Tom Cruise is making a highly-publicized return to Oprah in a two-parter, this Friday and next Monday. He hasn't sat down with the talk show host since his infamous couch jumping almost 3 years ago. Pegged to discuss his 25 years in show business, the pair also dig into weightier topics, like Scientology, his blow up with Matt Lauer over psychiatry drugs and his wife Katie Holmes. The whole thing took place at Cruise's Telluride ranch, and Oprah even rode a snowmobile with the actor. On Monday's show she aired the first promo for the Cruise episode with a few snippets of the interview included.

Watch:

Check back Friday for more.

The media is an Oprah whore! There's not a reliable information dispensing entity in America anymore with the exception of Huffington and a few internet mavericks.

Little Tommy Cruise at five feet five inched tall has had a very weird life with the freaks at Scientology controlling his weak mind and bank account! The leader of his chruch is only five feet two inched tall, so Tommy towers over the lord and master of Scientology! Weird group of folks those Scientologists.

Yawn. The world is so over Tom Cruise. He's a wack-a-doo who has always seemed just a bit *wrong* to me since long before his more recent and overtly bizarre behavior. AND the guy is no great actor -- his talent has always been in an ability to pick tentpole projects that appeal to a wider audience and bring in the box office $$. His acting ability (and I use that term loosely) is limited to essentially playing the exact same character set in different circumstances over and over and over again. He has zero ability to inhabit the skin of a character -- nearly every role is Tom Cruise playing "Tom Cruise". The few times he's strayed from that formula, he's looked like a loon.

The boy ain't right, and I ain't interested. Sorry Oprah.

Magnolia, Born on the Fourth of July, Jerry Macguire, Rain Man, Collateral, A Few Good Men. He has made quite a few very good and entertaining movies, in my opinion.

I think his over-the-top outburst and rude treatment of Matt Lauer about Prozac & Ritalin made a lot of people mad. As it turns out, Cruise, despite the fact that he had the manners of a total asshole in that interview, was right and the latest tests on those drugs (initially hidden by the drug companies) prove they do small good for a limited number of people and at worst are harmful.

I just don't believe that most of the people who proclaim their dislike of this guy actually dislike him. I think 95% of the outrage is copycat.

I won't be watching, but I think TC is a real TOOL to use Oprah that way. He didn't bother to invite her to his wedding, and now that the press in on his tail and going negative against him, he's looking for a little positive press. Oprah should have refused the interview. I don't think Cruise is being an honest broker.

and Oprah's NOT a tool?

A sneak "peak"? What is this, a stealth mountain climb? (Might want to take a closer peek at the headline....)
