I usually cringe watching these kinds of endorsements, but Hanks was great. He comes across as honest, down to earth, and concerned. He's another calm sensible voice added to the growing chorus of those who support Obama.

That Tom Hanks, he a brother from another planet--not just another pretty face. He knows what's up with the what and shows in the span of 30 seconds how he gets it. Totally. Entirely. Uniquely, though hopefully not singularly.

The best and brightest minds are rightfully inspired and justly motivated along with our better angels to save this democracy insofar as it can be saved from the self-serving greed and ignorance that's tearing it down and threatening to take the world economy, civility and environment down with it.

Calling all angels. Calling all angels.

I'm John Ross and I approve of this AND Mr. Hanks' celebrity endorsement.

Tom Hanks may be an actor, but he has respect. He speaks well. Have you heard Fran Drescher (The Nanny) on Larry King. She barely lets anyone talk....just like a Hillary supporter.

Tom is respected, and his words on this endorsement are respectable.

Its the words that Obama supporters say. And its about good judgement, respect for all, unity, leadership..no lies, pandering, false hopes. Need I go on.

Fran Drescher? Who cares what she thinks about ANYTHING? And Larry King actually had her as a pro-Clinton guest? Must have been worth a few laughs.

He didn't say she was on as a "pro-Clinton guest".

I think this is yet another sign of Obama's soon to be victory.
It's just a matter of time before the stars are alligned.

Obama has won by almost every factual measure.

He's won more contests, votes, states, and delegates. He's raised more money from more donors and created more organization at the grassroots registering more new voters. He has more celebrity endorsements, more newspaper endorsements, more endorsements from shared senate colleagues, and more endorsements from the people they both ran against (Dodd, Kucinich, and Richardson), and overall more web traffic.

No Obama has not sealed his nomination, he's less than 250 delegates away.
Yes Hillary is still in the race but she's got nowhere but second place to run to.

Clintonites,
Give me one factual basis for her nomination.

More big states? Fair, but not enough when stacked against the above list.

More popular vote? Well, that's not an actual fact and also not the stated measure for victory. 2025 delegates is the measure.

The republicans will get Obama? Well that's true but they're gonna get her real good too.

But? But? But? I know, I know, it's a weekend and the Clinton Spin Machine is a little light on talking points. Well tomorrow it's Monday and Wolfson and the rest will have something interesting for ya'll to spew. Just be sure to post here any of it that actually turns out to be a true fact.

This assertion out of the Clinton camp that winning big states in a primary means she will win the general is just total twisted crap. There is not a scintilla of evidence that winning a state's primary means that you'll carry that state in the general. However, THIS election most likely could see that that in fact is what will happen simply because whomever gets the Dem nomination will win in November because the electorate is about to bust a blood vessel to vote for the way out of the Republican mess.

Republicans hate actor endorsements. They love actor candidates and presidents. Republicans are dumb as doorknobs.

Tom Hanks is a brilliant actor, which means he's a brilliant man. You can close your eyes to who he is and he still makes sense.

Good on ya' Tom!

Hanks is a good endorsement for Obama Because it Helps him with the older crowd...The WW2 vets love Tom and he is actually fairly conservative and unabashedly "patriotic" so maybe this will shut up the flag pin crowd.

Has the Clinton campaign already declared that Tom Hanks is out of touch ? All who have endorsed Obama have been throwing under the bus.

Thank you Mr. Hanks for your vote and thank you for seeing beyond the media and the right wing's bigotry. You have obviously done your research on Sen. Obama and you voted accordingly.

The fact that you bloggers are going back and at each other over your candidates ability to run this country, proves that we are headed for another 8 years of Bush politics. Oh, but you're willing to allow it if your candidate doesn't get the nomination. How childish is that? Do you people realize that our kids, husbands, father, mothers, brothers, sisters, friends are being slaughtered in this senseless war. Do you even care? Apparently, you haven't lost anyone close to you, because if you had you would ensure that the Repub's do not take over the White House again. Put your bigotry aside or we will most definitely have another 9/11. Bush is bating Iran as we speak and they are talking about retaliating, but you're so busy spewing your bigotry over the web that you probably haven't heard or seen the news about it. Maybe, that what you people want another 9/11, because that seemed to be the only time we all pulled together and the color of a person's skin didn't matter. You needed each others help then to survive. How sad is that? Let's just get back to the issues at hand, which is our economy, jobs, cost of living, Iraq, Iran, China, Pakistan, Russia, North & South Korea.
