Bush Says Economy Is Going To 'Come On'

President Bush, buoyed by a batch of economic news that wasn't as bad as expected, predicted Friday that consumers are on their way to better days.

"I know it's tough times, and I know you're having to pay more at the fuel pump than you want," Bush said. "But this economy is going to come on. I'm confident it will."

"I know it's tough times, and I know you're having to pay more at the fuel pump than you want," Bush said.
-----------------------
All his policies were designed to make the price of oil go up, to help increase the profits for oil companies. And we are supposed to believe that he is concerned about Americans paying more at the gas pump?

What a joke!

But a bigger joke is that, were he running for President, 30% would still vote for him. Think about it. All he would have to do is fool another 21%, and would continue to be our President.

That is what is most depressing.

A fair comparison is with Western Europe, which has a similar standard of living than ours. And they do have higher gas prices, but excellent mass transportaion systems that provide people an alternative way of transportation.

Furthermore, it is not the price itself, it is how rapidly it changed, without an accompanying change in wages. The wages, in real terms have either been stagnant or declined for most Americans.

I am sure you are not claiming that this rapid increase in gas price has not adversely affected Americans, are you?

Of course he knows. What has Bush done that has benefited anyone except the rich and the corporations?

Look at the helthcare costs. Those have at least doubled since he came to office.

Rich people think everyone is rich. They have no idea how the mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation. And life is getting harder because service jobs don't pay enough to survive. And there aren't enough jobs to go around.

Rich people DO NOT think everyone is rich
Their greatest pride is knowing they are rich and in a very small percentage group
some are humanitarian - others are not
but believe me, they know very few are rich

I find it amazing that every time we are getting bad news, he twists it to good. This delusion is immediately followed by him indulging in recreational activities, whether it be fishing, golfing or biking. He truly doesn't give a damn about Americans or what they are going through under his reign of terror.

As long as the POTUS has a good workout on his bike, he doesn't mind if kids have their limbs blown off or they lose their lives. He has to be the worst president in American history.

How many times has the Fed cut interest rates now??? That has to have some effect. And the piddling checks Dubya is mailing - they'll have some little effect. But we're still going into recession and we'll be in recession come election day and it's bad news for the bad people in Congress. I don't know if we'll win the White House because it's been such a nightmare primary, but we're gonna kick bootie in Congress.

"How many times has the Fed cut interest rates now??? That has to have some effect."

Yes, JoJo. It causes real property values to plummet. Those who own their homes, lose money each time the feds cut rates. As property values drop, taxes are increased.

Rate cuts help only the wealthy who dabble in the stock market, and corporations, which control all aspects of our lives.

We're headed for a depression because of mismanagement by BushCo. It's precisely where neocons want us.

Hopefully it'll soften the blow. The Fed cuts are helping homeowners a lot, I think; but the damage is done, and we still perch precariously on a financial institution economy. All I know is that the tax rebate is going straight into attempting to pay down many people's debt.

Congress--absolutely. If it wasn't for the Corporate Media and institutionalized election fraud, the Republican party would be relegated to 3rd party status.

I am taking it the man doesn't have a worry in the world because he is completely void of a moral compass. I am afraid that there are way too many just like him in the world. That is why 27% approve of what he is doing. Who are these crazy people. I am guessing many are voting for Hill.
