How The Presidential Candidates Will Look In 4 Years: See Photos

The gurus at PopPhoto have digitally altered photos of John McCain, Barack Obama, and Hillary Clinton to show how they might look after four years of holding the most stressful job in the country.

Below are photos of each candidate, and an explanation of how PopPhoto achieved the aged look (click here for larger versions of the images):

Aging takes time, even when you make it happen artificially with software. Each candidate took about four hours of retouching. To mimic the ravages of time, we did the following:

- Used the Burn and Dodge tools to deepen wrinkles and paint in age spots.
- Cloned the eyebrows and moved them lower.
- Used the Liquify filter to hollow out cheeks, make jowls, thin out lips, and enlarge ears and noses.
- For Clinton and Obama, brought in forehead wrinkles from separate photos and used the Match Color tool to blend them in.
- For Obama, painted in gray hair on top of his current hair; for Clinton, desaturated with the Sponge tool to make her grayer.

They were a more than a little forgiving on McCain to say the lest. He will wear much worse. Obama will look like that after 8, years not 4. Hillary will wear a bit worse than depicted as well.

Obama won't show nearly the amount of aging that is portrayed. This morphing is based on Caucasian aging. He might look like that in 40 years, not 4.

You are so right. This is bullshit! I am always envious of African American's skin - so smooth and no wrinkles untold old old age. I love that expression "black don't crack." Clinton and McCain on the other hand will look older than those pictures suggest.

Obama will look like that after a constituional amendment is passed, and he is allowed to spend 16 years in the white house. Hillary will look much better than she has today, because she will have dumped the Big Dog, and as some have noted, it is highly unlikely that McCain will even make it that long.

First of all, McCain's current photo has probably already been photoshopped. Definitely looks like they have airbrushed out some of the wrinkles around his eyes and mouth.

Secondly, he has already shown signs of decreased mental ability (how much lower he can go is a question considering he finished 5th from the bottom of his class at Annapolis) and problems putting a sentence together.

Third, as has been pointed out down thread, Obama's skin is unlikely to wrinkle and have as many age spots as depicted since his melanin will serve to protect him from too much sun damage.
