While I think Nicole is highly overrated as an actress, her ads for Chanel showed her to be an absolutely stunningly beautiful woman.

Aubrey just looks....plain? Granted she's a good looking woman, but she just comes across as average beautiful. BUT hey, it's their dime, I sure could have picked a hundred beauties more outstanding that her. And I still don't understand her choice in The Da VInci Code. She seemed way out of her league.

Kidman is just too cold for Channel. She is after all 60% plastic and 40% flesh & bones.

Audrey Tatou is beautiful and much more the Chanel type. She was great in the Da Vinci Code, as well.

Ms. Tatou has a very interesting face.

Isn't always about the money? Kidman wanted too much and couldn't deliver to her client a compelling reason to pay her. Tatou is younger and if sales don't dip, a better bang for the buck. Dumped is a great word to get eyeballs to read your copy. Better than her contract wasn't extended. How about F-I-R-E-D? Dumped is when a personal relationship goes sour.

Ms. Kidman's commercial on top of the Empire State Building was terrific! I wanted to know more, even though I know it is all hype. Chanel has made a mistake. I am sure it will not hurt Nicole at all.

I'm sure Nicole Kidman is not losing any sleep over this. Why say she was "dumped"? Kidman was the face for the campaign for several years, and now there's a new face. I think this is mean-spirited for no reason.

Btw, I am not a fan of her acting. I just think it's lame to try and create controversy where non exists.

Wasn't this the one who was soo excited when she got her Oscar, really livened up the show. Afterward she decided to give her two cents on what she thought of the war (or something like that)?

Nicole Kidman really brought class back to Chanel. Very reminiscent of Christian Dior. She will be a hard act to follow.

No, you have the wrong person. You are talking about Marion Cotillard who won an oscar for her portrayal of Edif Piaf! I love how Americans think one French Actress is the same as another. Typical ignorance!

you just lumped all Americans together, what does that say about you! Please don't insult all Americans over one persons mistake. Talk about ignorance....

I am an American, but I travel. Here is a funny story for you about "some" Americans, which btw embarrassed me to no end, since I too am American:
I am sitting in a Nice restaurant (and for those Americans who haven't looked at a map, it is in the South of France) and an American couple sit down at a table for four. They start to huff and puff about not being waited on, but little did they know they have to ask to be seated. When the waiter does come over he immediately pulls half of the table and chairs over to form another table for two. The American couple grow angry and the woman starts shouting at the waiter, "what are you doing that for?" The waiter replies, "If you would have asked to be seated, you would have been given a table for two, but you did not ask, you just assumed you could have all of this space at a very busy restaurant." The couple got up and left, thankfully, since "some" Americans talk REALLY loud! Get my point? When it comes to all things French, Americans are extremely ignorant--no doubt the "freedom fries" era had something to do with this behavior.

But Mattie, I am oh so sorry I hurt your feelings. But as an American I have a right to talk about Americans, or has your freedom of speech been thrown out the window as well?
