Cazayoux Win

The Hill:

House Democrats continued to expand their majority Saturday night after Louisiana state Rep. Don Cazayoux emerged victorious in a special election for retired Rep. Richard Baker's (R) district.

The win comes two months after Democrats picked up their first seat of the year. In March, Democrat Bill Foster won the Illinois seat of former House Speaker Dennis Hastert (R). That seat, like the Louisiana contest, was in solidly Republican areas. President Bush carried the Illinois district with 55 percent and the Louisiana district with 59 percent in 2004.

Is there anything Bush has touched that hasn't turned to (s)hit? Anything? That it took this long for Americans to recognize the obvious gives me little hope they will be smart enough to keep Obama once he is President. (And he will be President)

Maybe the Texas Rangers, they didn't fall completely apart until after he left...Texas is still standing (Thank God, without them Coloradoans wouldn't have someone to commiserate with).

Pants? He'd better make sure he has his Depend "Super Plus" Absorbency Underwear! They will be a prerequisite for any/all debates with the O man!

Mission Accomplished my (a)ss. Bush is a lying sack of (s)hit! Chimpy will go down in infamy as the worst president ever in the history of the US and probably one of the worst leaders in the history of the world. What really puzzles me as that there are still people that believe this nut.

The Republican party and George W. Bush said Mission Accomplished in Iraq! Yeah it was Mission Accomplished alright......translation........Your lives will NEVER be the same!

Its actually mission impossible. They knew it from the beginning, but led the soldiers to death and destruction. We have over 4,000 soldiers dead, and tens of thousand of soldiers maimed or wounded. You are right. Their lives will never be the same.

Rev. Wright asked God to (damn) America. The Republican Party carried out the sentence.

Hell has no fury like an actual, honest Republican (this will be the only time I'll use the correct term until my conditions are met), who realizes that his party has been hijacked by a bunch of drunken college chums with all the intelligence of a syphilitic East German border guard.

I understand that there are things that probably keep defcon360 out of the Democratic Party but if he's ever of a mind, the tent flap is open, we'll welcome him with open arms.

I hope that this signals the beginning of the total disintegration of the repulican party, I can think of nothing better than to see them go down in flames.

Rep. Cazayoux,

This country needs your leadership. Set a good example.

Tell Pelosi to put impeachment on the table.

Impeachment will not pass the Senate and then because of double jeopardy, Bush will never be brought to trial for his sins.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 02:11 AM on 05/04/2008

The failure to convict in the Senate would not trigger Double Jeopardy.

The only penalty is removal from office. That is not a criminal prosecution.

Whoa! I guess Obama is just what that Republican attack machine was looking for. The Democrats better think twice before they consider endorsing Obama otherwise they'll could end up extending their advantage in the House and the Senate.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I must finish drinking my Obama Kool Aid.

By the way how did Hillary's horse do in the Derby?

Common sense. What an unheard of radical concept. Why would we ever want to try that for once? Sounds scary. Too simple and naive.

This solid dem win in a GOP district totally proves that the RNC's attempts to paint Obama as a negative influence in ads utterly failed. Attacking Obama may have actually backfired with voters. It also negates Clinton's argument that Obama would not be a good addition to the top of the dem ticket. If anything having Obama as our dem nominee will ensure victory in Nov.
