And the race goes on. Hey! Howard better do something, because Hillary will winn the next 4 primaries. Kentucky, oragon, West Virginia By double digits, and Puerto Rico by double digits, and I would say maybe Kentucky by double digits. Yet you may not want to do anything, because Hillary is the only one that can beat McCain.

Oh yeah.... that's right. Why didn't I think of that? Let's all vote for the liar with bad judgment on things like wars and the economy because we think we think that the liar with bad judgment will win. And why do we think the liar with bad judgment will win? Because America is mostly bigoted. That's what I call voting with your principles people! If everyone would stop speculating and just vote for the smart candidate with good judgment and a motivating personality we would have the best person for the job.

Today will be a wash. Obama will eke out a victory, and Hillary will kill him in Indiana, the neighboring state to Obama go figure, a southern state voting for a black man, and a Northern state voting for a white woman. Status quo.

Hey there--

Interesting view from the other side of the "reality divide". Seeing that Senator Obama actually didn't even lose Indiana by 2% (currently, he is behind by 0.8%) I would say it didn't go so swimmingly well. Whoops, Raymondf!

GOP Gleeful at Obama rocky period

By LIZ SIDOTI –

WASHINGTON (AP) — Republicans can hardly contain their glee as they watch Barack Obama battle through a rocky period. And why should they?

Nothing else is breaking the GOP's way this year. But, at least now, the Democrats' political phenom is tarnished, and, if he defeats Hillary Rodham Clinton for the Democratic nomination, he will enter the general election campaign not only bruised and battered — but also carrying baggage as he faces Republican John McCain.

"We've had a rough couple of weeks. I won't deny that," Obama said Friday.

The Illinois senator has repeatedly had to address — and repudiate — the ranting of his bombastic former pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright. Obama has continued facing questions about his relationship with indicted Chicago businessman Antoin "Tony" Rezko. The candidate's patriotism has been questioned. So has his readiness.

On the eve of a critical Pennsylvania primary, Obama caught flak for claiming that small-town folks are bitter and thus cling to guns and religion. Then he turned in a lackluster debate performance. He ended up losing that primary to Clinton in part because he didn't attract enough white, working-class voters.

Now he finds himself in the midst of competitive contests in two more states. Losses Tuesday in Indiana and North Carolina would further weaken him. Even if he manages to hold off Clinton in those and the final primary contests, Obama would essentially limp to the nomination.

This might be Obama's Rocky period, but it's also the GOP's Ivan Drago period.

We have so much ammunition to go against John McCain that the man can not win. Even with the republican media and party backing McCain his flip-flopping, and cow towing and kissing republican no-good morons has tarnished his phony persona. McWar is McStupid, McEvil, McOld, McMean, McBully, McVindictive, McSenile and McHateful.

Based on what? The positions of Obama and Clinton are almost identical, with very few exceptions. If your point is that you believe that Hillary cannot beat McCain, you are bucking against just about all of the polls which say otherwise. She is ahead of Obama when paired up against McCain. For example, Realclearpolitics:

RCP Average
Obama
46.0
McCain
45.0
Obama +1.0

General Election: McCain vs. Clinton
RCP Average
Clinton
47.6
McCain
44.1
Clinton +3.5

As the weeks drag into months people will stop denying that something is wrong with John McCain, that he is prone to more and more "senior moments" and he suffers from untreated PTSD and he's a hothead misogynist who wants to blow up everybody, so even staunch McCain supporters will realize their candidate is f*cking nuts and they will vote for Obama because they will finally get it that Obama's former pastor is nuts, not Obama.

Agree. She's with McCain on:
the pandering Gas tax
Going into Iraq
Ramping up to attack Iran
Shifting positions and telling people what they want to hear.
And she's with Bush on being stubborn in the face of facts, never accepting responsibility or admitting fault, and dismissing experts.
She starts most sentences with "I believe..." just like Bush. When confronted with the fact that no economist thinks the gas tax holiday is a good idea, she just said, "I'm not going to listen to a bunch of elitists"..
THEM's REPUBLICAN words....
The Goldwater Girl returns...

Obama's up by 7 in NC, and Hillary by 5 in IN (down from 6 earlier) according to latest RCP averages.

But due to the Bradley factor, Obama's vote will be less.

But then there is also the other factor - don't know what it's called but it's practical political sense. And it will tell most voters that you can't put someone like Hillary Clinton at the top of your presidential ticket if you want to win. She is just to divisive, negative, controversial, etc.

So maybe this factor and Bradley will cancel each other out.

Unfortunately, so many Obama supporters, are not interested in the facts; they are only interested with that which compliments their infatuation. For example, prior to Obama's candidacy, most Democrats were of the opinion that Bill Clinton was one of the best, perhaps the best, president since FDR. But, that idea got in Obama's way. He couldn't have the reputation of his opponent’s husband thwart his ambitions, therefore, with carefully orchestrated race cards and lies of all sorts, he has systematically attempted to destroy the legacy of Bill Clinton and his administration. This is Obama's modus operandi; he destroys all that stands in his way. Before he is finished, he will have destroyed the unity of the Democratic Party; he will have set race relations back 50 years; and he will have destroyed the Democratic Party's chance to win the general election and with it, America's chance to recover from the terrible reign of George Bush. But, I guess to him, all these concerns are secondary to his insatiable and ruthless ambition. To see how he stabbed his friend and political mentor in the back to obtain his first elective office, go to this link: ***** http://tinyurl.com/2zwwte

Are you serious? "Obama destroys all that stands in his way." You're not serious are you? Name one thing that was "ruthless" and compare that against just about anything Hillary has done and maybe I'll believe you have more than two brain cells in your skull.

$15 million in debt, scaring white voters by mentioning Farrakhan at the debate, using Osama Bin Laden and the possibility of terrorist attacks at 3am. If Obama had "ruthless ambition" he would've been using these tactics himself but he took the high road. The problem is that nice guys normally finish last and if he losses N.C. (he'll probably lose Indiana but not by much) it will be his lack of ruthlessness that will cost him the nomination.

You have got to be kidding! She is divisive, Give me a break, i have seen more separatism between the races with Obama running as in many a yr. He is the deciever, everything about her has been told and went over with a fine tooth comb, but Obama people dont care what comes up about their little Senator from Illinois. The man doesnt have a clue how to be the president, and people keep saying she has a sense of entitlement, well im sorry, it seems to me Obama is the one with the sense of entitlement. Like its owed to him to be president because he is Black, come on. He hasnt even been in politics that long, The leaders of the terrorist will chew him up and spit him out. But of course they probably wont have too, because i think he has too many terrorist friends, and has a different agenda for America than his followers kno, that is becauabout her policy than they do the person they are voting for. Likdont know what his policies are and what he plans to do if he gets elected. I think its going to be Black or White if he is elected. Mostly Whites, but some Blacks too that dont agree with his viewpoint. And there are a lot of them.

Yes, I've notice the overstating, also. It doesn't surprise me, though. Until recently, the corporate owned media has been giving Obama a free pass, much like they protected George Bush for so long. It appears that, with regard to the polls, the point is to generate some momentum for Obama, by making it look like he is performing better than he really is.

For you Hillary fans, remember that she has tried to survive on analgesics and mild diuretics to the kidneys.

Seriously, she looks fit, robust, rosy cheeked and probably off the overdoses of botox that
made her look goofy a couple of months ago. I hope she stays healthy.

But her vile, vulgar, lying ways would make her a disastrous president. Worse than Bush in terms of emotionalism and corruption in the White House.

She meant well, once, but has lost her soul and should stop trying to destroy the Party.

Wake up, gas is never going to be cheap again. We need it high so we can come up with the will to create alternatives. Did you think oil and clean air with CO2 in it would last forever?
I can't afford gas prices either, but a paradigm shift is coming no matter what these people tell you. Obama is still being honest despite all the attacks. Don't you get that? Why would he not go along with the gimmicks? Maybe because he thinks we are adults and should be able to handle the truth. Suck it up, it's going to be tough no matter who gets elected. He is willing to change things before it's too late, are you?

My husband just walked in and said that CNN (Clinton Network News) is reporting that the latest polling from IN shows Clinton 48, Obama 44 (6:30 p.m. Pacific Time). This is good coming from CNN, and it bears out what Kos is reporting, that is, that the polls are moving in Obama's favor in IN. I am not counting on an upset, but the closer he gets, the better 'tis. And the reverse for NC, of course. Kos doesn't think it will even be close there.

It was in the Reagan years that I cancelled my registration in the Democratic party. It was because many Democrats had voted for Reagan and I didn’t want to have anything to do with a party whose members would vote for a guy who encouraged the rise of the Religious Right and, in many ways, marginalized minorities.

I have never regretted my decision. The correctness of my decision is reinforced again now watching how many Democrats are tearing apart a good man, a decent man, driven either by ugly racial hatred, or at least willing to take advantage of racial divide in our country. It is despicable.

When this primary season started, I had ranked the candidates. I had ranked Obama as #4 and Hillary as #9 (dead last). After the rest dropped out, I started supporting Obama, mainly because I found him much better than Hillary on war and foreign policy issues.

Now, as Obama is being smeared by the Right Wing and by Hillary Democrats, my commitment to Obama has doubled. That is my instictive reaction as a progressive to always side with those being unfairly maligned. In this case, it is a highly deserving, bright and decent Black man being unfairly attacked by the Right and by Democrats who should be ashamed of calling themselves Democrats.

Good post.

I think the underlying logic of the Clinton camp now, when they talk about "electibility", alludes to racism. What they really mean is quite cynical - that a black man cannot be elected president of this country. It preys on the worst in us, and they are busy stirring it up in subtle ways. Racist fears, and fears of racism all in one. It's a cheap game to play. Why else would she go on O'Reilly to talk about Rev. Wright?

They are wrong. The country is ready for change.

I stayed out of politics until I saw what the Bushes did to this country. I missed the Clinton prosperity, peace years. Would we had a 911 if Gore had been President?

I 'm Independent, for Dennis Kucinich.. I wanted the Clinton's back, to "fix" government to help everyone. Old , young, black, white, hispanic or asian, they were "For the people". I miss that. I am sorry so many of us didn't vote in the primaries, we assumed Hillary would win . Kucinich told his base to vote for Obama in Iowa, support spiraled.

I decided to find out about this "too white" candidate until it turned racist. Then it was is he black enough? Then he WAS black & I watched people bash Clinton over an unknown. I watched the Clinton black base go crazy over him, & the students, then parentts. ??? A young, charismatic, multi-racial, educated man. He mimicked Clinton, learned, but hemmed & hawed during direct contact. blinked alot, looked down, skirted around ssues.

Why were people so enchanted with him? Ohhh, the speeches, like Phiadelphia. But, why didn't he address the issue? This was suddenly ALLabout race! Why so concerned about race now? Ohhhh.... Now he's getting most of the black vote. And that pesky mentor Rev. Wright is back. Now even alot of the black christian vote is up in arms. Clinton is getting bashed harder Millions of people wished they voted in the primaries, & Millions more have buyers remorese. What to do,

Where is Bill Murray? We need him chanting "It just doesn't matter" because it just doesn't matter. It's a sad testament when supporters of a candidate are so blinded by their passion that they demonize anyone who dares to point out reality - Hillary cannot win the nomination. Michigan and Florida aren't going to revote. Even if there is some agreement to seat those delegates, the agreement will be based on the premise of not changing the current delegate split. You can argue the merits one way or another, but you can also run head first into a wall repeatedly and it will have the same effect. Most likely, the remaining states will split their delegates almost evenly. And if the remaining uncommitted superdelegates split evenly, that gives the Obama enough for the nomination. Don't bother arguing about it. This is not a pro-Obama point. It's just plain reality.

Yes, we should not have a revote. Why should a couple of million voters have any say in this process. Bush didn't care about the voters, why should we? Let's just stop it now, before any more voters have their say. It is much more convenient.

Florida and Michigan violated the rules. That's why their votes don't count.

If I insist on violating the rules and drop my vote in a garbage can, rather than in a ballot box, do I have the right to have my vote counted?

Of course the Bush-Gore situation has no relevance here because that was a matter of recounting of votes following a legitimate election. That you are throwing in just to confuse the issue, and you know it.

The traditional media needs to continue the charade that there is actually a race on here. When in actuality, there is no way that Hillary can secure the nomination, unless the superdelegates hand it to her.

And the idea of that happening is becoming increasingly merely a matter of wishful thinking. As of now, Obama has received 3 new superdelegates today:

The Baltimore Sun reports that two more superdelegates have endorsed Barack Obama for President...

The chairman and vice-chairman of the Maryland Democratic Party are throwing their support behind Sen. Barack Obama on the eve of Tuesday's primaries in Indiana and North Carolina, giving the Illinois senator at least two additional superdelegates.Obama only needs 273 more delegates to secure the nomination.

WWII, Nazis goosestepping their way through predominantly Catholic Europe. Did the Pope intervene? Was Germany a predominantly Catholic country? Yes. Were the Nazis racists? Yes. This may be a stretch, but then again......

Devout Catholic? Did you denounce and reject the Catholic church. Did you leave the Catholic church or continue to sit there for 20 years, while children were being molested. Oh wait..I know..it's ok for Catholics to knowingly sit in the church and know these horrible crimes took place, but not ok for Obama to listen to hate speeches..Um let me think: hate speeches..child molestation..which one is worse? No disrespect to you personally, but I agree with you about Hillary. She's such a hypocrite--She wanted Senator Obama to denounce and reject his pastor, she's on the record saying that she wouldn't have stayed in the church for 20 years, but Catholics haven't done anything different from Obama, yet they are flocking to her. When you compare the two: child molestation is much worse than the Wright controversy,

Your post is full of holes. The only way your position would make sense, is if the "devout Catholic" KNEW her particular priest was a continuing child molester, and the "devout catholic" stayed in the church anyway for 20 years, and considered the avowed and unrepentant child molester priest to be her "mentor and spiritual adviser." There, now that is analogous to Obama and Rev. Wright.
