Madonna partied like it was 2003 at a concert Tuesday night in Paris. Swigging champagne, the material mom kissed a lady mid-act, in a move reminiscent of her lip lock with Britney Spears at the MTV awards in the summer of 2003. Madonna is currently promoting her new album "Hard Candy." Scroll for pictures and a 2003 flashback.

Catch Madonna in her new live-action capture on MSNBC's "To Catch a Predator"!

Okay, that was wrong of me to say. I just don't know what to think of Madonna, but I really liked her first album...with Lucky Star, and the movie Desperately Seeking Susan. I was in Highschool then.
I sported the striped navy 3/4 sleeve striped shirts, Pixie haircut and faded jeans look when she was in her "Papa Don't Preach" prime, (I was told I looked Awesommmme) and that was a fun time for me....from what I remember during sober moments. But, I'm sure as she's checking her bank account online from....oh, a terrace in Nice, France or someplace, she's really not that worried about what people say about her, think about her, or feel about her, unless they are really really important to her. Well, time to get ready to go out for Mom's Day....whooowhooooo! Happy Mother's Day, Madonna! And all you Mothers out there!!!!

There comes a time..I don't care how good she looks, if you're 50 w/a teen aged kid, you're too old for this and not relevant to youth culture. There are many other directions if she wants yet another reinvention, but the real question is why she's so determined to keep appealing to people a third her age? The water is fine out here in the real grown up world.

I guess the public will tell her she is too old when they stop buying her music....give it up... like Sting, Eric Clapton ,Prince, move along, age is not the issue.

What is the deal here? Maybe like one part of her always wanted to be a porn star, but the music seems to keep getting in the way, darn it. Bill Maher said it best, "Someone should tell her there's a three decade limit on dressing like a prostitute"( I think he used another term but I would rather not).

Bill Maher is older than Madonna and would f--k any thing....I love him, but he can be a real sexist with his real time

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 01:19 AM on 05/10/2008

She just needs to come out with a porno and be done with it. Not that I would watch such a thing...but it's a good idea non the less.

Holy cow I posted the above before reading your comment. I've been saying for years that she confuses me because she seems to be pulling biological levers that one normaly associates with pornography. pornography should be left pure, not polluted by mediocre pop music.

Normally, when I see two lipstick lesbians making out, I take notice. :) but when one of them is madonna, I feel the need to vomit bile.

I think she looks great! But I am definitiely not a fan and think her talent musically is very meager. She does know how to promote herself though - that is her real talent.

cyguy and CowgirlAmy, its nice that Madonna has such rabid fans. What the heck does Mariah Carey have to do with this topic? I will say that both singers are very popular, but I don't care for either of them. Not my kind of music so it doesn't matter to me if Madonna's albums are #1 every week forever; I still won't care about her. I didn't like her when she first appeared and I don't like her now. She has always been more of a performance artist than a musician, IMO. Musicians don't need to constantly change their look; their music speaks for itself. Without videos, Madonna's career would have ended a couple decades ago. The advent of MTV coincided with the end of most good music. Everybody had to look good and have a gimmick to get any airplay. Instead of concert videos where we got to see musicians playing their instruments, we got dumb storylines that rarely reflected what the songs were about, but there were lots of scantily clad women and sex sells. Madonna has always pandered to that and marketed herself very successfully. Doesn't mean everybody enjoys her, her music, or her persona.

You wish! Her fellow musicians know how talented she is. Her music is good that is why she is still around. People liked her well before her first video.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 08:05 AM on 05/09/2008

I don't "wish" anything regarding Madonna.

I don't care about other people's opinion of her talents. Why would it matter to me if I don't care for her kind of music.

I liked the "Minnie Mouse on Helium" reference. Wish I could remember who first said that back in the '80s.

MTV & Madonna were made for each other.

Her fellow musicians? If they are her peers, they hardly qualify as musicians. She knows how to promote herself. That is a talent but not a musical one. If you consider her music good, your deprivation is indeed a cause for sadness.

In any case, why is Madonna French-kissing women when she's married to Guy Ritchie? I don't see Guy Ritchie going around French-kissing men. Looks like Madonna and Guy are in an unequal relationship where female bisexuality is OK but male bisexuality isn't/ Typical liberal double standard.....

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 11:24 PM on 05/08/2008

Hmmm... could it be because HE'S NOT BISEXUAL? Or maybe he's enjoying the same women as his wife? Stranger things do happen. And it's not just liberals who indulge in sexual pleasures, in case you didn't know.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 11:40 PM on 05/08/2008

Actually, I remember when they first married. There were rampant rumors that he was bisexual.

Didn't you know, only liberals have sex other than the missionary position. In fact, wasn't it a bunch of liberals who got caught soliciting sex in an airport restroom, texting underage pages, having meth fueled gay sex while at the same time being pastor of a megachurch where you spend your whole time bashing that very behavior....oh wait.....nevermind.

It's really getting sad at this point, its time to give it up. Isn't everything onto madonna's act of doing things just to shock people and get attention to try to sell records? its like the older lady at the bar who is too old to be getting wasted and having sex with strangers, madonna is now this "old whore" people look at and feel sorry for.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 11:23 PM on 05/08/2008

I don't think so. She still looks much better than most 25-year-olds. I also don't think people feel sorry for her. I understand her newest video (or whatever they call them now) is #1.

you have got to be kidding....I don't remember this kind of commentary about the Rolling Stones..what a bunch on nonsence about age...or is it just female age?

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 01:51 AM on 05/09/2008

Many people have been commenting on the Rolling Stones old age grandpa tours for years...since about '81 - how they were washed up, not contributing anything worthwhile or relevant as far as new music since '78 and were just selling out stadiums because they were and are still able to get away with it. If people are still willing to shell out the bucks, they obviously will take the money and keep padding their already enormous wealth.

No that would be Mariah Carey whoring herself first to Tommy Motola then to Nick Cannon because her latest single is flopping.

In other news, Madonna sold a million downloads of her single and went to #1 in 29 countries before she ever kissed that girl. Soooo, in spite of everything you know, in spite of knowing that Madonna has never needed to shock to sell records( it actually hurt her sales when she is controversial). Her music sells because, get this, its good and people like it! Oh but you're right, all those millions in every country on earth bought her new one because she kissed a girl on stage. Yeah, thats it!

Here is a Rolling Stone 5 star review of Like A Prayer. Its not the full review, in which they call the album as close to art as music gets( you can search the site for that part). They also talk about how good of a singer she has become, full of the kind of emotion most singers dream of having. They talk about how great her songwriting is. How much of a true artist she is. Read it and weep. Then read some more.

I liked "Like a Prayer" I thought it was one of her better albums along with Ray of Light.

That "girl" is 29 years old! LOL.

I see the usual assortment of Madonna haters from the Mariah Carey forum( I know exacty who all of you are---you really shouldn't brag about doing this on her forum). Madonna is kicking her tail all over the place and you all resort to the usual lies( like the liar Mariah). No shock. You are all about as bright as Mariah which is to say, a few watts short of pitch black.

Anyhoo, its amusing to see you ( and all the aliases) feigning revultion. All the while Madonna just keeps on racking up the hits, breaking records and enjoying her critically acclaimed new album being #1 everywhere! Sasweet!

Stop thinking everyone on this board is a Mariah looney.. because they aren't. Her music is much worse than Madonna's!! Touch my body!! Bwhahahahhahahha

You may not be, but they are in fact here in droves( they are talking about it on her official forum).

The fact that you spend QUALITY TIME out our life actually on a Mariah Carey MESSAGE BOARD shows how trite your opinions are. REALLY GROW UP,evolve past the age of an emotionally stunted 16 year old girl and start listening to GREAT FEMALE ARTISTS like Kate Bush, Joni Mitchell, Jolie Holland, Cat Power, Aretha Franklin, Nina Simone, Patti Smith, Joanna Newsom, Janis Joplin, Laura Nyro, Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, Koko Taylor, Ruth Brown, Bjork, Exene Cervenka, Nina Hagen, Diamanda Galas, Ani DiFranco, Fiest, Kim and Kelly Deal; and 1 million more with more soul in each of their pinkies than Madonna and Mariah have in their entire overly exposed bodies. And I'm not a prude, i'm just bored with people who have to show sexiness because they can't emote through their own music.

This is utterley revolting and the parents of that young girl should press charges. This is so despicable, she thinks that she is untouchable just because of who she is. She should be ashamed of herself! Give up Madonna and go home and look after your children. And your husband, if you still have one! I have never seen anyone so full of themselves, this is utterley sick!

Madonna props up the sleazy straight male fetish for "girl-on-girl" action. It's the only way she can get the attention of grubby hetero males at the media organizations. She's being dumped by the gay community because of this.

By removing certain posts, usually ones which are critical of Madonna and her pandering to male heterosexual fantasy, Huffington Post is showing that it's in the censorship game. I've always thought that liberals were in the business of censorship.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 07:52 PM on 05/08/2008

hetero male fantasy is not the only fantasy that Madonna appeals to. There are scenes from several of her tours (I am a huge fan- I own most of the videos) where there is not only girl on girl "action", but guy on guy and hetero. In fact, during her "Girlie Show" tour, there is one scene where there is a simulated "orgy" that features ALL of it at once.

And don't forget, If you don't like the show, nobody is forcing you to buy the tickets, just as no one is forcing you to look at the pics.... In other words, "Methinks thou dost protest too much"

Oh give it up already. No one is buying anything you are saying. You are trying waaay too hard to discredit Madonna and it ain't working. Sad creature.

So all the Mariah Carey loons are still here trying to pretend Madonna is so passe'. Bwhahahahhahhaahaha.

Meanwhile, Madonna just announced her mega world tour. Number 1 album in 29 countries about to break her own record for most countries to hit #1 in. She is having unparalled success. She did all that without any antics( this kiss happened after her album was already #1). So much for the theory she needs shock value. Again, her song and album were huge mega smashes without her doing ANY promotion yet you all want to claim she has to kiss a girl on stage to sell? Retards. Its her great music. Always was, always has. Get used to it. She ain't goin anywhere.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 06:39 PM on 05/08/2008

She's done plenty of promotion (what the hell do you think a video is and the appearance at the Roseland with Justin--news that gets picked up by the wire and videos that get put on youtube). Nobody's ever claimed she's not savvy (hence the appearance of Justin Timberlake and Timbaland on her album). She's taking music produced by Timbaland that, if you were cool, you would have been listening to 5 years ago, that's now finally ready for mass consumption and, therefore, ripe for the plucking of Madonna. This is ongoing tactic of Madonna, find the "it" producer and have them create music that makes her seem relevant. There have been plenty of crappy albums that reach number 1 the first week out. The question isn't whether it's number 1; it's whether anyone listens to the same album 5 years from now. Can you with a straight face claim to listen to American Life to this day? Or, unless your an aging gay man or a woman emotionally stuck at 16, does anyone listen completely to ANY of her albums after a few months let alone a few years.

We are not Mariah Carey trolls. We are people who appreciate GREAT music and are weary of tired cliched antics. If Madonna put as much foresight into creating music that's sustainable as she does in prefabricated scandals meant to illicit fake outrage, then she might be a noteworthy musician.
