CNN:

He has publicly urged Republicans to vote for Hillary Clinton to keep the divisive Democratic nomination fight alive, but talk radio host Rush Limbaugh said Wednesday it's Barack Obama who he really wants to be the party's nominee.

"I now believe he would be the weakest of the Democrat nominees," Limbaugh, among the most powerful voices in conservative radio, said on his program. "I now urge the Democrat supereldegates to make your mind up and publicly go for Obama."

You people are hilarious! Rush is playing you like a three dollar ukelele. Just think. Six months ago you were saying Rush is no longer relevant. Now you've got your panties in a knot over every word he says.

Is this a great country or what?

We don't have our "panties in a knot". If you would look at the comments you would see that we are just having a little get-together to laugh and celebrate the idiocity of our enemy and his brainless followers.

Hey . let's try this post.

HuffPo's gutless censors do not allow dissenting opinions on the "I Love Obama" sites.

Obama has not & will not win anything unless MI & FL voters are disenfranchised; he wlll simply be given the nomination because the Scream & his henchmen are so very weak.

Johnny Reb Kemp is a bigoted historical revisionist crank who argues that the *North* started the American Civil War, only he calls it the "War of Northern Aggression."

Johnny Reb Kemp is a demonstrable Social Darwinist and loyal partisan of the Busheviks and their "party of family values:"

http://www.armchairsubversive.org

Johnny Reb Kemp is just another of the lost and the damned who slavishly support and defend the criminality of the Busheviks and their neo-quack agendas.

Comedian Limbaugh - he really is pretty funny. KO ko's him out every night.

Little does he realize that as much as the Obama supporters don't like the Billary supporters and vice versa, one thing is clear: We ALL loathe Limbaugh. He will unite the democrats to bury the right in November.

Keep it coming...

And a radio personality will not unite squat.

"Barack Obama has shown he cannot get the votes Democrats need to win – blue-collar, working class people," Limbaugh said.

"I have a much broader base to build a winning coalition on," Hillary Clinton said in an interview with USA Today, "Sen. Obama's support among working, hard-working Americans, white Americans, is weakening again, and... whites in both states who had not completed college [are] supporting me."

I don't know. LOL. It seems to me that Rush Limbaugh is still "campaigning" for Hillary Clinton. In any case, and for all practical purposes, he is certainly doing everything he can to echo Sen. Clinton's racially-obsessed talking points.

Will the MSM take the bate? Some have and some will. But overall people are not swallowing the spin. Charles Blow's study (in the NY Times) of what the actual hard data actually are, and Al Giordano's article on that topic, "Operation Anti-Chaos: The Narrative on 'White Voters' Is Fiction" is very relevant to that regard:

There is no doubt that what he is doing is vote tampering. The actions of those following his instructions are unethical at best, and in the cases of Ohio and Indiana, while perhaps not provable to the point of being prosecutable, are definitely illegal.

But perhaps the worst thing about what Limbaugh is doing is the psychological impact on people about the election process. He is mainstreaming the idea that it is OK to tamper with the vote. It is like any propaganda; the first reactions of most people is shock and outrage, but after a while, it becomes the acceptable norm for this sort of behavior.

But it is not acceptable, it is not ethical, it is not even legal in many states.

In fact, I'd go so far to say as corrupting the democratic election process is about as un-American as you one get.

In this Rovian Era the only ethic is winning at any and all costs. If keeping one party or one political philosophy using both parties, in power perpetually destroys everything this country was founded on, tough shit. Under the Patriot Act and Military Commissions Act the things that O"Reilly, Coulter and Limbaugh rant and slobber about should get them labeled as enemy combatants and if they were on the other side of the political fence they would be. This is truly a Raider Nation, as Al Davis said "Just win baby, just win." Look into the Black Hole at a Raider's homegame and you will see the face of American politics, it's pretty ugly out there.

I feel bad for the Republican party for allowing Rush to speak on its behalf. He reminds me of a child answering the phone: "mommy said she's not home." Transparency in the brain!

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 12:53 PM on 05/08/2008

But the Republican Party DOESN'T allow Rush to speak for them anymore. Otherwise, McCain wouldn't be their nominee. He said "Don't nominate McCain," they said "Take a hike, Rush. We don't need you anymore. Your market share is plummeting and we have better ways to reach our racist, xenophobic base now. " The GOP did with Rush what I did with the stuff in my cats' litter boxes the other day.

if it is illegal, then at the very least bill bennett, michael medved, and laura ingraham are guilty.
if its not illegal it should be. i thought it seemed kinda unfair that they would get to air all their anti-liberal stuff daily to millions while this race is going on, especially since theirs is already over.

totalliberal, the Fairness Doctrine, which required balance in reporting, no longer exists.

"When the fairness doctrine came before the courts in 1987, they decided that since the doctrine was not mandated by Congress, it did not have to be enforced. FCC suspended all but the two corollary doctrines at this time.

As this was happening, Congress passed a bill to make the fairness doctrine into law. However, President Reagan vetoed the legislation and there were insufficient votes to override the veto. In 2000, when the FCC failed to justify the two remaining corollary rules, the political editorial rule and the personal attack rule were repealed."

You may thank Reagan for Limbaugh's unopposed partisan ranting.

Limbaugh so reminds me of Bush. He can't stand it when he is wrong, so he changes his position to fit the prevailing circumstances.

The Republicans are scared spitless to run against Obama.

Rush is representative of how things work in Washington. Character assasination and smoke screen politics! It will be interesting to see if our citizens continue to crave this type of rhetoric. Our country's moral health/future are linked to the answer.
I wonder about the international appeal of this election. I was in Germany when Reagan replaced Carter. Many german citizens were glad to see what they considered weak leadership being replaced by strong leadership. How doesthe world see Obama? If he is percieved to be too nice, I predict his international policy will fail. Unlike Mcain, I don't think we have to worry about Obama being aggressive. But if he is perceived to be fair, America will enjoy a type of prosperity and respect not seen since Kennedy was president. No kool-aid here, I've been around the world and americans (we) are looked upon as social hypocrites. Preaching human rights for years while oppressing our own citizens.
An Obama presidency could signal the political and social progress that has taken place in America over the last 40 years. It could also smother some of the anti-American sentiment and set the stage for global opportunity, instead of global assualt. If my children are safe due to peace or war, doesn't matter much to me, so long as they are safe. An Obama presidency represents all that is right about America and translates to an inner strength or a national cofidence that will attract international respect.

I just got an email from a friend who is in on the faculty of a Department of Germanic Languages & LIteratures at an American University, who lived in Germany as a child, and has many personal and professional contacts there. My friend's mother is Dutch. She wrote me:

"Here's a quotable quote: my mom commented to me
on the phone recently that "by now, whenever Hillary comes on the TV,
she looks like the Madwoman of Chaillot, with her eyes bugging out and
waving her arms like a windmill." LOL

Go Obama!(Incidentally, he's hugely popular in Germany.)

Forget the primaries. I firmly believe that there are a lot of sensible, moderate Republicans who look at the incompetence of Bush and Cheney and their troop of baboons in complete disbelief and utter disgust at what they've done to America. Do you really think these Republicans will be voting for George Bush III? There will be cross-over voting but not because of radical buffoons like Limbaugh.
