CNN:

Sen. Barack Obama's presidential campaign rejected suggestions Sunday that Sen. Hillary Clinton is staying in the race in hopes of brokering some kind of agreement with the likely Democratic nominee.

"I don't believe that Sen. Clinton is looking for a deal," Obama's chief campaign strategist, David Axelrod, told "Fox News Sunday," when asked about suggestions she may want the Obama campaign's help retiring her campaign debt.

"I don't think that's what this is about," he said.

Last week, Obama sparked rumors that his campaign would pay off Clinton's campaign debts once he secured the nomination.

IM4Clinton:
“West Virginia is a state thar Bill Clinton carried twice- no Democrat has since then”
Yeah I heard Terry say the same thing on Sunday. Not sure why Hillary didn’t win Illinois. Didn’t Bill carry that state? Why couldn’t Hillary win that state? I just don’t get it.

He's just trying to stir people up. If you read his profile he looks like a GOP troll posing as a Clinton supporter.

Edwards said he was going all the way to the convention right up until the day he dropped out. Hillary will do the same thing. But dropping out will happen.

According to www.senate.gov:

"In 1964, Maine Senator Margaret Chase Smith declared her candidacy for the Republican nomination for president, becoming the first woman to actively seek the presidential nomination of a major political party. Smith served in the Senate from 1949 to 1971, following a decade of service in the House of Representatives."

No interest in the VP slot. Great!! The feeling is more than mutual. Slating clinton as vp goes against Obamas platform and core beliefs - no way clinton fits in that picture.

Please Obama, McCain, Nader anybody. Put her on the ticket. Pay off her debts. Make her Miss America.
Just get this do nothing racist carpetbagger the heck out of NY. I know she won the primary. How could she not? The NY Democratic party turned itself over to her. Any Dem who disagreed was marginalized. There were precincts where no other candidate recorded any votes. And look @ what the party leadership stuck us with as Governor.
So while you're at it take her crew of sycophants including Uncle Tom Rangel too. We won't miss them. We'll replace them w/ people who care about NY & the USA.
We have Bloomberg for Governor and a few Dems actually had the guts to stand up to her we can send to Congress. Who needs Bishop when we have Cooper, etc.

She's also from the wrong state and she's got the wrong resume. VP must be a popular local politician from a major swing state. Preferably with some military background. Webb anyone?

Webb has stated he would not take the VP slot - but here's one to toss around. Obama wants to reach across the aisle right? He needs someone with military experience and he needs someone from a red state. Chuck Hagel is leaving the Republican party. He has been extremely outspoken against the war and against this administration. He was the former Deputy Adminstrator of the Veterans Adminstration. He is respected by many Democrats and Republicans. With him on the ticket I think many red states would turn blue. Just a thought, but wouldn't that just be a shocker?!

You wonder what will happen to West Virginia’s tourist economy if they overwhelmingly support Hillary in their primary. She is the self proclaimed ambassador for ignorant, poor white Americans who hate black Americans. Sadly, she’s proud of it. Perhaps the KKK will find it a tourist’s haven.

Hillary Rodham Clinton's Rose Law Firm billing records, found in the White House residence in January 1996 two years after they had been subpoenaed by government regulators, disappeared shortly after the first lady was warned that the firm's billing problems were "very serious" and the then-ongoing Whitewater investigation could result in criminal charges, newly obtained records show.

More than 1,100 pages of grand jury testimony, investigative reports, memos, charging documents, chronologies, narratives and draft indictments, previously undisclosed but now being "processed" at the Library of Congress, say Mrs. Clinton knew considerably more about the firm's billing problems and their potential ramifications than she publicly acknowledged at the time.

I've always known that, eventually, someone would come right out and say it. Be careful. All three camps have readers that read Kos and Huffington and TPM and Politico. And report back. It enables the candidates to keep their finger on the pulse of the voters. Don't charge them with this, for even though you have a screen name...just be careful.

I think Russ Feingold should be picked as VP, he has the same integrity, moral values, competence, intelligence, charm and decision making ability as Obama. If anything happened to Obama we could be confident that Feingold would lead this country admirably. Despite the corporate media's propaganda push, the majority of Americans now finally understand Iraq / Afghanistan /Lebanon are war crimes and that American torture camps and American support for apartheid in Palestine are crimes against humanity, the majority of Americans now want to definitively end American terrorism because they see it doesn't work...they're not getting the low prices at the pump and strong dollar they were originally hoping for with the Invasion of Iraq, etc...Americans have finally seen the light so it doesn't matter whom Obama picks as long as the person is competent and of the highest integrity...I can't find anyone better than Feingold...Feingold like Obama has the respect of the majority of Americans, unlike other progressives like Kennedy, Kerry, Boxer, Kucinich...I wonder how many agree with me on Feingold for VP?

This Monday morning, Senator Joseph Lieberman - Independent of Connecticut - told everyone that he was a "Democrat" and that he would attend the GOP National Convention and that he would endorse John McCain, the Republican candidate. THE FORMER STATEMENT IS A LIE AND THE SECOND IS THE TRUTH.

Senator Lieberman blackmailed the Democratic Party into giving it the phony majority of one in the Senate. The Prime Minister of AIPAC or the honourary President of the Likud Israeli State has a loyalty to a foreign policy that bankrupts the USA morally and economically in support of the foreign policy aims of Israel. This will hopefully end when the Senate is fully Democratic and we can "reward" Lieberman's political treason with exile from this party.

THIS IS PROOF POSITIVE THAT DLC DINO'S ARE NOT DEMOCRATS. AND THAT IS CLINTON.

Agree, she is very astute and I'm sure as any good wife, will catch the things
he might miss. I've been doing it in the background with my husband and
our business for years, so far I've been spot on in my observations. Before
anyone suggest that this is interfering I would point out, that this is respect
and love for your husband, wife or partner. Democratic nominee or not,
he is human and devoted to his family as well as to the American people.

I don't want Hillary on the ticket, but neither do I want Michelle 'making sure' of anything that isn't hers to make sure of. As I said elsewhere, if I want a co-presidency, I can vote Hillary and Bill. The choice of VP is for Obama to make, not his wife, it just makes him look weak if he lets someone else make this kind of decision for him---lots of potential supporters might take it that way, and it could hurt him. I wish she nwould stay out of it---thnat is, if she was ever in it, Novak might be making the whole thing up, to cause strife.

It may be his idea already not to ask HRC, but it also may be that Michelle doesn't want her as VP either. But the media's reporting of it in terms of what Michelle wants may be deliberate on their part to make him look weak.
They report it in terms of what Michelle wants first and then Barack comes out later and picks someone else. Then they claim or imply that he was influenced by Michelle. Not nice, but that's MSM for ya.

I find the numerous posts by Clinton supporters who say Obama supporters are nasty, despicable, etc...a bit laughable. After all how many die hard Clinton supporters are there at huffpo? 30, 75, 200?
Whatever the amount it is minuscule compared to the Clinton supporters who, when push comes to shove, will see the light and vote for Obama regardless.
Another interesting aspect of this is how many of these Clinton die hards actually use threats to make the point that they may not vote for Obama. These people likely will not vote for Obama no matter what. And lets be realistic, yes there are many more Obama supporters at huffpo, but the rhetoric I have seen posted by Clintons support group have been as nasty or nastier than Obamas supporters.
I suggest to Clinton supporters to take a different tact if they want to galvanize their party. Something Bill & Hillary seem intent on not doing.

http://blog.hillaryclinton.com/blog/main/2008/05/10/152317

They are all gleefully threatening to vote for McCain. Its pretty pathetic. HRC and BO are 90% the same policy wise, so anyone who throws their vote away has no business calling themselves a Democrat. What a bunch of disgraces.
