How is the rest of Hollywood responding to the much-talked about Miley Cyrus Vanity Fair show?

Her father Billy Ray is reportedly very upset, as he left the set before the photo that caused the outcry was taken.

From Academy Award winner Sally Field and former Disney star Hilary Duff to the girls of MTV's The Hills and Rosie O'Donnell, "Extra" has the below reactions from Tinseltown regarding the 15 year-old's pictures. Plus, see what fellow teen-queen Hillary Duff had to say.

Sally Field: "I love Miley Cyrus. My granddaughters are completely and utterly over the moon. I watch Hannah Montana....I think, 'Let it go for God's sake'...It's a beautiful picture."

Hilary Duff: "It's a lot of pressure. I don't know how I would even begin to give her advice because I feel she has a huge career and she'll learn how to deal with it."

Lauren Conrad [The Hills]: "I found it a bit silly. I thought she looked beautiful in the pictures. I didn't find it that inappropriate. I think it's difficult. It s a lot of pressure on her since she is a role model, but I think she's doing a good job."

Heidi Montag [The Hills]: I think she's a young girl in Hollywood and she's just having fun. Exploring herself."

Spencer Pratt [The Hills]: "I didn't think it was that bad. Supposedly, she's wearing a top underneath. It's artistic."

Tila Tequila [VH1's A Shot of Love with Tila Tequila]: "I think it's hot. When I was 15, I was doing the same thing except a bared it all....She's just showing her back. She's growing up. I don't think she's doing anything harmful. If the media keeps pushing her, pressuring her, she might end up messed up. But right now, I think everyone should just let her have fun. She's not doing anything scandalous. I think she's hot!"

Emmy Rossum: "I think she's a role model for kids, but I think she looks beautiful."

Rosie O'Donnell spoke out about the so-called scandal on her blog saying, "I had two photo shoots with her [Annie Leibovitz]. It's intimidating. Annie Leibovitz. I also didn't think it was a pornographic photo in any capacity. I thought it was kind of a beautiful portrait, you know. I like the one of her and her dad too. It's Annie Leibovitz people. Leave Miley alone!"

Hillary Duff told People:

"Everyone goes through things and takes their own path," Duff said Monday a press event for her new movie War Inc. "Who am I to judge decisions that she made?"

Still, Duff says she would not have chosen the same path for herself. "People are pushing you to do something, and if you want to do it, that's your choice, you know?" added the singer-actress. "It's not what I would choose to do, but if she did then that's fine. That's her choice."

Jamie Lee Curtis wrote a blog about Miley Cyrus' Vanity Fair shoot for Huffington Post about it, and she thinks it's unfair that a child was put in that position.

Star editor Bonnie Fuller is also upset, and she's mad with Miley's parents, and voiced her displeasure in her own Huffington Post blog.

I don't have a problem in cutting her loose. There are please of others who can take her place and give the respect to the Disney name the company pays the actors to uphold. This is not rocket science and when you push the edge, you fall off.

This is only news because Brittany is otherwise engaged. Do Miley Cyrus fans read Vanity Fair now?

I am a grandmother with a seven year old grandaughter. We love the Hannah Montana Show and I think this photo is very lovely. Really,,,,have you noticed the fashion statements that younger children make? I am sorry that she feels embarrassed and finds it necessary to make an apology,,,,she makes a lot of kids happy everyday. There is no pornography in that artistic piece.

For fuck sake woman, this girl is 15 years old. Do all females in Hollywood have to be sexualized? She looks like she needs a heroin fix. What are you thinking even implying to your 7 year old grandkid that this is ok? But then look at the families that this girl and Britney Spears come from--pure southern white trash.

Is Annie Leibovitz into child porn? What the hell was she thinking when she came up with this photoshoot?

All the men who are into child porn will think this photo is "very artistic."

Her dad is an idiot if he couldn't see this--and he was right there! He's a bigger pimp than Jessica Simpson's dad.

Leibovitz, why did you ask a 15-year-old girl to take her shirt off? What kind of pervert are you?

Everyone involved in this photoshoot are idiots--Vanity Fair, the photographer, Billy Ray Cyrus, and Miley Cyrus herself.

If you're under contract with Disney, don't do stupid photos that discredit your employer and undermine its principles. And don't hide behind "art" when you're doing it.

Leibovitz knew she works for Disney and makes a ton of money from Disney, yet she still went ahead with the photoshoot and created a picture that got Miley in trouble with Disney.

Annie Leibovitz, take your art and stuff it up your safety deposit box!

Uh so the new definition of child porn is showing your uncovered back? I wouldn't go to the beach this summer if I was you. ya might get more than you can handle

You beat me to it dec8ur. The poster must live in the Mid East and believes that girls should be covered head to toe. Yep...you got it...in a burka.

I've seen teenaged girls at the beach wear hardly enough to make a regular handkerchief.

And this guy is worried about a bare back being child porn??

Flat Earthers....waddyagonnado.

As the mother of an 8 year old fan of Miley's I think the media and others are making a bigger deal of it then it is. Would I let my 15 year old pose for it? No. Do I think it was the best thing in the world? No. Do I think it will affect my daughter? No. She's 8. She doesn't read Vanity Fair. She still has no clue that her favorite star from Highschool musical had pictures online of her posing nude, or that the star of Zoey 101 is pregnant at 16. Do I think it will hurt Miley's career? No, and if anything, she learned a harmless lesson that you have to think about what you do. Also, Miley is growing up...if she ever gets to the point where her entertainment is innapropriate for my daughters we will wait for the next big thing Disney offers...They've been pumping out stars since Annette Funiccelo and they won't stop at Miley.

i think this affects all of our 8 year old daughters. it's another message that the natural trajectory of a hannah montana is sex kitten. somehow her talent and wit and personality just aren't enough. i think it's naive of our culture to think that this doesn't affect the minds of all young girls.

miley is 15. that's not grown up in my book, and too soon to be packaged as a sex object. she's a girl. and i think that we should all be outraged at the continued commidification of our young girls. i love annie leibowitz. but this was bad.

preemptivelove-

I completely and totally agree with you. I didn't mean the overall affect this kind of behavior in our society would have on my daughter. I just meant that she wouldn't know about this particular event. I don't keep Vanity Fair or other fashion magazines in my house, I don't let her watch shows or play with dolls that promote sexuality in young girls. I have even had the talk with her that some people think that all a girl is worth is what her body looks like and she has so much more to offer the world. But Miley wasn't naked, she was completely covered...and she was manipulated in the photograph to look a certan way. I think she sat for a photo shoot and in the studio thought it was artistic. When it was seen through the filter of the media and a perverted society she became embarrassed. I think Miley is for the most part a good girl, growing up in a corrupt business. I blame this gaffe on all the adults that were present at the photo shoot. Leibowitz, Vanity Fair employees and whoever was responsible for Miley that day. They should have known better. I just don't think it's the end of the world.

Its the fact that the poor girl was exploited. It is the fact that her parents and Disney have pimped her out, to get money out of parents. She is a child to all intents and purposes, VF should not have taken such a picture that reeks of sexual innuendo. The celebrities that have been questioned on this subjects are idiots. ' I think she is hot, its artistic' and what nots are the utterings of complete imbeciles. If it was a normal adult who took the picture, people would be screaming 'pervert' or 'paedophile' but since its Annie Leibovitz, the masses are screaming 'art'. I happen to have an 11 year old sister who watches Hannah Montana, and when she saw the pictures on the news, along with the other ones circulating on the internet, she decided to boycott all things Disney. Disney and her parents have a duty of care towards Miley but they have failed her, that is the sad thing.

Typical puritan uproar. Why are we Americans so affraid of nudity or sex? Violence is OK though. Any coincidence that this happens the same week that an uber-violent video game is released. Keeps the parent groups distracted from the truly scary stuff.

Because it's easier to act offended over sex than it is to grasp a complex situation like a failing economy or a disastrous war. Americans are seemingly only capable of grappling with issues in the most shallow of ways, and that renders them - us - unable to effectively deal with anything but the most irrelevant issues - like the Miley Cyrus photos.

Outrage is only possible when you have some basic understanding of an issue and frankly, Americans are too uninformed to be outraged out much besides things like pictures of Miley Cyrus.

I think this is all blow out of proportion - that is not a scandalous picture of a 15 year old, if there's anything that's offensive, it should be called out that she looks dead - not a bright, sunny, happy pic of a girl in the prime of her youthfullness, but one that looks like she woke up one morning without a soul - or was attacked by a vampire... maybe that's the point - i dont know, perhaps we ask annie leibowitz. i think the picture is beautiful and it makes me sad that so many minds are in the gutter over this... has anyone seen the average myspace or facebook page of regular 15 year olds? maybe you should before judging Ms. Miley.

Teenagers do not read VF. This was a pose with sexual innuendo, and a shame. Shame on all those who took this young lady and exploited her in this manner. She should appear as she is : a bright young, fun loving teenager, not as a shady bedroom queen with puffy looking lips for pedophiles to admire. Why let it ride? Why not stop it?

much to do about nothing... just another white trash celebrity and her family acting stupid (ala Britney)
Should we start a betting pool on when the crotch shots will show up?

Media hype much? She's put photos of herself out that are racier than the VF picture, so I'm not sure what the fuss is about. I call publicity stunt.

It is not a big deal. The only people making a big deal out of this are the press. (They need the ratings and will say anything to get them.)

Miley Cyrus is the queen of tweendom. She has the kind of power such that she didn't have to do this photo shoot and besudes, her minders were there. She and hers are reacting to the reaction to the photos instead of the quality.
