Official Tearfully Admits He Sniffed Female Lawmaker's Chairseat

Australia's Sunday News reports on an Australian government official who is facing calls to resign after admitting that he sniffed a female lawmaker's chair seat after she had stood up. The same lawmaker was recently in trouble for snapping the bra of another female lawmaker.

Troubled Opposition leader Troy Buswell has broken down in tears at a press conference and admitted he sniffed the chair of a female Liberal Party staffer.

With tears in his eyes, Mr Buswell had to compose himself before telling the media in Mandurah this morning that his behaviour had been unacceptable.

Mr Buswell said he had repeatedly refused to deny the allegations because he wanted to protect the woman involved.

But he broke down after he was asked about the effect of the reports on his wife and children.

So..I told a Joke.. said..... that guy at the end of the bench is a snark.

Cops; what's that mean..... He is a guy who sniff's bicycle seats..

I did not know it ...but the guy handcuffed to the other end of the bench...

Socially, the Liberal Party is a conservative party, although it has a minority socially liberal wing. In recent years, under John Howard, it has moved to a more conservative policy agenda. The party has also adopted a tough policy on unauthorised immigration (see Mandatory detention in Australia). It has also strongly supported Australia's traditional alliances with the United States and the United Kingdom, including support for the Iraq War.

the "liberal" party in Aussieland is called the Labor Party.

I am concerned by the constant attacks on the relevance and role of the family unit from all sorts of people pushing all sorts of social agendas."

He did it as a way of playing up to the fella's and it backfired bigtime. But he said he was sorry for the bra-strap incident and did the "I throw myself on the mercy of the press" routine and they all lapped it up so this one - which apparently occurred at an earlier date - has just been seen as an opportunity for the press to get together and yuk it up a bit
(He's just filling a seat at the moment anyway)
