How is the rest of Hollywood responding to the much-talked about Miley Cyrus Vanity Fair show?

Her father Billy Ray is reportedly very upset, as he left the set before the photo that caused the outcry was taken.

From Academy Award winner Sally Field and former Disney star Hilary Duff to the girls of MTV's The Hills and Rosie O'Donnell, "Extra" has the below reactions from Tinseltown regarding the 15 year-old's pictures. Plus, see what fellow teen-queen Hillary Duff had to say.

Sally Field: "I love Miley Cyrus. My granddaughters are completely and utterly over the moon. I watch Hannah Montana....I think, 'Let it go for God's sake'...It's a beautiful picture."

Hilary Duff: "It's a lot of pressure. I don't know how I would even begin to give her advice because I feel she has a huge career and she'll learn how to deal with it."

Lauren Conrad [The Hills]: "I found it a bit silly. I thought she looked beautiful in the pictures. I didn't find it that inappropriate. I think it's difficult. It s a lot of pressure on her since she is a role model, but I think she's doing a good job."

Heidi Montag [The Hills]: I think she's a young girl in Hollywood and she's just having fun. Exploring herself."

Spencer Pratt [The Hills]: "I didn't think it was that bad. Supposedly, she's wearing a top underneath. It's artistic."

Tila Tequila [VH1's A Shot of Love with Tila Tequila]: "I think it's hot. When I was 15, I was doing the same thing except a bared it all....She's just showing her back. She's growing up. I don't think she's doing anything harmful. If the media keeps pushing her, pressuring her, she might end up messed up. But right now, I think everyone should just let her have fun. She's not doing anything scandalous. I think she's hot!"

Emmy Rossum: "I think she's a role model for kids, but I think she looks beautiful."

Rosie O'Donnell spoke out about the so-called scandal on her blog saying, "I had two photo shoots with her [Annie Leibovitz]. It's intimidating. Annie Leibovitz. I also didn't think it was a pornographic photo in any capacity. I thought it was kind of a beautiful portrait, you know. I like the one of her and her dad too. It's Annie Leibovitz people. Leave Miley alone!"

Hillary Duff told People:

"Everyone goes through things and takes their own path," Duff said Monday a press event for her new movie War Inc. "Who am I to judge decisions that she made?"

Still, Duff says she would not have chosen the same path for herself. "People are pushing you to do something, and if you want to do it, that's your choice, you know?" added the singer-actress. "It's not what I would choose to do, but if she did then that's fine. That's her choice."

Jamie Lee Curtis wrote a blog about Miley Cyrus' Vanity Fair shoot for Huffington Post about it, and she thinks it's unfair that a child was put in that position.

Star editor Bonnie Fuller is also upset, and she's mad with Miley's parents, and voiced her displeasure in her own Huffington Post blog.

Its amazing to see how many papers (especially the NY Post) who ran a front page photo of the picture and then critisised it as kiddie-porn. How is this picture sexually provocative? Perhaps it is the people who are complaining about this photo who are the ones with twisted minds. They are the ones who see it as a sexual provocative image, so perhaps they are the pedofiles. Would these people say the same thing if this girl wore a backless dress to the oscars?

Larisa Alexandrovna noted that the NASCAR Newscaster Brian Williams spent over two minutes on the nightly news over this topic, but only 80 seconds on the monstous Voter ID ruling on the Supreme Court!

Ask a few real humans what they think. This is another bait-and-switch, giving kids a wholesome entertainer to admire then tarting her up with sexuality and hints of incest. By now it's a conventional progression for young stars. Next come breast implants, an eating disorder, a toxic "best friend," drugs and alcohol, rehab, oblivion, where are they now, and a comeback on the carnival circuit. Meanwhile, 10-year-old girls everywhere are looking in the mirror wondering how to make themselves sexy like Hannah Montana. The horror.

It is very telling of our national conscience that that the Miley Cyrus photos have garnered so much media attention, when hardly a ripple was made over the May 2008 Vanity Fair article, "Monsanto's Harvest of Fear," which has everything to do with the roots of world hunger, not to mention the Bush-Clinton funding and sanctioning of this ruthless, unethical corporation, bent on taking over the world''s food supply. Yet one more installment in this country's insatiable appetite for fluff over substance.

Disgusting!

She's a 15-year old child and should NEVER be posed for any sort of sexually suggestive photograph until she is no longer a child.

No matter how "tasteful" the photo is argued to be, the only reason it was taken was for the worst of reasons. I feel sorry for this girl . . . her father seems like he is only interested in cashing-in as much as possible in the few years he has left before she turns 18.

Well as a Father of 5 BOYS who have to deal with the girls who are going to be copying this girl I OBJECT!!
These girls are getting dangerous for young boys to deal with. They will even resort to social blackmail to get what they want or punish boy if they are turned down.
Girls have already been caught passing notes to my sons asking them "Do you want to have sex"? or "How about a BJ"? .
One girl even turned her CLICK against my son after she was sent home for asking my son for sex.
They spread roumor and lies about him and all he wants is and education!!!!!
He stated it would have been eaiser to just have screwed her than to deal with all the crap from her friends after she was expelled.

So go on think it is art.
]It is the kids who will suffer fron the decisions adults make!!!!!!!!

I'm surprised Disney doesn't have a purity clause in her contract. She brings in to much money for them not to protect themselves against reputational damage that could spell ratings disaster.

it's not her lack of dress that is the problem, it is the vacant look in her eye, the smeared makeup, bad lighting, etc. that is disturbing. it is reminiscent of kiddie porn in that aspect, nothing at all to do with the state of her clothing. it is not at all flattering nor is it a gorgeous photo. it is also not something that reveals something about miley's essence. it looks as though it was shot on the lamb in someone's basement, not by one of the most famous photogs in the world. maybe that makes it "artsy" but for what purpose?

Teenagers don't read VF? They do now! Anyway, they can see the picture of their "role model". If it's ok with her to take her clothes off in public, it must be ok for everyone who is 15. Or 14, or...
Borderline porn is all over. Look at Huffpost. Half the photos and ads are partially dressed females.
Including the one on this very page.
It sells. Unfortunately they go so far as to encourage a right wing backlash.
Hard to blame the Moslems who hate our culture.

God I must of missed it, given all the uproar some one must have died when they saw her back!

I mean this is bigger than the one million dead in Irag or the 3 trillion price tag, the 2 million that have left, the 5 trillion in debt Bush ran up, milk and gas gas at $4 per gallon and the Amercian dollar becoming a Pesso.

Regards.

For god's sake - most major news outlets could not wait to display photos of a knickerless Britney Spears - a whopping percentage of celebrities are celebrities only by virtue of their preparedness to expose as much bare skin as the ratings agencies can take - feeding the public's insatiable appetite for it. Cult members in Texas had underage teenage girls enslaved in marriage and motherhood to men three times their age. This girl shows a bare shoulder and the nation is in a moral melt-down, questioning their values? You have war criminals in your current administration - get a grip on the issues that count. What a farce.

You call these photos risque? Jeez, what era did you grow up in? Apparently it wasn't the 1970s or 1980s. Or you were the dorky kids hiding under rocks while everyone else was having sex and being outrageous? Brittany Spears had Bipolar Disorder to push her into over the edge. Brooke Shields played a prostitute when she was 12 (Pretty Baby). Jodie Foster, another Disney Girl, played a drug using prostitute stalked by a psycho path at 13 (Taxi Driver). It didn't seem to have a negative impact on their lives or careers.

You sound like victims of the big lie; you've heard the abstinence only line so long you've started to believe it. Repeat after me:

If this image creates/feeds 50 pedophiles, is that just the impact of the art? To me this image says that Hollywood does not have a problem with this. If that is the case, then we should have a problem with Hollywood.

The glamorization of drugs, is another problem in Hollywood. Is there a plot to corrupt our good culture? Do we want pedophiles, and teenagers hooked on heroin in this society? Ought our youngsters to be taught the US government is bad? Bring back the gipper, some social heroes, and tell the historical tale of the positive things about our culture, rather than tear it down.

What has happened? Too much foreign investiture in film-making and publicity? Give me Doris Day, Ronald Reagan, even Rambo, even sex tastefully done, but .... fodder for pedophiles?

Who are these people, who so degrade our values? People like Phil Spector? People who are sensationalists, possibly have a talent, but are actually crazy? Please save us from these looney-tunes !

"Is there a plot to corrupt our good culture?"

You're kidding, right? What "good culture"? Neocon? Evangelical? Puritan? These are all horribly destructive. It's only the so-called "good" people who have impure thoughts about this picture. Who do you suppose the real pedophiles are?

Phil Spector? The record producer who brought us the "Wall of Sound" and The Shangrilas in the 60's????? I will agree that Hollywood films lack in quality and nuance but it isn't foreigners that are responsible. It's easy to move the product. Do you actually watch foreign cinema? It's the best. The Rambo films extoll the virtue of vigilante violence. That's preferable to seeing images of people engaged in a primary driver of human beings (sex)?

Make Love, Not War!

Here in America sexuality is very bad says the neocons.

But I think the photos are a bit much for a fifteen year old. I also think its a bit much were still talking about it.
