Amid the din of the dueling democrats, people seem to have forgotten about that other guy in the presidential race--you know, John McCain. McCain is said to be benefiting from this politically because his rivals are tearing each other apart. In fact, few people are paying much attention to what the Republican nominee is saying, or subjecting it to any serious scrutiny.

On March 26, McCain gave a speech on foreign policy in Los Angeles that was billed as his most comprehensive statement on the subject. It contained within it the most radical idea put forward by a major candidate for the presidency in 25 years. Yet almost no one noticed.

Yet another disappointing article by Zakaria. He hasn't said anything worthwhile for a long time.

Thanks, but no thanks Fareed.
We don't need any more of your idiocy.

Fareed Zakaria is probably one of the best commentators on Foreign Policy in the press today, but I am disappointed by this article. He could have been more firm in outlining the strengths and weaknesses of the candidates and identifying how a strong policy could be established based on those. Hammering McCain is easy, as he is living in the 1980's, but WHAT is the solution to conundrum that faces the United States in re-establishing our role as the world leader on almost all fronts? That would have done a service to the voters in need of such information to select the next President.

The New World Order agenda is not necessarily shared by Russia and China. By excluding them and making them the enemy we have to fight "terrorism" and these other countries. Too many enemies and too large a reach in the world will be the undoing of the Republic. It is a Republic, not an empire. Where does our constitution talk about a New World Order? We need an Amendment to our constitution to make this "manifesto" of New World Order legal before we push it onto the rest of the world.

Globalization is proceeding too fast without international law in place. I am not sure that many people in the US want Fareed's New World Order.
