Cindy McCain: I Will Never Release My Tax Returns

Last Sunday, the New York Times editorial board knocked the McCain campaign for not releasing various records, among them Cindy McCain's tax returns:

The portrait of Mr. McCain's finances is particularly skimpy because his wife, Cindy McCain, has chosen not to make her separate tax returns available. Mrs. McCain, the daughter of a multimillionaire Anheuser-Busch distributor, is not the candidate, but the need to gain public trust and to air potential conflicts of interest is vital. Four years ago, we urged Teresa Heinz Kerry, the wealthy wife of the 2004 Democratic nominee, to release her tax returns.

There is no question that Mr. McCain benefits from his wife's money, including his low-cost use during the campaign of a corporate jet owned by a company headed by Mrs. McCain.

But this morning on NBC's Today show, Cindy McCain declared that she will never release her tax returns -- not during the presidential campaign, and not even if she becomes first lady. "I'm not the candidate," she said.

I think most of the Obummer supporters on here are just jealous 'cause 'scowl-faced' Michelle is no where near as attractive as Cindy. BTW, Michelle thinks her country is 'down- right mean' and is not 'proud of her country', she's only proud of her hubby. Sorry, but I have to disagree with you. Michelle is obviously a very beautiful woman. Beauty, of course, is in the eye of the beholder, but saying that she isn't gives you away. It's very much like the standard Republican thought about Democratic or liberal celebrities in general: "They're ALL bad". "Barbra Streisand and Stevie Wonder have no talent", and "Mary Tyler Moore is ugly", and so on. It doesn't work to attack that way, because everyone knows it doesn't make sense and it doesn't ring true. But in this case, it also has the taint of racism about it. If I asked you to name a beautiful black woman, I wonder if you could; or if it would have to be a Republican black woman. I'm just saying, it's transparent at this point, and boring.
On the other hand, Cindy McCain is not bad looking. She has obviously taken very good care of her body and put a lot of work into making sure her hair and skin look good on camera. But her spirit comes through when she speaks publicly, and it's like she's just trying to be a good Republican wife. I can't remember seeing her interviewed where she said anything of any substance.
Thankfully, we're in a different age this time when most of us have access to news other than the propaganda we were fed in 2000. We can see for ourselves what Cindy McCain and John McCain are really like.

Cindy McCain is an accomplished woman, if you can get past the beauty queen and cheerleader stuff. Hensley received a Bachelor of Arts in education and a Master of Arts in special education, both from the University of Southern California. She was a special ed teacher, which is a credit to her.

After seeing the "interview" on Today, I was so glad to see Keith Olbermann call her the Worst Person In The World tonight. Hamas, the Wright remarks he has made though-out. Just because she is married to a man running for president, should that mean that his family should be subjected to the same ?
