How is the rest of Hollywood responding to the much-talked about Miley Cyrus Vanity Fair show?

Her father Billy Ray is reportedly very upset, as he left the set before the photo that caused the outcry was taken.

From Academy Award winner Sally Field and former Disney star Hilary Duff to the girls of MTV's The Hills and Rosie O'Donnell, "Extra" has the below reactions from Tinseltown regarding the 15 year-old's pictures. Plus, see what fellow teen-queen Hillary Duff had to say.

Sally Field: "I love Miley Cyrus. My granddaughters are completely and utterly over the moon. I watch Hannah Montana....I think, 'Let it go for God's sake'...It's a beautiful picture."

Hilary Duff: "It's a lot of pressure. I don't know how I would even begin to give her advice because I feel she has a huge career and she'll learn how to deal with it."

Lauren Conrad [The Hills]: "I found it a bit silly. I thought she looked beautiful in the pictures. I didn't find it that inappropriate. I think it's difficult. It s a lot of pressure on her since she is a role model, but I think she's doing a good job."

Heidi Montag [The Hills]: I think she's a young girl in Hollywood and she's just having fun. Exploring herself."

Spencer Pratt [The Hills]: "I didn't think it was that bad. Supposedly, she's wearing a top underneath. It's artistic."

Tila Tequila [VH1's A Shot of Love with Tila Tequila]: "I think it's hot. When I was 15, I was doing the same thing except a bared it all....She's just showing her back. She's growing up. I don't think she's doing anything harmful. If the media keeps pushing her, pressuring her, she might end up messed up. But right now, I think everyone should just let her have fun. She's not doing anything scandalous. I think she's hot!"

Emmy Rossum: "I think she's a role model for kids, but I think she looks beautiful."

Rosie O'Donnell spoke out about the so-called scandal on her blog saying, "I had two photo shoots with her [Annie Leibovitz]. It's intimidating. Annie Leibovitz. I also didn't think it was a pornographic photo in any capacity. I thought it was kind of a beautiful portrait, you know. I like the one of her and her dad too. It's Annie Leibovitz people. Leave Miley alone!"

Hillary Duff told People:

"Everyone goes through things and takes their own path," Duff said Monday a press event for her new movie War Inc. "Who am I to judge decisions that she made?"

Still, Duff says she would not have chosen the same path for herself. "People are pushing you to do something, and if you want to do it, that's your choice, you know?" added the singer-actress. "It's not what I would choose to do, but if she did then that's fine. That's her choice."

Jamie Lee Curtis wrote a blog about Miley Cyrus' Vanity Fair shoot for Huffington Post about it, and she thinks it's unfair that a child was put in that position.

Star editor Bonnie Fuller is also upset, and she's mad with Miley's parents, and voiced her displeasure in her own Huffington Post blog.

The people that are so outraged at the photo of Miley Cyrus who think that it is disgusting, pornographic, and immoral to have a 15 year old pose for a picture that in my opinion was very artsy, taseful, and benign are hypocrites. We have in this country so called beauty pageants for grils that are much younger then Ms. Cyrus. These girls range from ages 5-13 and they actually have to model swim suits which are very revealing, more so the the picture of Ms. Cyrus. These girls have so much makeup on that they do not even look like a real person, they look like a doll. That to me is more upsetting then the photo of Ms. Cyrus . Where are all of the so called moral christian zelots when it comes to these pageants? Below is a link to a picture of a beauty pageant contestant, she must be only 8 years old and she is modeling a swimsuit!!! The Christian right wingers are delusional, idiots, and fools when it comes to social issues. Why is there no outrage when it comes to these pageants? There is a great documentary about this disgusting practice of very young girls (ages 5 and up) made to look like dolls. Here is the IMBD link. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0285298/
The name of the documentary is called "Living Dolls: The making of a child beauty queen.

I'm so glad Rosie has chimed in on this. I'm usually lost without her expert guidance.

And Tila Tequila too. Now there is a role model.

So the whole Billy Ray clan, handlers, PR people, etc. go to this photo shoot, and before the last picture gets shot the whole bunch up and leave, leaving poor Miley alone, by herself with the evil celebrity photographer, who talks her into removing her top and dawning a blanket for a sexy photo!

Something smells funny about this. I think its that load of BS coming from people seeing their meal ticket disappear.

PS Looks like Miley needs a sandwich!

Miley's protective dad never leaves her side, but after doing a photo shoot together - he left?

Hmmmmmm - sorry, I don't buy it!

The young girl will eventually be an old woman, and she will look back at this beautiful portrait and cherish it.

Good ol' squeaky clean Disney. At least Miley is older than this girl (and showing a lot less skin):

The conflict is between our desire to protect the children and our reluctance to admit that we must let the children grow up and enjoy life.

To be even more blunt, the Texas Polygamists leaders and Vanity Fair have both sexualized children to profit their bottom line.

In Texas the sexualization of children is reviled and prosecuted while in Hollywood it's promoted, condoned and glamorized. What's going on?

It's a million times more offensive to me that this 15 year old is out there performing like an organ grinder's monkey 250 nights a year so that thousands of adults (including Disney shareholders) can wring a profit out of her. And that parents feel compelled to spend hundreds of dollars to buy tickets to these live shows.

The picture is a complete non-event (although, I wouldn't call it "art," it's commerce. So what). We don't do a very good job of addressing the transitional period of adolescence in this country. But, 15 is not 8, and the extent to which the image is provocative is completely dependent on the viewer. People should check out Sally Mann's "Immediate Family" photographs if they want to really wrangle with the art v. exploitation issue.

Seriously, if you want to see more vulgar displays of underage female flesh, just drive by any middle school around 3-ish when the bell rings. I think two inches of butt cleavage protruding from a pair of jeans that look painted on is the accepted norm nowadays. What Miley Cyrus did was absolutely harmless.

The big hoo-hah over the Miley Cyrus pictures says reams about us; we'tre a society given over to moral priggishness and the " better her than me" moral relativisim. They're rally great, stylish, artistic pictures. Get over it priggs. Send your kids to a Hanna Montana concert so you have time alone to check-ourt you're latest issue of Playboy and get out the whips and chains while the kids aren't looking.
