Michelle Vetoes Hillary As Veep Pick

Close-in supporters of Sen. Barack Obama's presidential campaign are convinced he never will offer the vice presidential nomination to Sen. Hillary Clinton for one overriding reason: Michelle Obama.

The Democratic front-runner's wife did not comment on other rival candidates for the party's nomination, but she has been sniping at Clinton since last summer. According to Obama sources, those public utterances do not reveal the extent of her hostility.

A footnote: Support is growing in Democratic ranks for Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland as vice president. He would bring to the ticket maturity (66 years old), experience (six terms in Congress) and moderation (rated "A" by the National Rifle Association). He is very popular in Ohio, a state Republicans must carry to elect a president.

All the repubes will do it juxtaposition a split screen photo of Cindy McCain ( with her scary "Children of the Corn" BLUE eyes and her blonde hair) and Michelle Obama (with her very strong African American features) and they can kiss the Joe Sixpack vote goodbye. Couple this with the repubes stationing a reporter outside of Obama's Grandma's house in Kenya 24/7 (emphasizing his African roots), and many white votes will run the other way. We are going to have over 4000 delegates in the Democratic convention. Almost half of which are Clinton delegates. After all is said and done, Obama is having a little over 150 more delegates than Clinton. So ignor Clinton. Sure take Michells advice. I like Barack Obama. I think he will make a good president. I especially like the way he has drawn so much new, youthful energy into politics. I teach high school and it has been heartening to see kids who were totally apathetic and uninvolved just a year ago, suddenly full of hope and optimism, so ready to get involved in making this country the best it can be. I salute Senator Obama for that and I look forward to voting for him in November.

On the other hand, I do not relish the prospect of four (or eight) years of having to listen to Michelle Obama's shrill cackling noises. I'm stocking up on ear plugs and I'm going to get a pair of those noise-canceling headphones.

Man that is wishful thinking.........she wears the pants in that family. Early in the primary process she said, "This is your only chance to have Barack be you president.........We would be in a different place when the next election comes around; so he wouldn't run again."

Yeah, they probably would not be in public service, but like the thesis she did in college studying what college educated blacks do after graduation. Do they return to their communities to help other blacks, or do they go into the white community to make money and improve their status? She found that educated blacks went into white society, much as she and her husband did. You know he has a history of not staying in any one job very long. After two years in the Illinois state legislature, he ran for US Senator and lost, but he ran again in 2006 against crazy Alan Keyes, a black and won. After 1 1/2 years in the US Senate he ran for president. Frankly, I think he should have entitled his book.......The Audacity of Ambition, BTW, it was Michelle who said when asked about supporting Hillary in the GE If she was the candidate, "I'd have to think about that."
