Hillary Clinton campaigned Wednesday in Indianapolis, on the same day that Indiana superdelegate and former Clinton supporter Joe Andrew announced he was switching his allegiance to Barack Obama. Clinton says she's not worried about Joe Andrew's endorsement of Obama....

Clinton called her base of support "broader and deeper" than Obama's, and said, "At the end of the day, that's what it should be about for Democrats. You know, it is who can better win. And I've won the big states. I've won the states that we have to anchor. If we had the Republican rules, I would already be the nominee."

If someone has been voting republican for 28 years, how are they a "Reagan Democrat"? Aren't they just a Republican? or dead by now?

Can't we all agree that we don't need them, and we would rather have the young people that Obama brings to the table?

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 03:11 PM on 05/02/2008

Agreed, that's an obsolete term.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 05:32 PM on 05/03/2008

OK, now both Bill and Hillary have stated that if they were in the GOP race, she'd be the nominee. Is there anyone or anything stopping them both from joining (re-joining for Hillary) the GOP...perhaps since Hillary touts John McCain's ideas, it would be an appropriate running mate pick for McCain to pick her as his VP! Then everyone is happy!

Bill and HRC are corporate. The MSM is consumed broadly and without a fairness doctrine. Of course, it favors it's friends and associates.

Unfortunately for Billary, the People have the Internet, and a lot more of the truth than that offered by any corporate power.

Let's see Hillary's base includes.....

women, older voters, latinos, blue-collar dems, catholics, whites 18+, college educated voters in the suburbs......

Obama's base is blacks and a handful of moveon.org types.

Yes, her base is indeed far broader than Obamas.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 11:54 AM on 05/02/2008

I fit in six of your categories:

white, woman, over 18, blue-collar dem, catholic and college educated. I support Obama.

Don't believe everything you read.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 03:24 PM on 05/02/2008

I am Latino and I support Barack as do many in my community.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 01:13 PM on 05/02/2008

Obama's MAIN SUPPORT IS BLACKS. FACE IT. THAT IS ALL HE HAS.

No, he does not have the "youth vote"....18-29 year olds INCLUDE the AA vote....when its only whites Clinton wins 18-29 year olds 53-47 percent over Obama.

He only wins the college educated vote in URBAN cities....she won them in the Philly suburbs.

Obama IS the black candidate, and the choice of media elitists but that is it.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 11:50 AM on 05/02/2008

Okay if he "only" get's the AA and youth vote how do you explain his wins in states like MD, VA, MO, KS, Iowa and my state of WA which I can assure you barely has a black population? Now it is true that in the rural areas she has a strong hold but guess what? Republicans come national election time go republican. And I think it's pretty clear why she gets the older women vote. And sorry but it doesn't say much about a candidate who gets the majority of the less educated among us.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 02:33 PM on 05/02/2008

Count this white honkey cracker couple as Obama supporters...so I guess your theory isn't quite accurate...I don't know anyone in our family/friends who's voting for Clinton....they're all very intelligent people who have memory of what the Clinton Siege was like...and won't encourage it again.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 01:32 PM on 05/02/2008

LMAO@that. Now that is funny! What's interesting is this...some people (both Black and White) try to marginalize Obama as the "Black" candidate. Is that the best you can do? Between him being Black and going to Rev. Wright's church...honestly, is that the best you can do?

I must admit, I am further encouraged that the majority of White people are decent folks who want whats best for themselves and their families. Whether the President is Black, White, male, or female, does not make or break a candidate. The rest of you Uncle Tom-foolery voters chide on and on about him being Black. Be careful...To those same people you are hoping to sway, you may just be fanning the flames for them to truly see how revolutionary they can be.

Maybe she could do the Democratic Party a favor and switch to Republican. I'm sure she'd have just as much of a shot in that party in 2012 as she does in the Dems.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 11:45 AM on 05/02/2008

If this were the North Pole, I would be an Eskimo...but it's not...and im not.

This is the DNP...not the GOP. You are Hillary...not John. This is the primary...and you are losing.

Who needs washing machines when Hillary has the spin cycle on 24/7.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 11:19 AM on 05/02/2008

I would call more shallow, less educated, bigoted, or Republican.

Her "broader base" includes "Sh*t" and "Worthless White N*rs" according to her adviser. That's what he calls the Indianans.

She's seriously delusional ... Here's a thought: why doesn't Hillary Huckabee just become John McInsane's running mate?

She would if he would take the bottom slot on the ticket.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 10:41 AM on 05/02/2008

If you base was "broader and deeper", wouldn't ou have WON, Hillary?

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 10:00 AM on 05/02/2008

You wonder why the MSM never asks her why she isn't way ahead of Obama .

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 10:26 AM on 05/02/2008

The MSM - pffffft.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 11:32 AM on 05/02/2008

Good one, Hill!! Yes, your, um, "base" is certainly broad and deep.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 09:51 AM on 05/02/2008

She might as well be a Republican. But she's not so she needs to stop complaining already.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 09:49 AM on 05/02/2008

The sick-of-Hillary base is growing by the day. It will no doubt merge with the alienated AA base, and deflated, demoralized youth vote. If she thinks that we are all marginalized, and will simply fall in line....because 'we have no where else to go', she is sadly mistaken. The fissures in this party are beginning to crack wide open.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 09:46 AM on 05/02/2008

I totally agree. My rage towards her has pretty much extended to the entire democratic establishment, for allowing this to happen. If her husband wasn't who we was, and if they weren't both the vindictive insiders we know them to be, they would have been stopped long ago. Yet another example of the Dem's lack of spine.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 11:34 AM on 05/02/2008

Hillary is obviously breathing in what Bill did not inhale.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 09:41 AM on 05/02/2008

If we had the Republican rules, winter would be spring, the Beatles would be the Rolling Stones, and the toilets would flush in the opposite direction. What is it with her and Gerry Ferraro's obsession with hypotheticals?

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 09:39 AM on 05/02/2008

I can't believe she actually repeated this! I thought it was insane of her to say it in the first place, but apparently she thinks it's a good idea to bring up GOP rules in a Dem primary race.

Of course, this is the same person who believes that if you repeat something enough, it makes it true. And for her followers it does. Ask some of her followers if they believe Obama and his supporters tried to disenfranchise millions of voters by ending the primary race. They will probably say 'YES!'.

Since Hillary is so fond of the GOP, then remind those followers that even though John McCain is the presumptive GOP nominee, the GOP is STILL HOLDING PRIMARIES and will continue to hold primaries through all the rest of the season. The same is true for the Dems. The notion that these voters wouldn't get to go to the polls is ridiculous, but Hillary said it (again and again), her followers believed it and that's that.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 09:24 AM on 05/02/2008

" ... If we had the Republican rules, I would already be the nominee." I do believe that Clinton is a Republican in disguise! She should join the party of her youth and stop pretending that she is a Democrat.

TO ALL THE OBAMA SUPPORTERS:
Since the media is refusing to reveal/report the Paul vs Clinton fraud case in court right now, we need to create our own movement and flood every blog on CNN and every blogging website on the World Wide Web with information from the case regardless of what the topic is. For those that don't know - Google Paul vs Clinton and hold on to your shirt with what you read!!
For those of you who think this case has been thrown out or is irrelevant:
"In the landmark civil fraud case against Bill Clinton in Los Angeles, where the former President is charged with defrauding a Hollywood dot com millionaire to help Hillary Clinton obtain more than $1.2 million from him for her 2000 Senate campaign, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Aurelio Munoz ruled on Friday, April 25, 2008 that Hillary Clinton would not be required to testify in a sworn deposition as a material witness in the case until AFTER the November election!."(paulvclinton.com)
Here is the kicker - the judge is a Bill Clinton appointee!

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 11:39 AM on 05/02/2008

Too bad, Hillary. You should have run as a Republican instead of punishing the Democratic party yet again. That would have been most appropriate since you're more like them than you are Obama. Running as a Neocon in the Democratic party has gotten you beat this time. Stop trying to fool people and things will go better for you.
