Kellyanne Conway, MSNBC Guest, Calls Hillary Clinton "Chief White Woman" In America

This afternoon on MSNBC, Republican strategist Kellyanne Conway and Democratic strategist Keith Boykin were discussing Barack Obama and Jeremiah Wright, when Conway made a startling declaration, calling Hillary Clinton "the chief white woman in this country." Her full statement:

"The person who has criticized them is Hillary Clinton. Hillary Clinton has been criticizing Barack Obama and Jeremiah Wright. and I think that's the real issue, I think that's why Barack Obama had to push back. She is the chief white woman in this country, calling into question Jeremiah Wright's bonafides and she has made that issue on the campaign trail. Republicans aren't saying much about it at all, including John McCain. He had one thing to say about it early on."

Boykin immediately objected and Conway attempted to explain her statement, but a very wise Tamron Hall interrupted them and cut to commercial as fast as she could.

I was watching the interview when she made that comment and I almost fell off my seat when I heard her say that. I was a little mad at Tamron because she didn't let Keith call her out on it instead she rushed to a commercial while exclaiming she knew what Kellyanne meant. So would "chief white woman" be equivalent to the great white hope?

Well thats what it seems like she fighting for the White House like she's entitle to it and that Obama is not. Also she has done more to damage his candidacy than the Republicans. She gave them an outline to fill in. The funniest thing is she voted for the most important issues that did the most damage to America. The Iraq war which is costing Americans 10 Billion a month and her support for for NAFTA tha enabled more than 300,000 people to loose jobs. Now her gas tax cut which is going to enable more than 300,000 construction workers to loose their jobs for depleating our infrastructure Fund. She is clearly just trying to find anyway to stay in the race and that means telling the American people anything just to get their vote. Don't complain if your going to vote for her and support her rehtoric.

What do you mean, "she fighting for the White House like she's entitle to it..."? What do you want her to do - sit on the sidelines raise her hand, wait to be called on and then ask "Pretty please"? If you ask me, she's running as though her nomination isn't guaranteed. Obama's been running like it's a done deal for him, like he has the nomination all wrapped up, not wanting to answer questions, whining about being tired, his supporters demanding Hillary get out of the race, etc. That is acting "entitled", if you ask me.

madkey, you're also wrong about Hillary planning to pay for the gas tax suspension with money designated for infrastructure. She wants to pay for the gas tax suspension from windfall profits of oil companies. Two entirely different sources of money, no?

She also was against NAFTA and in particular, parts of NAFTA. If Obama makes it to the WH, do you think Michelle will publicly voice her disapproval of her husband's policies? Oh that's right - no one could or would ever disagree with Obama about anything @@

While the "chief white woman" remark may be humorous the fact that she was lying is more important. The republicans running ads with the Rev is what kept this alive. The media primarily fox but msnbc and the others played along broadcasting Wright's speech. This thing was a self inflicted wound as much as I am no fan of Hillbilly this is not her fault.

Well well, the media continues its march toward getting HRC elected president. My gosh. Yes, Clinton will not let Obama and Wright go...it is just tooooo juicy and people just love to go this route rather than talk about issues. The word Chief does not just refer to the indians. We have chief petty officers, chief executive officers, chief financial officers and if hillary wins the presidency she will be the commander-in-chief.. At this time, hillary may indeed be considered the chief or most recognizable woman. Whether she retains the title or fades into obscurity will be determined soon, but let us refrain from the lame jokes.
