Bush doesn't really look that much older now than he did 4 years ago. Neither did Reagan. Clinton, however, aged REALLY fast.

I suppose the candidate that takes the job most seriously would be the one that would age the quickest. The ones that live in their own little bubble probably don't.

The presidency makes one age rapidly. Clinton is probably the worst one, but Bush has aged badly as well. He looked a lot younger when he was given the office by the Supreme Court in 2000, so he's not immune to it. And Reagan probably did too, he just had good makeup people.

Bush I aged rather badly as well. He looks horrible now.

That is the truth. I have saw photographs of both McCain and many of Hillary where they appeared older already than these alleged 'aged-enhanced' pictures make them appear.
