CBS caught Senator Obama on Capitol Hill in a swarm of journalists today. CBS also reports that Speaker Pelosi jumped out of her weekly press briefing to greet the Senator. Read more below and watch video:

Sen. Barack Obama stepped into a swarm of superdelegates this morning when he visited the House of Representatives in the middle of a vote. Obama stayed on the floor for almost half an hour visiting with both Democrats and Republicans who looked completely star struck.

Even Speaker Nancy Pelosi left her weekly press briefing and made a beeline for the House floor to say hello. And the Capitol Hill press corps surrounded the House Chamber to catch him on his way out and fire questions about such an unusual move for a presidential candidate, even if he is a senator.

I did NOT like that little fan-movie. Does anyone else see all this as a set up? This is one nervous Obama supporter, even if he looked real good, this is the sort of thing that breeds jealousy and resentment as well as impossible expectations.

And Bush means what to you? Come on dude, give the guy a break. I know it's hard to see someone who actually IS presidential after eight years of the Chimp in the oval office but how nice to have someone who will be willing to speak on the fly, and not having everything staged. Peace.

I live in Washington and have been hounding Rick Larsen for months to support Senator Obama because of the overwhelming turnout for him in the caucuses. Now we still have two senators supporting Hillary: Patty Murray and Maria Cantwell. These two need to wake up and smell the coffee.

Murray is close personal friends with Hillary, probably won't happen. I'm counting on Cantwell and Inslee to wake up and smell the coffee though. I mean, King County only went 70/30 Obama, yeesh.

And we will get results just like after Pelosi was made Speaker. 2006 really changed things? 2008 will also not make any difference. Want to bet on how many troops are in Iraq in 2012, following 4 years of Obama? Prepare to be disappointed.

After Obama there will be close to zero US troops in Iraq. You will however see a hapless effort of UN troops to stabilize a failed US attempt at "nation building", a past-time of certain presidents which will go onto the rubble-pile of history, where it rightly belongs.

I expect to see a "surge" of mercenaries as well. Reduce the troop presence, increase the duties of Blackwater/Dyncorp/AEGIS, etc.

"Prepare to be disappointed"

If you're a repub, you'll definitely be disappointed! If you're an American, you'll be HAPPY!

I've been disappointed for a very long time but somehow I think it can't get any worse than the last eight years. I'm perfectly willing to take the chance on Obama after seeing just how well he has organized and lead on campaign.

So what! President Bush held a meeting to console the Republicans after they miscalculated the elections. Where's that report? This isn't news' it's time-wasting.
