Aaron Brown: Olbermann Is "Smarter, Funnier, Better Read, And Eminently More Talented" Than O'Reilly

Aaron Brown is back. Earlier this week, it was reported that he will be joining PBS' "Wide Angle" show and now, in an interview with TVNewser's Gail Shister, he's throwing punches and taking sides in the Olbermann-O'Reilly battle:

Brown says he never felt like a real cable guy. That doesn't exclude him from having opinions about it, thankfully.

His take on the battle at 8 p.m. between MSNBC and Fox News Channel, for example:

Keith Olbermann and Bill O'Reilly "are both larger-than-life figures," he says, but Olbermann is "smarter, funnier, better read and eminently more talented."

Bill-O and Fox hate Olbermann because he is their polar opposite both in political lean and intellectual integrity.

And quick fact check: REAGANRIGHT asserted that the RNC does not have, "super delegates". This is incorrect. The RNC does have, "unpledged RNC delegates." The difference is that the RNC delegates have less say in the final outcome because in the republican primary system, delegates aren't handed out proportionally (TRANSLATION: the delegate count doesn't reflect the will of the people). This is why in the Georgia Primary (for example) . . .

The Popular vote broke down like this:

McCain: 32%
Huckabee: 34%
Romney: 30%

But the delegates break down like this:
McCain: 12
Huckabee: 54
Romney: 0

So one could clearly argue that the RNC's method of assigning delegates gives no regard for the will of the people

Oh boy! So happy to hear Aaron Brown will be back on TV. His voice has really been missing during these times.

As for Keith, love him, love the show and appreciate the honesty of his opinions.

As for Bill O', what a fool, a tool and a blowhard. He has really fallen in my original take of him. He at least used to make some sense even if I didn't agree with him. Now, he is an empty suit with little background on the things he spews.

I think Keith has tried to be fair in his assessments of Clinton campaign and brave with his take-on of the current administratiion.

It'll be nice to have both him and Brown commenting on life in the US of A.

Not taking anything away from Anderson, but Brown offers wry insights and a world view missing from the current CNN crew.

He has a strong news background locally in Seattle and at ABC in NY.

Keith Olbermann is a genius! He is the one that almost singled handedly made George Bush a bad word. When you see an Olbermann tee shirt on Cafe Press, the progenitor of political slogan wear and he's under the Anti-Bush section, you know Keith has scored a victory. Now he is out to tear into Hillary Clinton and her horse manure. I have watched Keith religiously since 2004 and admire him no end.

I don't know. I kinda like Oberman. A LOT. He's like me. When I hear a politician or someone on TV say something that jsut doesn't make sense, I say "Huh!? What the...?" Then I wait for the so-called journalists to pipe in and expose the speaker. yet all I get is silence. With Kieth, he takes them on. Most of his detractors can't get past the delivery or just miss the nuance all together. Pretty much doesn't say much for their ability to sniff out bulls***.
