Liked it, Loved it. Its so funny that this primary election has come down to what the regan democrats think. The so called regan democrats are just that. Self indentified democrats who have voted republican in the last few presidential elections. These are the same people wo voted for Bush, twice. In fact, Bill Clinton won the presidency in '92 without the majority of the support from the so-called regan democrates. Remember, thats why Hillary said "Screw 'em, you dont need them." Bill on because he had the majority of African- American support. The regan democrats are not loyal to the democratic party. Lets all not buy into this argument presented by the main stream media that says that white lunch bucket voters dont like Obama. They like him plenty, thats why he is ahead in delagates, states won, oh yeah and the popular vote.

I make hip hop myself, and I probably know some people that know this dude, it seems like he threw it up pretty quickly, can't nitpick too much, he wasn't dissing Hillary, using the "it was a good day" sample was blatant and clever, I'm a lyric fan and there wasn't much there. Fab Five Freddy was in it, can't hate on that, even though he probably wasn't a Reagan democrat. Overall good show!!

Well, the intentions behind it are good; that's what matters.

I'm all for Obama, but that song was bad. One of the most annoying things I've ever heard. About one line of lyrics and that guys voice is almost as annoying as Hillary's.

I am a middle age white lady but if this helps the young want to vote I am all for it!
02:35 PM on 05/06/2008
Honestly?

You really want people electing a President based on how much they liked a campaign song?

What kind of government would we have, if only those able to produce a killer hit song got elected?

Do you really want to live in the United Shizzle of Amizzle?
03:22 PM on 05/06/2008
I think you need to take this into the context of L.A. That's how it rolls here. And yeah, it's good that the song at least encourages people to vote.
04:55 PM on 05/06/2008
It's not like the Obama campaign made this song. Lighten up.
12:12 PM on 05/06/2008
oh my. i really don't know what to say. i'm sure i'll end up having that song stuck in my head. i'll probably make up a version for my dog (he'll enjoy it).

ok, co-workers are officially pissed w/ me for "wasting their time" with that video. they haven't seen pissed off yet - we're going out for drinks in a few minutes... guess what i'll be singing?
11:49 AM on 05/06/2008
I'm sorry, but that was bad. It had the production quality of something from the '80s.

I think that was the intent, production quality that is.

I think the production was great!

The song, on the other hand... not so good. The music was alright, but just the guys voice and the repetition was really annoying.
10:20 AM on 05/06/2008
Dang that took it back! I loved it, it was upbeat, it didn't put Hillary down... I was just fun and also bringing awareness to voting. I was the perfect combo of support, awareness, and fun... What else can I say?
09:33 AM on 05/06/2008
That was truly an uninspiring video. "Celebrities" are more often liabilities to a candidate.
09:27 AM on 05/06/2008
OOOO...um...will i am gets my vote.

Go ahead in those boots ladies.

How many , working-class Reagan democrats do you think will bring into the Obama camp? Obama already has the endorsement of the most left liberals that this group of voters hates

MoveOn.org
Michael Moore
Jane Fonda

Now you want to add hip hop artists to the mix and think it will expand his base of support any further.

Good luck with that.
09:20 AM on 05/06/2008
This country doesn't consist of just "working class Democrats" so what's your point?

People who love Rap/Hip-Hop vote just like anyone else.

That's about as dumb as someone saying "Rascal Flats made a John McCain video...we will see how many Hispanic voters that picks up"...

Try Again.
10:34 AM on 05/06/2008
the point is that this video is singing to the choir, the people who already support Obama. And, if this type of video gets play in the mainstream it will just further alienate the audience that Obama needs to expand his base of support.
09:34 AM on 05/06/2008
reagan 'democrats' are too conservative.
12:35 PM on 05/06/2008
Liberal = Caring about others as well as yourself (Liberating others)
Democrat = An ACTUAL Democrat wants wealth to be shared.

Conservative = Less willing to share with others (Conserving what they have)

Reagan Democrat = Someone who wants some freedoms but also wants to make a ton of mony off of the sweat of those paid much less.

Bottom line - NEVER take the advice of a greedy person, EVER! It's not in YOUR best interest - only theirs.

I love how people from all walks are coming out for Obama in their own way.

It's funny. I've heard some of Sa-Ra's stuff and I thought it was pretty cool, but housing up "Today Was a Good Day" with a really weird hook wasn't the best of moves. If Will.I.Am's video is the standard that other Obama support videos should be judged, then this one failed miserably. Even though it was cool to see Jay-Z and Kanye in the video, I'm a little disappointed they haven't written a song specifically for the campaign season. Hip Hop is a natural medium for socio-political movements and there is hardly any movemet bigger than this one for Obama that I've seen in my lifetime.
