Gibson was on NBC prior to his joining Fox Newstwister Cesspool. During Geraldo Rivera's nightly show years ago on CNBC covering the OJ murder trial, Gibson would appear fairly often reporting from the field about the trial. Now Rivera is at Fox and maybe had something to do with Gibson's arrival there; however, Gibson may have been fired and not recruited. Mercifully, Gibson was removed from his TV show but kept his radio show. Many of us (who tune in briefly to test the crackpot performances as a source of humor) thought that he was at last invisible. However, he has begun to show up for a few minutes to bray his irrelevancies on the TV show that replaced him, featuring Bill Hemmer (from CNN) and a loud, nasal-tinny voiced blond (seemingly a requirement for employment at the Cesspool) who is as obnoxious as E.D. Hill (Shill O'Reilly's female sidekick on his radio show) and the regular guests Ann Coulter and Laura Ingraham. Gibson fits in very well with the scoundrels at Fox who for the right price will say just anything showing on the prompters and the more scabrous the content the more they love spewing it.

Rachel transcends sex, even as Reverend Wright transcends race, John McCain transcends age, Hillary Clinton transcends gender, Barack Obama transcends elitism, and John Gibson transcends thought.
Transcendentalism returns to America after a 150 year absence.

John Gibson is an ass; an Ann Coulter wannabe without the guts to go all the way.

Who cares what he says?

I thought the point of equality and not being concerned about a person's sexuality was not labeling someone as the female broadcaster or the woman reporter or the heterosexual reporter. Who cares if she is a lesbian. What has that got to do with how she reads or reporters the news? Does being gay give someone a special insight into war, poverty, illness?

It will be really hip and cutting edge when people stop giving a damn what people do in private. That will be revolutionary.

Being gay may not give someone "special" insight, but it certainly can elicit DIFFERENT valuable insights into the problems of the day. Insights that have always been ignored or discounted by the mainstream. It's time to hear these voices, and to make the next "great leap forward" where other voices are heard and treated with respect.

What more could you expect from Faux. Another thing wrong with our society. Bias against a person's sexual, or racial preference. The woman no matter what that preference is, shows an ability to deliver good journalist opinions and reporting. I do notice however some men ie Joe Scarborough seem threatened by her intelligence.

Ironically, I think you nailed it when you lumped "racial" and "sexual" preference together. Each in themselves is as much a preference as the other!

Gibson is almost as bad as HENnity and O'silly. A Complete joke and a moron. If he ever had the guts of facing Ms. Maddow, she'd kick his flabby behind.

I thought that dufus got fired. Was that just from TV? Never knew he had a radio show. Hey, these rare old birds like him may soon have to be put on the endangered feces list. That will happen faster if they don't get any air on Huffpost.

Pasty old bastard can't take it that the world is changing, right before his eyes. And basically, there's nothing he can do about it. Kinda like Buchanan and Dobbs.

How old is John Gibson? He certainly puts the arrested in development. Anyhow, there is no news on the cable news networks. They're phasing it out into a more eloquent collaboration of talk show fluff. In the same way MTV got rid of "music television" fox CNN and MSNBC are ditching the burdensome sometimes costly news in favor of entertainment. Ask yourself, is a buffoon like Reverend Wright worthy of this attention? What does he do other than foolishly opine? Let's put the Wright hour on TBC prime-time every night! Maybe then the "story" will evanesce?
No one wants to listen to NPR because it's boring, the internet can inform but usually it encapsulates everyone into like minded camps and as for the BBC news, the only fair mainstream outlet, "I'm an Amarican, I'll take Amarican news thank you."
And as people in a voting republic we're privileged to have all these choices to be well informed, but are so foolish to not take advantage. Most Americans, the left and more so the right alike are condemned by and large to engorge ourselves on entertainment and endure as little of the local 6'Oclock news as we see applicable to ourselves in order to stave off a slow intellectual starvation.

John Gibson barely has a career, yet he's making fun of David Gregory, who has his own show, and goes to press conferences with the President.

Conservative men like Gibson share several traits with liberal men. One of these traits is hypocrisy when it comes to homosexulaity. Both conservative and liberal men will often condemn men engaged in homosexual PDA"s. Yet, when it comes to females engaged in homosexual PDA's, they're all for it. Talk about thinking with your balls and not your brain.

If you don't belive me, just look at any regular porn movie or men's magazine. There's almost always scenes involving women engaging in homosexual activity with each other. And these dumb men dare to call it "straight". Sorry, guys, but it's not straight. You have a female homosexual fetish which suggests a mental illness on your part.

Some of us throw up a little bit in the back of our throats thinking about male homosexuality. It isn't fear, it isn't religion, it isn't anything except disgust at the unnatural. We don't really care who does it, but we don't want to see it or know who they are. There it is, sport; the facts on file.

And of course many normal men like to watch two women get it on because the fantasy is one of them will look up, look over, and give us the high sign to come on over and join the fun.

To recap: men cavorting with men: unnatural and revolting. One lucky fellow cavorting with multiple women who may help one another along: unnatural and fascinating.

Next.

Gibson is the same fool who still (or so he claims) carries a gas mask with him everywhere he goes...

This is just another example of the right-wing's attempt at division. The more divided people are, the more powerful the agenda-setters are. This is why what Clinton is doing is so disgraceful (although she is not shy about her intent on keeping power where it currently lies).

At least the Republicans came together over their nominee. At this important time in our history, the Republicans know that they have no issues to run on, and so we have people like Rush Limbaugh and his "Operation Chaos", Clinton and her guilt-by association politics, and Gibson and his lesbian remarks dividing the electorate into fragments favorable to their cause (is it any wonder all the radical right-wingers are supporting Clinton?).

The only thing that can stop a fundamental change in our nation's politics is our own ignorance and inability to see these forces of division for what they are - the corporate sector protecting their own bottom line.
