Is the TV spotlight fading for "Hannah Montana"?

The audience for Sunday's new episode of the Disney Channel phenom fell 24% from the previous fresh episode, which aired just under two months earlier, according to the Nielsen Company.

Compared to the first original show of the year, which aired in January, viewership for Sunday's show was down 33%.

Poor little rich girl...Don't worry Miley, you're still the apple of Walmart's eye.

We'll begin paying attention again once she turns 18 and starts doing porn.

#1) I don't think the picture was that bad. I think it was interesting the way the Media cropped it to make it look worse, but even in the cropped photo it is much ado about nothing.

#2) I don't think it's a fair measure on the ratings. I like the show and watch it with my kids and they've only had a couple of new episodes this year. I'm assuming that's because Cyrus was touring and they are making a new Montana movie that I think will be a theatrical release that's being shot right now in Tennessee. I think the ratings decline is probably due to over exposure of the series which runs every night and I suspect all of the fans of the show have seen every single episode at least 8 times.

This is a complete shame.

The woman that photographed her is world-renowned for really classy, tasteful photography. To be asked by this woman for photographs is kind of like having God coming down and asking you to have tea with him - you can say no, but you'd be crazy to.

I am not sure what the photographer was trying to say with this photo - which I think was classy, but oh well - but I don't really think that Miley was even remotely attempting to be seen as a floozy. She is a TEENAGER. It's like these people forget what it is like to be a teenager, and want to pretend, and pretending is just why there are so many teenage pregnancies.

Sometimes it sucks being in a country dominated by Christianity. This girl did absolutely nothing wrong - if anything, the blame should be placed on her parents or photographer - and she's paying the price for it.

She's too young to have her photo taken with her back bared, but old enough to be crucified for it.

What a country full of hypocrites we have.

it's called taking responsibility for your actions, which she is'nt too young to learn...this was planned and as such, the repurcussions should've been discussed at length...photographer is GOD is a lame excuse imo...there are a myriad of great photographers [playboy included]...just because someone asks does'nt mean that the offer should be entertained...does she need more publicity than she currently has?...where do we draw the line?....14....13...maybe twelve? where?...can you imagine what would happen to a priest caught with her photo on his computer? or maybe because she's popular she should be given a pass like Lohan and Spears...dismiss, condone and enable these young women into oblivion...teenage pregnancies are more the result of recklessness, carelessness and lack of judgement...the same reason that the drinking age is 21...i'm guessing that she is being "crucified" because it was HER CHOICE to take these photos...personal responsibility, which is part of being an adult...

I contend that America is still a Puritan nation with an awful lot of sexual hangups. God, to take such an innocent photo and turn into a row like this! What knuckleheads Americans are.

Shoudn't have taken the clothes off. There is absolutely no reason for a 15 or even a 16 yr old to be photographed that way!

You did SEE the photo, right? I spot teenagers on the street in mid-winter baring more skin.
I believe at about that same age legendary actress Betty Davis had posed for a nude bronze sculpture that appeared for a time in the Boston Gardens. Shocking, no? How DARE she have a public career afterward!

MikeDu, Bette Davis was 18, not 14 or 15.
