In a sermon given at his San Antonio, Texas Cornerstone megachurch that was telecast and available in up to ninety million homes worldwide, controversial pastor John Hagee, who has endorsed the presidential bid of Arizona Republican Senator John McCain, Jr., claimed that American public schools provide abortion services. Hagee stated, "Your daughter can get an abortion in public school without telling you but she can't get an aspirin without your approval." The pastor also claimed that public school teachers can force their students to study a "precursor to witchcraft" and suggests that America has invited "satan" and demonic spirits into its public school systems by failing to display the Ten Commandments on classroom walls. Presidential hopeful John McCain, Jr. has said he is "glad to have" Hagee's support and "admires" the leadership of the Texas pastor - who has declared God has cursed and doomed America.

I know, I know, I can't seem to find aspirin anywhere. But everywhere I look all I can see is abortions. Street corners, drug stores, campus quads, even the mall for goodness sakes! Hagee for President and put a stop to this outrageous nonsense!

Attention Libtards!

If you think you'll ride the 'highway to heaven' by passing out birth control pills shaped like Spooge Bob Square Pants to six year old girls, I venture to say, 'uh noooo' you won't.

The Lord Baby Jesus loves you but, sorry, you're all invited to Satan's everlasting barbeque, 666 Lake of Fire Road, Helltown. Be there or be saved - which won't happen, fruitcups.

This man is obviously some kind of truly dangerous nut job! If only some noble member of our esteemed media could look into this and warn all of us citizens. Too bad every investigative journalist available is deeply immersed in their 24/7 surveillance of all things Jeremiah Wright.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 11:28 PM on 05/01/2008

Pastor Hagee, Jesus loves you. Everyone else thinks you're a dangerous lunatic.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 10:33 PM on 05/01/2008

Go to Youtube and type in John Hagee. There are several videos of this babbling zealot spewing his hatred. BTW, since when can you get an abortion in a public school? Hagee is an effective public speaker, but speaks many lies, distortions and plenty of flat out crap. He is a truly frightening man.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 07:51 PM on 05/01/2008

Let me get this straight. You folks argue that just because Obama went to Wright's church that doesn't mean he thinks like Wright. Correct?

But, at the sametime you want to argue that because McCain got the nomination from this kook, Hagee, that he must believe all that Hagee preaches. And to go further you believe that Hagee will be an influence on McCain? That is just not true.

It would also be a mistake to believe that everyone in Hagees church is a racist, that is if you follow the belief that Obama is not anti-American like Wright.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 07:26 PM on 05/01/2008

Not so much that McCain GOT the nomination from Hagee but that he SOUGHT the nomination from Hagee.

The point that isn't being made is that Hagee, Dobson, Robertson and the like are big players in the GOP power structure. I actually don't think that McCain believes what Hagee's preaching. The problem is that he has to pander to people like Hagee to get the nomination.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 10:31 PM on 05/01/2008

"...Not so much that McCain GOT the nomination from Hagee but that he SOUGHT the nomination from Hagee...." No, no...the point is Hagee believes McInsane will do what he, Hagee, wants enough to endorse him..THAT'S what is scary.

I think Hagee is correct about McInsane.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 03:09 AM on 05/02/2008

Republicans painted Obama with this brush, so why should McCain be any different? Guilt by association.

You know, I have tried to listen and understand the point of views here on this site. I have been insulted in more ways than I could have ever imagined. I have and will continue to be fair to all of the candidates. But the views expressed on this site are not going to gain any of the democrat candidates any votes.

This site is depressing and is just sucking the life out of me. So, bye.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 03:12 AM on 05/02/2008

I kind of like the idea of a precursor course on Witchcraft. On the abortion and aspirin issue, whether you're in favor or not, it is true. You can't fault him for that.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 06:49 PM on 05/01/2008

Umm, I don't know what public school YOU went to, but here in AMERICAN public schools, the school nurse doesn't perform abortions...

Wow the times sure have changed. I miss the good ol' days of leg warmers, headbands, old spice and everything nice. Care Bears, mood rings, penny loafers and jordache jeans. AAHHH the good ol' days.

Dear mainstream media, while you beat to death the story of Clinton supporter Rev. Wright and conduct polls every two hours to see how the public is responding to your coverage (which, sadly, doesn't comprise real news), I've followed in the footsteps of another poster at The Swamp by using my much-courted wallet to let the sponsors of MSNBC, CNN and FOX know I'll be buying store-brand items instead of paying them to continue depriving me of objective, informative coverage on airwaves paid for by taxpayers. If the news organizations themselves continue to ignore the public (and decide the election for us), then perhaps they'll listen to their benefactors.

HuffPost's Pick

Dear Pastor Hagee,

I'm delighted to see the Gluttony thing working out so well for you. However, it has come to our attention that you appear to be using an inordinate amount of samples of our premier product, Pride, while not fulfilling your contractual obligation to purchase. This indicates that you may have been sampling our other premier line, Greed, without notifying us.

We are concerned about your lack of respect for your contractual obligations. This places us in the regrettable position of having to call our note due upon your soul if satisfactory payment is not received within ten (10) business days. If no action is taken upon your part by this date, we will either meet you in Hell or in court whichever your preference.

Sincerely,
Beelzebub

"Hagee: Abortions easier to get in schools than aspirin"

And because real American Patriots are constantly defending even your right to free speech Mr. Hagee, you can still say things this stupid and with no basis in reality, with total impunity.

Rational people all know your nuts anyway, so our Nation is all the stronger for protecting even your right to say ignorant and hateful things against Catholics and the many others you hate, knowing full well that you would deny that right to others if given the opportunity.

But that, Mr. Hagee, is among the defining differences between genuine American Patriots, and . . . well . . . you.

How UNBELIEVABLY ignorant. These people are so painfully stupid it defies reason.

Presidential hopeful John McCain, Jr. has said he is "glad to have" Hagee's support and "admires" the leadership of the Texas pastor - who has declared God has cursed and doomed America.

Wow - he actually said that GWB is God's curse??

I spent 20 years in a pulpit of a similar church and I can tell you that Hagee always irritated me. The arrogance and condescension was a bit over the top for me and statements like this are delivered every Sunday ad nauseum and filed under "dogma."

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 04:34 PM on 05/01/2008

And you stayed? Why Hillary (God bless her excellency) would have stomped her candy ass out of that church, or so she says.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 05:32 PM on 05/01/2008

And McCain sought out Hagee's endorsement, and said he is glad to have it.

That doesn't speak well for McCain or the GOP.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 05:05 PM on 05/01/2008

SAY! wasn't this guy, McCain an Episcopalian BEFORE he met Hagee, a Baptist? He thinks he's courting the Evangelical vote.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 04:28 PM on 05/01/2008

I dunno about this crap Hagee is spewing but if I remember my own experience correctly, when I was a kid it was actually a hell of a lot easier to get some Aspirin in school than to get me some Ass... for what it's worth.

Times have changed. A quarter of teenage girls don't get STD's from toilet seats.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 06:52 PM on 05/01/2008

Oh MrKnuckles, THAT was funny!

Thanks for the laugh.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 05:15 PM on 05/01/2008

Much as we'd all like to jump all over this, don't you think that it would better to keep our powder dry on this issue and wait until the GE?

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 04:26 PM on 05/01/2008

...and we have a bunch if idiots worried about Wright and Obama.

I love how this hasn't been covered by any large media outlets. We have this fat, old, southern, WHITE guy preaching bullshit about public schools, abortion, and America's doomsday...but the big focus is on a black guy who is angry for being treated like an animal. Good work.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 04:23 PM on 05/01/2008

And unlike Wright, Hagee actively advocates violence in the form of Armageddon.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 04:49 PM on 05/01/2008

Last year, around this time, Max Blumenthal put together a great video on John Hagee called "Rapture Ready: The Unauthorized Christians United for Israel Tour" ( http://preview.tinyurl.com/28xxks ). It's a great video that shows how several high-ranking politicians from the right have aligned themselves with John Hagee and what that exactly means.

If Max can fold back the story so easily why can't big media?

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 03:54 PM on 05/01/2008

Bill Moyers also did an entire program on Hagee and his connections to high-ranking politicians from the right. Moyers included a discussion of Hagee's "theology" with two prominent theologians, one Jewish and one Christian. Here is the link:

WHAT A BACKWARD FREAK.....................HERE'S ONE GUY WHO NEVER HAD TO READ " The Crucible" in high school. Had he been exposed to a proper education, and read good authors, he may have gleened a greater understanding of life in general.

Instead, he learned how to spread fear, and hatrad via God, and bliked people out of thier hard-earned money through the lowest of emotions..............FEAR AND GUILT. Oldest profession in the world, really.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 03:53 PM on 05/01/2008

Backward freak? You have 14 and 15 year olds getting pregnant and abortion clinics providing procedures with out parental consent. You don't think that's backwards?

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 05:07 PM on 05/01/2008

No, it says something about the poor relationship teenage girls have with their parents.

If your 14 year old daughter found herself pregnant, you'd demand she give birth? Says a lot about *YOU*.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 03:23 AM on 05/02/2008

And the saddest part is that all over America, folks heard his words and shouted "Amen!" And then ran out to see if it was too early to vote for McCain or too late to demand that the Constitution be changed to give King George a third term.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 03:53 PM on 05/01/2008

Maybe if they started passing out birth control pills and condoms instead of aspirin they could cut down on the need for the teachers to double as abortion specialists. Maybe if they provided some realistic and accurate sex education instead of the fantasy-based abstinance curriculum the teacher's lounge could go back to being the space where educators blow off their free time instead of the waiting room for the abortions that the lunch ladies are performing in the school cafeteria in between serving up ketchup as part of the assortment of vegetables available to our children.
