Clinton: Base "Broader And Deeper" Than Obama's

Hillary Clinton campaigned Wednesday in Indianapolis, on the same day that Indiana superdelegate and former Clinton supporter Joe Andrew announced he was switching his allegiance to Barack Obama. Clinton says she's not worried about Joe Andrew's endorsement of Obama....

Clinton called her base of support "broader and deeper" than Obama's, and said, "At the end of the day, that's what it should be about for Democrats. You know, it is who can better win. And I've won the big states. I've won the states that we have to anchor. If we had the Republican rules, I would already be the nominee."

Finally, it’s time for straight talk.. I don't care what pollsters say, Hillary is sure fire loser - for one reason only. She is engaging in fear and smear campaign. That's the only reason she's gaining ground. And, her current success proves that fear and smear works. She may be riding high now, but trust me. After she wins the nomination, names like Marc Rich, Carlos Vignali, Roger Clinton, and Hugh Rodham will suddenly re-surface. The GOP and the GOP media will use the same smear and fear tactics against her - and there will be nothing, absolutely nothing, she or any one else can do about it, not even joining the Klan The entire Democratic party will go down to defeat and it will join the dustbin of history.. What sort of candidate is that?

There's only one way to save the Democratic party or this country, for that matter - Vote for Obama. A vote for Obama is a vote against the fear and smear tactics of Karl Rove, McCain, Elaine Chao and the GOP.
The choice is yours. I'd advise you to think of everything Hillary promised you. If she wins the Democratic nomination, kiss it all goodby.

Yes, the media which has been so helpful to her so far, will, if she is nominated, suddenly discover (horrors, my dears!) that she has been lying to us. And they will come out with each and every one, with every contradiction, with every stupid utterance.
I don't see the Democrats losing entirely, but many of the toss up cases will go down with her.
Worse yet! She could win, and that would be a worse fate thanhaving McCain as president. He is only good for one term, she for a lot longer! I don't think we can take that kind of ill fortune.

When she loses the Democratic nomination, I wouldn't put it past her to put her sights on begging McCain to choose her as his running mate. She could continue to praise him as she's done all throughout this campaign, and they could say it's a bipartisan ticket. Bill says she is SUCH good friends with McCain. Hillary would salivate at the chance to be VP to the OLDEST person to take the office of the Presidency, if he were to win.

BTW, Hillary says she & McCain both passed the Commander-in-Chief test. Hmm, must have been much easier than the DC bar exam which she FAILED. Or than pumping gas. Or operating a coffee machine.

As far as I know, Hillary Clinton is not a Republican. She is a Democrat. Being a Democrat means, though she seems to want to forget it, she has to abide by the rules of the Democratic Party. That means that the Florida primary doesn't count, and the Michigan one doesn't either. She agreed with the party leaders that they wouldn't..­..........­..........­..........­.until all of a sudden, she wasn't the only viable candidate. Now, suddenly, she wants the rules re-written just for her, because they OWE her the nomination.
If the situation were reversed and Obama were in the position she is now, she would be urging him to step down. She already resents his candidacy, considering that she assumed he would have no chance at the beginning and that the nomination would be a coronation for her.......­........at last.
You agreed to the rules, Ms. Clinton and now you must abide by them.
