The Washington Post picks up some damning comments from a senior Clinton aide on Hillary's dwindling chances:

"Absent some sort of miracle on May 31st, it's going to be tough for us," said a senior Clinton official who spoke on the condition of anonymity in order to be frank. "We lost this thing in February. We're doing everything we can now . . . but it's just an uphill battle."

As voters went to the polls yesterday, Clinton tried to recast the terms of the race, telling reporters that the number of delegates needed to win is "2,209," rather than the 2,025 needed without Michigan and Florida.

"There are going to be the rest of these contests, which are very significant, and then in June, if we haven't done it already, we're going to have to resolve Florida and Michigan," she told reporters during a daytime event at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. "They were legitimate elections."

When she says "they were legitimate elections," what she means is: I'm lying again, and I still think you are too stupid to tell."

What an expletive deleted she is!!!

Yeah, by "legitimate" she must mean stalinesque. What else would you call an election where only one name was on the ballot (MI) or no one was allowed to campaign (FL)?

She defends FL by saying that every name was on the ballot so it was fair. Well, when Bill Clinton won the Democratic nomination in 1992 he was running third behind Bush Sr. and Ross Perot. I wonder how they would have liked it if the powers that be decreed that there was no campaigning allowed and a straight vote based on name recognition and popularity would decide it all. If that had happened, there wouldn't have been any "Clinton" brand-name for her to be running on now.

James Carville was quick to label the aide a traitor who should be hung at first light. Howard Wolfson releases statement about how the all that she needs to do is to hire an assassin and then she'll have this whole thing wrapped up!

That is so scary. However potentially true one has to review Clinton Body Count on ask.com to emotionally afraid what "shotgunjohnny" just said might have some truth.

The Michigan election legitimate? It is to laugh. Not only was Hillary's name the only one on the ballot, but I seem to recall something about it being ruled unconstitutional by the courts.

Hillary, maybe your husband doesn't have the stone to tell you this, and maybe the Democratic leadership doesn't either, so I guess I'll have to do it.

IT'S OVER!

time to go home and bake some cookies or something.

She made an investment. It tanked. End of story.

That's going to be the last nail in the coffin... she will agree to bow out if Obama agrees to assume her debt... as soon as that is negotiated, DONE!!

Clinton said about MI &FL: "They were legitimate elections."
How legitimate are they when in MI only Clinton name was on the ballot. In FL ( it is also true in MI), she knew very well that she was the most well-know so without campaigning she would get the most votes. Was that why she SIGNED the agreement that the votes would not be counted to trick other candidates to follow the rule of not campaigning for her own gain later? She had planned this all a long time ago didn't she? Clinton, you are not fit to be our President.

tenacity is a good thing sometimes but when it's over let go and stop lying. what does she think makes an election legal; the fact that she is involved?

I think you are all missing the point here. If she can drag this process out long enough and ruin Obamas chances of being the next president we will end up with McCain. Then, after four more years of republican war mongering and thievery, she'll run again in 2012. This cynical take on her strategy may seem far fetched to some but I really believe it and, because she's willing to wait while this counrty falls further into an inescapable pit, I find her claims to love America to be totally false.

He is so angry that CNN can not trust him on television right now...At least Pat Buchanan acknowledges the Math.

CNN hired Tony Snow 3 weeks ago...Tony Snow was the former Press Secretary for President Bush. When the military pundits were suspended 3 weeks ago from being the "talking heads" with the CNN anchor people after 8 years of brainwashing the American Public about the IRAQ war, then Tony Snow was immediately hired by CNN to monitor and prepare the planned questions for the negative history of the Clintons to be AIRED Nationally, if she became the nominee. CNN have nothing on Obama. CNN with (Tony Snow help) is prepared to have REPEATED Negative, embarassing QUESTIONS to be aired REPEATEDLY IF Hillary is the Nominee. CNN wants a Republican as does all the news medias...Republicans own these companies.

Favorite part of the night: LANNY DAVIS. He's been talking out of his butt for months. It was great to see the rest of the pundits actually laugh him off the screen last night when he spewed his talking points. Its great to see that now the MSM sees what we saw over two months ago!!

Imagine what the crew at MSNBC would have done to him. CNN has been pro Hillary from the beginning.

Senor Davis has no humility.

** staying her (divinely ordained) course **

Hilary is God's anointed One -- she says so; so it must be true. Empress of America & its spheres of influence worldwide & outer spatial domains --

all it requires is a little adjusting of the vote in Florida . . . or threatening a few super-delegates . . . or launching a court case.

Hasn't this happened before? No, that was a supremely bad dream.

After all, Her's will be an *enlightened* despotism.

So shameful. They admit that they know they lost in February, and yet they dragged it out another THREE MONTHS, draining the nominee of desperately needed money, time, party healing, and positive news coverage. They should be collectively banned from Democratic politics forever.

The Clintons's aim is not this election for all to see now. They look forward to 2012 but it proved to be backfired.

As far as FL and MI are concerned, just split the delegations 50-50 and let them all sit there in the convention, so they can be there. Get 50% pledged to each candidate, so they can vote.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 02:42 PM on 05/07/2008

I live in Florida and do not have a problem if they don't count. Here is what happened, I here the pundits say millions of people came out to vote just for that reason. That is a lie, we came out in droves because of the tax issue on the ballot, it was not about the primary, many people did not come out, if they did not own a home because we knew Florida would not count in the primaries. Now that Senator Clinton needs those votes all of her hinchmen in Florida are going crazy trying to get her in the White House, it is a sad shame.

I think it ought to be illegal to count the votes period. Unless there is a new primary open to all parties, will I get out to vote again. Also, in MI how can you ask for a new primary but close the primary to independents and republicans? I know why, because the Clintons wants to advantage themselves since they know that Obama pulls in the independent vote more.

So, peolple, mostly Clinton supporters will do anything or say anything to put the Queen on the throne. She and Bill campaigned in FLorida at least seven (7) times under the pretenses of fundraising. These people are not to be trusted.

I think at this point, the only logical solution left for seating FL and MI is to divide the delegates 50/50 but only allow 50% of the total delegates/superdelegates. The popular vote total is thrown out the window and that's it.

Go Obama!

Ah, yes. February gave me two gifts.

1. The Giants won the Superbowl.

2. Obama became the front runner.

You got that right I'm a huge Giants fan too and like the Giants the huge underdog Obama defeated the evil cheating Clintons.

Exactly ... Obama was a wild card and had (has) to win every game on the road to get to the Super Bowl. I just hope the Super Bowl of Elections will be just as thrilling - but Obama will need defense that is as good as the Giants to pull it off. The other side has Brady.
