How very sad. Each day I see another one of these finger-wagging spectacles by Bill Clinton, I feel sadder and sadder for the continuing degeneration of his public persona.

I also get increasingly angrier at Bill for failing to demonstrate this sort of contentious, combative, hostile behavior back when he should have - - when the Republican smear machine was railroading him into an impeachment checkmate. Bill Clinton should have exhibited some cojones when Paula Jones' legal hitmen wanted to take his deposition while he was sitting in the Oval Office. THAT was the time for Bill to get all feisty. THAT'S when he should have said, "F$*k you! You want to depose a sitting President in a civil lawsuit? Fuggetaboutit! You want a constitutional crisis? Bring it on!!!" But no, spineless Bill caved in, sat for the deposition, lied, and got impeached.

Now that it doesn't matter anymore, now that there are no consequences to going all prickly-assed on anyone who crosses him, Bill's the guy who takes no crap.

About a decade late, billions of dollars and one impeachment short, Billy Boy.

You are incorrect. Bill Clinton did challenge the civil lawsuit to the Supreme Court. Then and only then did he sit down for the disposition. Check the facts.
I don't care if he gets feisty over some plant of Barak Obama's who comes to the speech to make a scene. I didn't hear him say any 4-letter words on the video, but I wouldn't have blamed him. Obama supporters are arrogant and nasty.

yeah, arrogant and nasty. So I guess a majority of the people in the democratic people are arrogant and nasty then, because Clinton supporters are obviously the majority now. Quit stereotyping large groups of people because your upset that the democratic process doesn't elect the people that you alone like.

well, got distracted on that last post. Anyway, I meant to say that since Obama supporters are the Majority of the party, that just means, according to you, that most of the party is nasty and arrogant. Quit stereotyping people because you don't get your way.

You are incorrect. Bill handled the whole situation poorly. He should have nipped it in the bud by making it a bad political move on the parts of the Republicans. The CLintons like to say they took on the Republican machine and won. True, they did win 2 elections. But they gave the Republicans everything they wanted in the end. This woman showed tremendous courage calling Bill Clinton out. It's amazing to me this hasn't been a bigger issue. How hard did they fight for us back then if we are still talking about health care today?

This piece is a real stretch. There's plenty to criticize Bill for, but this isn't part of it. Add that the woman makes no sense at all, and I'm not sure who this is supposed to embarrass. As an Obama supporter, I sure don't see how it helps him.

Ask yourself,

what did Hillary and Bill deliver on health care?

Now ask yourself again if that lady was right.

Bill, it is true she worked on health care. It is also true she didn't do anything for it. At least not in the big picture. Maybe her fault, maybe not, I don't know for sure. But it is ridiculous that in USA we don't have single payer state managed health-care but a stupid for profit system that trades lives for money. Health and education shouldn't have a price in dollars. Their price is civilization and the future of the nation.

Her work on health care in those Clinton years is indicative of what she'd be like as president. Spinning around doing a lot of work and nothing to show for it in the end because she pisses everyone off and the whole thing blows up in her face. But them she can come on TV and defend herself about how hard she is working. The only thing Hillary works hard for is her own political career. When she truly has a chance to help people, "HARD WORKING WHITES' (as opposed to lazy blacks?) she is MIA. Look at NY State. She promised 240,000 jobs. When they didn't pan out she made excuses "Well, I thought it could happen when I thought Al Gore would be president". Yeah. Can't rely on the Federal Govt for anything, so when you become a state senator you have to make it happen for your state. We never see her here. She used NY as her launch pad for her presidential run. It would look good to be a "Senator From NY."
She is making us all ill. I'm thinking someone shoud do a contrail message over her house : SURRENDER HILLARY" a la "The Wizard Of Oz".

The Clinton Health Care Package failed because, as usual, MRS Clinton would not take the advice of experts. Donna Shalala, Health and Human Services Secretary warned MRS Clinton that the plan was too expensive, too large and unwieldy. More in keeping with the presidency of FDR, during the economic depression, rather than the relative prosperity of the 90s. Before you suggest that others bone up on their facts you should take that advise. you have a right to your opinion you do not have a right to your own facts.

I guess your mind is missing too. Bill was the last succesfull democratic in 40 years. Obamaniacs, the so called affluent and educated, just don't have class and respect .
It is why we will end up with McCain.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 07:05 AM on 05/10/2008

No we will end up with McCain because of a loyalty to Bill Clinton who was an average president who governed during exceptionally prosperous times for which he could take no credit. This loyalty will manifest itself by supporters of Bill Clinton's wife making a statement by either not voting or voting for McCain. Are these people, many of them women willing to have the Republicans pick the next 3 or 4 supreme court justices? The average age of the supremes is 68, should john McCain win the presidency and serve one term, his VP will have a better change of being elected and could serve two terms. so, you have a minimum of 4 years or Republicans and a max of 16 if McCain serves two terms. The left leaning judges will, of course, try to hang on but they are the oldest in the pack. So these Mrs. Clinton fans could be responsible for the overturning of Roe VS Wade? And give up a woman's right to choose for Hillary Clinton, the mediocre senator from NY. I don't think so.

Unfortunately, Former President Clinton has further tarnished his legacy. He had a chance to presidential during his wife's campaign, but he made if personal. He even seemed to take steps to torpedo her candidacy.. Who knows what was really going on there.. Maybe some day we will know.

Didn't Tarantino make a movie about these 2 called "Kill Bill"? He'll probably do a remake right after the election letting the HillBillys play themselves. Hillary's got her action shot down...running around with her eye hanging out...watch out Bill when she wakes up from that coma.

Here is the real 3AM phone call:

"Hello, who is this... is this an emergency? Bill ... BILL! what the hell are you doing on this phone... where the heck are you? Who are you with? Get your ass home now!"

With Obama in the Whitehouse it will be "Hello, who is this? President Clinton? Sir, please do not use this phone.... No Monica doesn't work here anymore.... Please sir do not ever use this phone."

Considering the current economic state of the country, the toll that the Iraq war is exacting, as well as morale in general for the past several years, unquestionably, it's better to "fall for" "hope" and "change" rather than doubt, despair and same ol' i.e. status quo.

I guess if we all were removed from our guises, prejudgements and antipathy we would digest reality and embrace logic more effectively.

And this comment from "theblindboygrunt" - a 'hope'-less person who detests "changes" in life. Not even the changing seasons.
And wouldn't fall for anything - not even love!

But Fear Not.
Come celebrate with us next year - at the inauguration of a new era of "HOPE and CHANGE" in these our united states.

Regarding what one writer said about Clinton's failure on the Contract for America. I thought that was the Newt Gingrich and Republican agenda?

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 10:58 PM on 05/09/2008

The Contract for America was Newt Gingrich's. It had a long of impact in the 1994 campaign. I'm sure it had a lot to do with losing the house to the Republicans. However, one of the items was a balanced budget. Whatever went wrong?
