The San Francisco Chronicle reprints this photo taken at an anti-immigration rally in Texas. The paper quips: "Excellent point: In Houston, a Texan protesting amnesty for illegal immigrants argues that anyone who can't master English doesn't deserve to live in America."

In my spouses native Canada, there are two official languages: English Canadian and French Canadian dialects of those European languages. There are also national languages long associated with the First Peoples, the aboriginal tribes we call Native Americans or Indians in the USA. That is it! There are hundreds of national languages in Canada. Ukrainian, Russian, Italian, Spanish Latin American and Castillian, Yiddish, Hebrew, Chinese Mandarin, Chinese Cantonese , etcc.

In the USA, you have everyone from Hawaiians and Guamanians, and American Samoans, and Spanish-speaking Puerto Ricans, or Mariana Island Micronesian, or patois in the USVI, aside from Eskimos in Alaska and the Native American tongues in the lower 48- European and Asian tongues in schools K to PhD candidacy.

The majority of these working underclass persons who hate "Mexicans" are those whose jobs have been moved first to Mexico and then to Central America and Asia. Hillary Clinton's hubby was the president who made NAFTA happen and she and her husband profit from CAFTA with Bush.
These are the same Bubba and Bubbettes who will vote for McCain and Clinton.
