Hillary Vice President

CNN:

Sen. Barack Obama's presidential campaign rejected suggestions Sunday that Sen. Hillary Clinton is staying in the race in hopes of brokering some kind of agreement with the likely Democratic nominee.

"I don't believe that Sen. Clinton is looking for a deal," Obama's chief campaign strategist, David Axelrod, told "Fox News Sunday," when asked about suggestions she may want the Obama campaign's help retiring her campaign debt.

"I don't think that's what this is about," he said.

Last week, Obama sparked rumors that his campaign would pay off Clinton's campaign debts once he secured the nomination.

More than likely, she has been told that there is no interest in having her on the ticket.

Possibly, but since Bill and Hillary both thought they had the nomination and the Presidency wrapped up, a VP slot is not what they want.

I have seen no evidence that the Clinton campaign pays any attention to evidence.

They don't pay any attention to the will of the voters either.

Things have a way of working out. What can each of us today to change and heal the direction of this country? What if we could change our direction? Imagine the possibility!

I don't think Hillary would be a good pick for VP, regardless of who's on the top of the ticket.

Not because she isn't a outstanding public servant, but because it would be nearly a demotion compared to her more visible position previously as First Lady. The entire situation would be odd and awkard: and I both Clintons would have a difficult time adjusting to the second-billing status of 'Vice'.

However, I think it might be kind and generous -- and perhaps well-deserved -- if she were offered a post on Obama's administration/cabinet.

I don't think she would accept.

Perhaps not. There does appear to be some bad vibes all the around ...

But hopefully not too bad though, hopefully cool enough for the entire party -- including the Clintons and Co. -- to come together and work toward getting a Dem (Obama) into the WH in November.

opps, typo on last sentence in second paragraph, should include the word 'think' and read:

.... awkard: and I think both Clintons .....

I shouldn't say this, but if she did take the offer, if one was made, she might bring new meaning to 'Vice' in Vice President. And I don't mean sexual vice, either, I mean political vice.

Grandma Hillary should retire from the stage. Too much botox. She and and hubby Billy are experiencing the early stages of dementia. They have forgotten this is about more than 300 millions of us, not just the Clintons. They need tyo be locked away in a home.

Bill and Hillary are not idiots. They know the math. And they know the inevitable result.

I think this MI and FL thing is just a ploy to keep Hillary on the national stage for as long as possible so she can attack and damage Obama as much as possible. Hillary knows that there is no solution to MI/FL problem which would be acceptable to Obama and his supporters if that means he loses the nomination. And he now has the majority in the Credentials committee (which would eventually decide) on his side.

There is only one way that Hillary can get the nomination: damage/destroy Obama by any means possible, then convince the party that he is unelectable.

A damaged Obama works for Hillary in another way, even if he gets the nomination. It increases the chances of McCain winning in November. That gives Hillary another chance to run in 2012.

There is no other purpose that Hillary has now to stay in the race except to cause as much damage to Obama as possible before she leaves the national stage. The moment she concedes, she would have no voice and no platform to attack Obama.

This, I think, is what is going on now. And it has been going on at least since Texas primary.

It will be interesting to see how Obama will try to get the Clinton supporters after all the hatred his supporters spewed.

What say you Obama supporters?

Lets see some of that famous unity.

Unity is not a prefix for unilateral. Camp Clinton is still insisting she will be the nominee. How do you unify with that? Take two to tango.

The same way that McCain got Romney's supporters after all the hatred spewed between those two.

Americans have a very, VERY short attention span and generally do, and think, EXACTLY as the TV tells them to.

I agree!!! Given some time I feel that there will be a united Democratic party. Those who threaten to vote for McCain in November are merely blowing smoke, no one wants 4 more years of Bush politics. I have faith in the American people to do the right thing to turn this country around and put it in the right direction.

You know if Obama was doing this to Hillary at the end you people "apparently hard working white stupid uneducated folks" would be going crazy.

This is no different than when the Clinton's left the White House and stole the silverware. What a couple of Arkansas crooks!

Hey gotalife, get one. Trying to goad people into bantering with you isn't anyway to prove your point. There certainly hasn't been any lack of venom anywhere on the web or in the media of HRC's supporters towards BO.
