David Shuster Labors To Trump Up A Clinton Gaffe

Plumbing the depths of his knowledge of auto-racing, MSNBC's David Shuster really went out of his way to stick Senator Hillary Clinton with some sort of late-primary campaign gaffe. Not sure that this attempt successfully convinced anyone other than the self-satisfied Shuster:

[WATCH.]

SHUSTER: Chris, I want you to define whether or not something that happened today was a success or failure. Hillary Clinton went to the Indianapolis raceway, the motor speedway, it's the most famous - I suppose - landmark in the Hoosier state. She was there with Sarah Fisher, who is one of the drivers who endorsed Hillary Clinton. And Senator Clinton gave this sort of sound bite where she talked about how the country needs to go forward. There's a "D" on the car, there's a "R". Everybody knows the difference between driving forward and driving in reverse. The problem is, the people who watch the Indianapolis 500 know that those race cars...they do not have a reverse on them. Futhermore there's no "D", there's no "R", you just shift it into gear. So will that then be considered a failure when people notice that sort of thing?

Uhm...I have the feeling that Indianans are sophisticated enough to understand what Clinton is trying to say. But I do think they'll "notice" that you are kind of being a Poindexter here, and they'll consider that a failure.

And David, really: "...the most famous - I suppose - landmark in the Hoosier state." You suppose? Aren't you from Bloomington?

I'm wondering why this post is taking up space on HuffP at all. It's got 90 some responses in a week or so. Great stuff disappears in a few hours sometimes and nonsense like this stays up. For what??

David Shuster is perhaps the BIGGEST a-hole on TV.


Labors to call her out on a gaffe is an UNDERSTATEMENT. He labors to smear her constantly.

Here is another example of a David "anything to smear Hillary" Shusters brilliant work....

When the Clintons realsed their tax returns, that night, shuster came on with "breaking news".

It appeared the Clintons made money with investments in Dubai. Not so unusual, but of couse, Shuster said that Hillary was a "HYPOCRIT" because in spite of this, she said she was agains the Dubai Port deal.

HUH? So, in spite of making money off of Dubai companies, Senator Clinton did NOT want them in charge of our ports. Uh, David, that sounds to me like I N T E G R I T Y.

And he wrapped up the segment by saying "That appears to be the big headling coming out of these tax returns"......and it was never mentioned again.

L O S E R who used to work for Fox News (smearing the clintons) now works for MSNBC (smearing the clintons)

I truly H A T E the man.

There's no story here Mr. Linkins. After all, Shuster reported that Obama's choice of beverage was "weird." Since when is orange juice a weird beverage? He made it sound as if Obama asked for a glass of pomegranate smoothy.

I just want to make the point that this isn't his backyard. Indiana is filled with a bunch of stupid racist hicks. I should know I grew up and live near Indianapolis and have extended family in Southern Indiana. They voted for her because they are scared of the big black man. This isn't just a generalization. I have family members on both sides of the aisle this way.

Oh yes, knowing about the racecar gears is SO important in order to be President -- isn't it?

Gee, I mean I could never vote for her now, knowing that she does not know this most necessary information!

Sure am glad Mr. Schuster filled me in on that! Would have hated to support Clinton, not knowing that she was in the dark about this most urgent of issues!
