Watch footage of the press conference below.

It seems to me that MSNBC were the ones continuing with the crawler and the footage. HuffPo's clip shows us from where Laura Stepford was winding up her remarks on Burma (which I can find on a globe), before fielding questions on Jenna's wedding. Believe it or not, Laura has no control as to whether a network juxtaposes images and crawlers to the subject at hand.
Oh, yes, it looks like she's had a chin tuck, another fine example of Texican authenticity!
Thank god for the Washington press corps. Maybe next week they'll ask some hard hitting questions about Hannah Montana's Vanity Fair pics.
Hang on folks. I'm a Bush hater. But watch the video for christ sake. This was NOT Laura Bush's fault. It was the idiot media, with the attention span of ADD second graders who have to go potty real bad. More & more the media is setting the sameful lows of discourse in this nation.
Maybe that is true but on the other hand should she have dismissed the questions and said that the reason for the press conference was not Jenna's wedding? Personally had I been in the same situation I would have.
I have to agree with you here. Granted MSNBC probably needed to terminate the feed when the discussion deviated to Jenna's wedding. But this is exactly the behavior of the press during this entire primary season, failing to report in depth on the critical relevant issues and deviating into spin and inneundo at the first opportunity. Second graders w/ ADHD is an excellent description and as demonstrated in this video, it doesn't take much for these guys to veer off into foolishness regardless of how grave the issue is. Thousands die in a natural disaster yet they're talking about a wedding with a limestone altar. Much like the last worthless Dem "debate" that wasted an entire hour talking about one stupid rumor after another. And unfortunately, when you have shameless politicians we can exploit this non-professionalism of the press, we end up with a wholly confused and grossly misinformed public that childishly follows its dumb leaders right into the ditch.
Those "Texans" have NO class.
Ignore Laura.
She's an idiot.
How long did you brainstorm that brilliant take?
Exactly, so what's new!
Don't count her out so quickly. In four years she may be running on all this "experience."
Don't be so hard on her. What were you expecting her to say......Really guys as much as I'd like to talk about that wonderful day, this is just not the appropriate forum......maybe a later date.
Jealous much?
i didn't see the whole interview. glad i missed the momzilla part. i was, however, embarrassed that she would so politicize a humanitarian crisis. STFU.
has she had work done? i think she's been under the knife.
Oh for gawd's sake, I dislike the Bush's as much as one possibly can, but Laura Bush was asked about the wedding at the end of her press conference....She asked if there were any more questions. There are plenty of reasons to call out the Bush's but not this...jheeez.
To everyone who actually watched the video, I commend you. I can't stomach watching a Bush anymore.
I FORCED MYSELF...
And my reaction was, yup, not doin' THAT again...
Laura needs to get off the World Stage and get back home to Stepford.
What is really sickening is the fact that for all the FAUX empathy and outrage at the First Lady found on this board, the majority of you will eat your take out pizza, eat your ice cream, not donate one penny to the people of Myanmar, and if challenged to do so couldn't even find the place on a map.
Well since I don't know the family, being invited would have come as a bit of a shock. Would I have gone? Hell yes.
No Rick, you must be referring to Rush Limpball or Ann Coulter's boards...much, much different audience here. Not only do we know how to find it on the map, we actually travel there. We're actually the ones (us *liberals*) who gave the most money, clothing, housing...to Katrina victims too. Get your facts straight -it would help if you stopped watching FOX news -you're being brainwashed.
Actually conservatives give much more to charity, you haven't given anything to anyone, and if you did listen to any objective news you would know that Rush gives more to military families than the entire "audience" of this blog combined.
No, but then we're not the First Lady holding a press conference about Myanmar, are we? Direct your anger elsewhere.
So you're point is I'm right?
Actually Jenna did a year working with children for UNICEF, and she didn't exactly have to. What have you done?
$25 dollars, for sure, for sure.
Heartless.
Botox causes brain damage, that's Laura's problem.
