Fox Anchor Jodi Applegate Set To Announce Shocking Family Secret ON AIR

The New York Post's Michael Starr reports that Jodi Applegate, former MSNBC and NBC personality and veteran of local morning broadcasts across the country (including New York's "Good Day New York," where she currently anchors) is set to announce a shocking family secret on the air tomorrow:

Applegate's mother, Margaret, died in 1981 of breast cancer when Jodi was only 17. When she passed away, a family secret was supposed to have gone with her.

"In late 1963, she found herself pregnant and not married, which was a real scandal in those days, especially if you were Irish-Catholic," says Applegate, especially in Wheeling, W. Va.

"She hid her pregnancy, disappeared for several months and returned with a baby she said she'd gotten at an orphanage.

"She said, 'I'm going to keep her and adopt her' . . . It was a story that allowed her to live in that town and go to that church."

Applegate grew up believing she was adopted. Eventually, her mother married, but never had any more children.

With all due respect to Ms. Applegate, I find it ironic that it was the brand of "family values" promoted by FOX News and the Republican party which they shill for, which turned the blessed event of her birth into a "shocking family secret" that was the source of decades of guilt and shame for the rest of her mother's life. But please, let's try to keep the debate respectful and show Ms. Applegate's late mother the dignity and respect that she was denied by the likes of her daughter's employers.

I don't know what the secret could be, but people are assuming she's got black blood running through her veins, very few white Americans whose ancestors were in this country before slavery, don't have a few drops of African or American Indian blood. Perhaps the recent white immigrants since World War I, don't. The reason Jody would confess is not because of Barbara WAWA, but because of Obama, how proud she must be to have the blood of the mixed next probable president of the US. Chris Mathews of MSNBC said that Catholics were culturally conservative, this was in relation to why the Catholic vote in PA was against Obama.
I'm not really sure of what he means by culturally conservative?
But it seems to me (I'm agnostic) that Catholics will stay with a parish for years knowing that the Priest has been accused of child molestation, and Catholics clinging to faith would raise young girls that feel they need to fabricate a story so they can keep their child, they had out of wedlock.
What a screwed up morality.

I'm curious about something - can people pay HP to post stories about them or their clients here? Does anyone really know for sure that isn't being done? Has their financial records ever been made public?

They have about a thousand stories about the new SATC movie and they have a story about "The View" every day and they constantly have stories like this. The only way it makes sense is if people are being paid for this.
