Penn Jillette Makes Hillary "White B*tch" Joke On MSNBC, Joe & Mika Condemn Him

This morning on MSNBC, magician Penn Jillette repeated an admittedly "cheesy" joke that performed really well on a recent tour — that Barack Obama did well in February because it was Black History Month and Hillary Clinton did well in March because it was "White Bitch Month."

Jillette used the joke to underscore his point that there is a huge reserve of hatred out there for Hillary, but anchors Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough were not amused and did not appreciate his comment. Watch as he repeats the joke and then is condemned by Mika and Joe, with Mika saying, "I didn't think it was funny, and I gotta tell you, with all the work Hillary Clinton is doing, I'm insulted, actually."

There is nothing wrong with Penn exercising his right to say whatever he wants. The larger issue is why HRC is called names or why her appearance (hair or clothes) is talked about. I am not an HRC supporter, but I just do not understand why she is held to a different standard and criticized over non-issues because she is a woman.

She is not running a campaign any differently then any other old school politician, yet she gets called the "B" word. There are so many other words that can be used to voice opposition to the way a campaign may be run, but comments against her smack of misogyny.

If Bill Clinton were running for office, using the same tactics HRC’s campaign has used, would he be called a B$%^&? No, they would give him accolades for his tactics.

Is there really a double standard?

If you're a mean tough man, you're a bastard... if you're a mean tough woman you're a bitch.

I've been hearing this "if you're a man" argument for years, and yet here, in this election, when Hillary shed a tear in New Hampshire and people thought it would make her seem too weak, it actually revived her campaign.

And since then, when she's been tough as nails, that seems to have worked for her too.

Good for her that these tactics work, but can we please stop hearing that woman can't be this or that without being judged.

On the other hand, Obama gets criticized for being so cool and free-of-anger. They say he's not tough. But he's a black man. If he came on too tough, he'd look like a bully and he'd scare people.

I think the problem is that people don't know what tough really is. They think it's big blustery words. Righteous indignation. Wrattling your sabre, even though the sabre you're rattling is actually the lives of other people who do your fighting for you.

Being honest when it's not popular... that's my idea of being tough.

I understand that he went by Barry while he was growing up and in college and then only later in life did he switch to his full name - but what meaning do you derive from that?

I'm still curious about the significance of spelling certain words with a “K” instead of a “C”. I don’t think that it’s merely because Slappy is sub-literate (although I’m sure that’s a factor).

99% of humor is context and timing. Most people in America feel that Hillary truly fits the definition of the "B" word; hence the response that Penn recieved. Didn't Hitlary recently quote Harry Truman saying "if you can't stand the heat stay out of the kitchen?" If she didn't fit the description so well I don't think the joke would have had that much traction.
