7-Year-Old Car Thief: "It's Fun To Do Bad Things" (VIDEO)

Seven-year-old Latarian Milton decided to steal his grandma's Dodge Durango because he was "mad at [his]mom" and because it's "fun to do bad things." Along for the ride? His friend who "smokes with cigarettes".

It's not all fun and games for Latarian, though. While his punishment suggestion was "no video games for a whole weekend", according to CNN.com, he is also facing grand theft auto charges. Speaking of which, let's hope he doesn't get his hands on Grand Theft Auto IV, released today.

What this kid needs, in no particular order:

More than one/zero parents who know about discipline (grandma appears to have an idea)

No drivers license until he's 18 (or later if he keeps this up)

No videogames period.

Make him work off the equivalent of the fines in a homeless shelter or food bank.

A spanking. Yes, I said it. What a bunch of nosey passive aggressive know-it-all pussies we've become. Grandma really wants to deliver but with the television and cops there she doesn't dare. Insane.

My wife teaches fifth grade and this is the attitude of a huge percentage of the kids in that age group. The problem is they are shielded from the consequences of their actions by parents who don't care or are such cowards they are afraid of their kids (not that they shouldn't be afraid of some of them. Some are real psychopath­s.) The kid endangered his life, the life of his friend and who knows how many bystanders and his Mom takes away his video games for two whole days! What the heck is she thinking? Oh brave new word that hath such people in it!

I agree that he is a BABY. I have 2 sons and I remember what they were like when they were 7--my sons are also intelligent.
This little boy is very smart. He is smart enough to learn what kind of trouble he can get into by doing "bad things."
I think he should be tested for entry into the gifted and talented program of his school--that's where he will get attention. He can get on the computer and do something besides playing video games.
